Adelina's Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Came for the live music tonight. OUTSTANDING!!! The Veal New Yor Strip special was out of this world. The manager Jonathan came by, and I let him know how much I loved the special. He said that the Sous Chef John was the mastermind behind it. I do hope it makes it on the regular menu.
We have eaten here several times and have been very impressed with the food and the service. We love to sit at the bar and chat with the friendly patrons and the fabulous bartenders. We recently sat at a table with our visiting relatives and they were also impressed with the food and the service. A good place for a good time for all!
I found Adalina‘s on OpenTable as a restaurant that had no corkage fees with purchase of entrées on Wednesdays so my boyfriend I thought we would give it a try. We were amazingly impressed with how beautiful the restaurant was, how attentive the busboys and waiters were, and that the manager and chef went by individual tables to check on everyone. The food was amazing and I definitely look forward to going back again.
We went for Tuesday Date night and were thinking of their very tender and juicy Rib-eye but Jared told us about their Price Fix special-----Filet Mignon with crab and bearnaise sauce including 2 glasses of wine, sides and dessert for $25 a piece.
We had dinner before a concert in another part of the Monarch Club. Jarred, our server, was great. He gave us good information on the menu and served our food in a timely manner so we had plenty of time to get to the concert. Another good experience at Adelina's.
Who knew Adelina's had brunch? Not many people, obviously as there were less than 10 of us there. Great, spicy, Bloody Mary's, omelettes with fresh veggies and imported cheeses, linguisa and applewood smoked bacon, Benedicts, flapjacks and more. Very affordable and atmosphere was relaxed and casual. I think we might have a new tradition!
Seating was good and on time.
The food server didn’t explain the special very well.
The food presentation was bad and the fish was of poor quality
We ordered another selection on the menu and instead they cooked s different type of fish and placed it back on the same plate with the sides that belonged to the special instead of the sides to that selected order.
The fish was over cooked and the potatoes soggy.
The pizza we ordered was soft and soggy as well.
We were very dissatisfied.
We talked spoke to another server and thus person said Friday nights Ag 7:00 pm is not a good time to eat there because it’s too busy .
Tonight's Asian Style Day Boat Scallop Special was phenomenal. Bok Choy, mushrooms, and some amazing crispy potato straws in a delicate broth. Definitely would love to see this on the menu
Also there was a special I am dessert tonight also, a Mneyer lemon cheesecake in a jar with a Graham cracker crust. It was to die for. The new Sous Chef is definitely a great addition to the team.
Classy atmosphere, excellent food, music on Wednesdays, spacious seating. Best whisky and mezcal selection on the Central Coast. Excellent tequila selections. Choose your wine from the wine list or buy it in the adjacent marketplace for a wider selection. Great sunset views over the Monarch Dunes golf course.
We had our daughter and family visiting for Labor Day weekend so we thought Sunday brunch would be great. Very disappointing! 3 of us had eggs Benedict and our son in law had an omelet. I ate only half my entree, English muffin was dry and sauce was tasteless. Only good part of the meal was the coffee. And very overpriced-sorry, no recommendation from the Pritchard family 😟
We had a reservation and showed up about 20 minutes early. The group ahead of us did not have a reservation and they were seated in a booth. When the greeter came back after seating them and learned they we had a reservation he said (under his breath) o'sh*t. We were supposed to have the booth. Never-the-less we had a fine table and enjoyed the evening.
We were celebrating my fiancee's birthday and everything was good as usual until I just mentioned to the waiter that my ahi tuna which I ordered "rare" was slightly over-cooked. Then he got defensive and tried to argue with me about the rareness of the ahi. His whole attitude changed and he was just barely polite for the rest of the meal. I also stated in the "any special request" section of online reservation it was my fiancee's 75 birthday and told the waiter, but it went unrecognized. We will go back, but ask for a different waiter next time.
I keep coming back thinking the poor service is just a fluke- but it continues. It starts on arrival- even with reservations guests are left standing at the check in for more than 5 minutes waiting for the hostess or someone else to greet you. The. We wait for another 10 minutes or more to get a drink- then the drinks take for ever to get made. At our last visit we had the fresh fish and it tasted mediocre- more like frozen fish- no seasoning and over cooked. Don't think we will be back- haven't got the feeling that they are interested in improving. No one even asked how how dinner was.its too sad- because we have so few options in Nipomo.
