Born in the city of Ortona, Italy, on the Adriatic Sea, Chef Marco Cudazzo knows cuisine. A friendly spot in a residential neighborhood with food on par with what I ate in Italy for 2 weeks in September. Veal with prosciutto and provolone was fantastic, sauce so good I had to sop it up. Wonderful Parmesan in Caesar salad. Grandmother’s cake more like a pie, but paired well with Sangiovese I ordered. Only negative I can think of was high markup on wine. Will be back.
We love this restaurant. Visit Orlando a few times per year and stay out near Disney. Even though it is 30 min drive, always book a table. The owner often greats you at the door or visits your table during the evening. Servers are knowledgeable about the food and wine. There is just something special about visiting this great family spot place when surrounded by so many restaurants with some chef’s name attached.
We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times before and the food was very good each time. We try to eat here when we are in the Orlando area. e have not been in the area for 18 months so we wanted to go back to an "Old Friend". Well we should not have. I have an allergy to Black Pepper. I always ordered the paperdelle with meat sauce. When I informed our server of my allergy he said that I could not have this dish as the meat sauce has black pepper in it. So they made the pasta dish with oil and garlic. I also asked for the pasta to be softer than Al Dente. When my dish came out the noodles were more Al Dente than soft and the dish had no taste what so ever. I took 2 forkfuls and I was done. The owners wife saw I was not eating and asked if there was anything she could do or if I wanted another dish and I said there was nothing on the menu that I would want. The chef who I think is her husband came over and wanted to make the dish alfredo and that is something I did not want tonight so I said thanks but no thanks. When the server came over to clear the table he asked me if I wanted to have my food boxed up and I told him I could not eat it. And I did not want it. To my surprise when the check came my dish was still on the bill even though 3 people knew I did not like it and it was not prepared as I had asked. This will be the last time we will frequent this establishment.
Excellent authentic Italian cuisine! Great, welcoming ambiance, reminiscent of a typical Italian trattoria. Transported me back to my visits to Italia and brought back great memories. Friendly staff and restaurant owners, which made he experience even more delightful. I loved the experience and it is a place, I would definitively come back to!!!
Heard this restaurant was very authentic Italian, and it is. And one of the better Italian spots in Central Florida. It has typical dishes, well-prepared although three of my guests said the food was highly salted and one dish -- grilled salmon-- was dry (a bit-overcooked}. It lacks a full liquor license, but has a good wine list from which to select. The service was outstanding and the ambiance is cozy and welcoming.
This was our first time dining at Adriatico and I must say it was an great experience. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by our server Ivan and escorted to our table. After a house salad and a caprese salad, we dined on the specials of the evening . The grouper limon was perfectly prepared and sauced as was the slowly braised lamb shank with mushroom sauce. We shared a lovely bottle of wine and followed dinner with a home made lemon tort. Afterwards the owner Rosalie stopped by our table, introduced herself and spoke with us for a while. We will definitely be going back to work ourselves through the menu. I highly recommend Adriatico for an authentic Italian dinner in a cozy, family atmosphere.
Charming little neighborhood gem with GREAT Italian food! The owners great you on entering and take care of you throughout dinner. I started with a nice glass of recommended Sangiovese and some Bruschetta... the toppings were fresh and the bread was crisp! A little balsamic reduction and some shaved parmesan on top would have been nice addition. The Cesar salad was good, and not too huge. As an entree I had their "Vitello al Sienese" which are two lightly floured scaloppini veal medallions sautéed & topped with Prosciutto di Parma & Fontina cheeses, in a Pinot Grigio wine sauce, over a bed of fresh spinach... excellent! I was beyond stuffed at this point... but the home made Tiramisu was calling my name... thankfully it wasn't huge... but definitely worth the calories! The bill was also a nice surprise... coming in much lower than expected... Grazi!
You can't get this exquisite Italian fare anywhere else in Orlando. It's always fresh and delicious. Chef Marco creates pure culinary magic in the kitchen and his wife Rosetta and staff make you feel like family. We've never been disappointed. We always recommend this gem to our family and friends.
As always, Adriatico never disappoints. Service and food are alway impeccable. Every time we go we end up getting the specials. Lamb shank was as smooth as velvet, cooked to perfection. Portion size was almost too much. Served with pasta with mushrooms. I would have preferred mushroom risotto to the pasta, but still outstanding. Wife had grouper special, which was fresh flavorful, and light. Small place, not many table so they aren't deep in too many covers a night, which helps in their quality.
Recommended by a restaurant owner in Madison, WI to check out while in Orlando. This is a family owned restaurant making some of their own pasta in house or sourcing from Italy for dry pastas. It's located very much away from the 'Disney' Orlando area and feel in an older part of the city with an urban neighborhood feel. The food was fantastic, especially the homemade meatballs and burrata. Good value as well for two people wanting to try a number of dishes we two appetizers, two salads, two entrees and two glasses of wine for around $100. Would recommend if you want to see a more local Orlando far removed from Disney and International Drive tourist traps that cost more.
Three of us went for lunch. This restaurant is flawless. The service is gracious, the food is fabulously authentic, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The wine includes authentic regional Italian selections. Our group enjoyed one glass of Riesling or Chardonnay. Soup of the day was lentil (a generous serving) as flavorful first plate.
The grilled salmon salad entrée was moist and satisfying, an exceptional eggplant parmesan was covered with gooey cheeses, and the spaghetti with clams (all in the shell with oil & garlic) was delicious. The desserts accompanied with coffee and cappuccino are heaven. Tiramisu is creamy and light as air, there is a rich ricotta cheesecake, and a panna cotta with berries which was the standout dessert. We enjoyed a chat with the owner who keeps a close eye on the front room and took the time to thank the chefs in the kitchen for an incredible meal. We will be back in spite of an hour's drive for us to dine there as it's well worth the trip!
