Adelphia Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The service was outstanding. With the exception of my salad the food was excellent. My husband is very picky about crab cakes and he said the ones (2) he received were as crab cakes should be. It was Saturday evening (7:15) and the place was pretty noisy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Adelphia is a great dining experience. Food and service is always consistent however crab cakes and stuffed shrimp were mainly bread crumb and filler. We've been there several times and always had a great meal with large
portions but time it was a bit disappointing. Nice menu selection.
Went with Entertainment Coupon in mind, but couldn’t order a dinner before 4 PM. I don’t understand why we were given a dinner menu if it wasn’t available.
However, the lunch offerings were a pleasant surprise given that they included soup, salad, beverage and a large main dish. Excellent lunch.
We went here 2 years ago for a Mother's Day brunch that was excellent. We expected something similar for my wife's birthday. The food was average overall. Many items were sitting so long in steam trays that made food soggy.
It is a tragedy to charge children so much for brunch. There was nothing there that to justify that price. We also specifically asked for a high chair as the only request in the reservation, but it was not there.
We were a group of 11, and there was a group of 20 or so next to us. Our server helped that group more than ours. We are not very demanding, but refills would have been appreciated and stacks of dirty plates taken away.
Some of us definitely ate something that upset our stomachs. My wife (celebrant) was one who did not feel well. We definitely have no plans to return for brunch.
Second time I was there, first was a Birthday dinner and dance party, Excellent! Second was Birthday lunch, very good. Only problem was I used the open table but didn't use the account I already had. Now I have two accounts. Will be going to Adelphia for Thanksgiving with family but didn't use the open table I just called Adelphia.
My family and I went to Adelphia to celebrate a birthday. We sat at the large round booth and George was our waiter. Everything was excellent and George was fantastic. We enjoyed the round booth because there were 7 of us and we could all talk to each other comfortably. George was very nice and I would ask to sit in his section again.
Waiter was not necessary for this visit. Did not refill coffee as needed and had to be reminded to bring ordered beverage. Used plates were not removed promptly. Hot dishes were cold, brisket tasted burnt, shrimp tasted over cooked.
Didn't know about the 30th Anniversary celebration when I booked my reservation. Because of the celebration going on, my wait time for my reservation was extremely longer than expected. Other than that, my visit was good.
Showed up at 6:10pm for our 6:30 reservations and was handed a beeper and told to wait... the beeper never did go off. We were not seated untill 7:55pm after hounding the check in booth for over an hour. Once we got a table we sat there again for 20 mins before being waited on next we never got our soup, roll or utensils until we complained to the hostess about the waitress. Then our food showed up and we still couldn't eat it because we didn't have forks and knives. Our drinks were not refilled either. Then when I got home I got this email that stated we never showed up for our reservations???
I can not give a review on the food because when we arrived we found out they were having a promotion and the hostess said we still had to wait in the line that was 20 plus people deep. What was the point of making a reservation? It would of taken us over an hour just to be seated. We left as we did not have all that time, that is why we reserved. I wrote the restaurant three days ago but have no response. Very disappointing in the customer service.
and I lost my open table points .
My review probably would have been better if we hadn't gone on Adelphia's 30th anniversary. The place was jammed. Service was slow as a result. Very noisy. Food was good, nothing special though. Since it was a free meal, I can't really complain.
Very nice experience. From the check in was quick and friendly to leaving at the end of dinner same friendly experience. The food was delicious and the server Sam was outstanding. He was friendly and attentive. Next time we will try to request him if he is working. They have various specials for food and also have events. We'll be back.
My date wanted to go dancing on her birthday and celebrate with a decent bottle of wine. Were it just for a romantic dinner, we would have gone somewhere else. She got one of the dinner specials and it was fantastic. I got Chicken Francese, a standard menu item, and it seemed more like food fit for a banquet versus a fine dining experience. The dance floor was hopping after dinner, so it made for a fun evening; but if you're coming for the food, get one of the specials. There was an eclectic mix of attire at dinner as well...everything from jean shorts and t-shirts to suit & tie and elegant dresses.
We did a 10am Sunday brunch. The food was excellent and the selection was amazing. Drinks were slow coming out, and we had to wait a while for the check because it started getting very busy around 11:00am. We will definitely be back, but may do an earlier time.
We had eaten there several years ago and memory's of good, healthy Italian food. This time we found a menu that was half Italian/half American mix. Our waiter was attentive and quickly took our drink order. The basket of bread was piled high with rolls and a cold pizza bread, I tired it and it tasted all dough like it was under baked with pizza sauce smeared on it. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana.. the veal was tough and tasteless, the accompanying pasta looked lifeless and unappetizing. For a $28 per person bill I would not go back...there are much better restaurants
