Adelphia Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had. Our reservations were for 7PM and we were seated shortly after 7. It went downhill from there. We were sitting there for about 15 min before anyone approached our table and at that it was only to fill our water glasses. It was 7:30 before we were asked if we were ready to order. Which is the first time we were able to order our cocktails. What needs to be said is just to much to write. Bottom line, the bartender didn't know ho to make a dirty martini and this is how we receive our meal. Salad, appetizer, cocktails and then our platters all with in 10 minutes. And Yes the manager was aware because he took our drink orders because the waiter didn't understand what we wanted and he is the person who delivered our platters. Never saw him again. It was an extremely expensive disappointing dining experience.
I made a reservation for 18 people 5:45 on a Sat night. I asked the women on the phone at Adelphia’s if that was sufficient time as we had to leave before 7:30. She said it was more than enough time! It absolutely was NOT!! First they seated half the party & when the other half came in they said they couldn’t seat us until we were all there. Finally the waitress came got the 2nd half us since the other half knew we were there from a text message. Our drinks took forever to come and they didn’t start taking our dinner order until 6:40. We were actually about to walk out when she came. The food was taking forever so one of us got a manager, she was going to have our food boxed so we could leave when it came out at 7:10. While be severed food was spilled on one our coats. They gave her meal & drink for free which was a nice remedy for sure. Needless to say with 18 of us it took a bit to figure out the check and everyone boxed half their meal. Meanwhile another got water pour down her back which we realized was pouring out from the ceiling! After that fiasco we requested free reentry because we were coming back after a movie to dance. They obliged however we all thought it was ridiculous they wouldn’t stamp us in the 1st place. They told us even though we ate dinner in there we couldn’t stay for the DJ without paying. After the movie when we returned it was packed & difficult to get to bar & there was absolutely no where to sit! We also realized the crowd was much older ranging from 60-80’s. And the music was mostly all 50 & 60’s. We were all in our 20-40’s so it wasn’t for us! We left!! I think it is time Adelphia’s get an update as everything is outdated. They also should list on their website a generation of music they plan on playing so we could have made a better choice from the get go! Person answering phone needs to get a clue about their times! On the positive even though food is a little pricey it was delicious, no complaints from anyone on that!
Never cease to surprise me & we just love the "Fire Grilled" Menu & Specials!
This Chicken & Shrimp Special called for Spinach/not a fan, but the Chef gladly replaced it for Broccoli and it was excellent! My Husband can't order anything but the Fire Grilled Crab Cakes because he thinks they're the best, Steak is his norm everywhere else.
Food is ok. If you want the Sun brunch buffet get there well before 1pm because they do not replenish it & everything is literally gone and broken down by 2pm. Not sure what child ages are, but they charged my 10 year-old as an adult!! Didn't notice until I got home, but that is ridiculous & greedy of them when you already have 2 paying adults for the over priced, mediocre Buffett!
Made reservations but still waited 30 minutes. Tried to order specific menu items for that night but they were no longer available and was never told up front.
Service was okay, not great. No real attention to detail. Had the same problem with desert. Was told to go look at the desert case...
New Year’s Eve early dinner 5:45 pm) though we had reservations, we got plunked down not in the main dinning room but a banquet room with large parties of 10+ 6 to 8 tables of large parties and we were a party of two. Was uncomfortable, waiter was not fully knowledgable of the drinks and food menu. Been there many times just was not as good as other years (same night). Hence the lower scoring.
We went to Aldephia for the first time in order to eat first at their restaurant and then go to their Saturday night dance party run by OGL, 98.1 FM. The setting and service were fine, but the food was mediocre and bland, with the exception of the burger ordered by one of our foursome. Draft beer selections were uninspiring. It was basically glorified diner food. The dance floor and party were nice, although the primarily disco-based oldies were not our baby boomer favorites. It would be nice if they expanded their dance party nights to include more classic rock music. I can imagine going back for the dancing, but wouldn't return to the restaurant.
My time at Adelphia was so amazing. The food was phenomenal there were so many options. The appetizers were to die for! The fresh mozzarella was by far my favorite. The bread and butter was delicious. I had so many options to choose for my dinner. I ended up getting the Adelphia burger and wow, it was good. The cheese was great melted all over on top and meat was cooked perfectly the way i like it. Than for desert i had the friend cheescake with cinammon and chocolate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And yes, it sounds as good as it tastes. It was the honest to god BEST desert i have ever had! Thank you Adelphia for such an amazing dinner!(: I am planning on coming back for my birthday and bringing a small group along, I can’t wait!!!
The service was outstanding. With the exception of my salad the food was excellent. My husband is very picky about crab cakes and he said the ones (2) he received were as crab cakes should be. It was Saturday evening (7:15) and the place was pretty noisy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Adelphia is a great dining experience. Food and service is always consistent however crab cakes and stuffed shrimp were mainly bread crumb and filler. We've been there several times and always had a great meal with large
portions but time it was a bit disappointing. Nice menu selection.
Went with Entertainment Coupon in mind, but couldn’t order a dinner before 4 PM. I don’t understand why we were given a dinner menu if it wasn’t available.
However, the lunch offerings were a pleasant surprise given that they included soup, salad, beverage and a large main dish. Excellent lunch.
We went here 2 years ago for a Mother's Day brunch that was excellent. We expected something similar for my wife's birthday. The food was average overall. Many items were sitting so long in steam trays that made food soggy.
It is a tragedy to charge children so much for brunch. There was nothing there that to justify that price. We also specifically asked for a high chair as the only request in the reservation, but it was not there.
We were a group of 11, and there was a group of 20 or so next to us. Our server helped that group more than ours. We are not very demanding, but refills would have been appreciated and stacks of dirty plates taken away.
Some of us definitely ate something that upset our stomachs. My wife (celebrant) was one who did not feel well. We definitely have no plans to return for brunch.
Second time I was there, first was a Birthday dinner and dance party, Excellent! Second was Birthday lunch, very good. Only problem was I used the open table but didn't use the account I already had. Now I have two accounts. Will be going to Adelphia for Thanksgiving with family but didn't use the open table I just called Adelphia.
My family and I went to Adelphia to celebrate a birthday. We sat at the large round booth and George was our waiter. Everything was excellent and George was fantastic. We enjoyed the round booth because there were 7 of us and we could all talk to each other comfortably. George was very nice and I would ask to sit in his section again.
