Addison Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Well, it's not the restaurant most could afford to frequent but if you want a special treat, it's so worth it. The service is impeccable. It is quite formal and dinner will take around three hours to complete but if you appreciate food, dining at this restaurant is a must when in San Diego.
Nice environment, best creative foods we have ever had, super quality and presentation. Best service we have ever experienced.
Even the foods served before the dinner and/or between the courses, "free courses", were wonderfully tasted and presented.
Everything a world class dining experience should be. This is the best of the best if San Diego. Everyone there is totally committed to you having an incredible dining experience. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for!
There are very few places you can say are truly unique experiences and worth the money. Addison’s is one of those places. Have the Chef’s tasting menu and sit back and be amazed Each dish combined Wonderful flavors, colors and textures that delight one senses. Service was superb, not. Intrusive but efficient and friendly. Attentive from a distance they seemed to know the exact moment to clear plates and bring the next dish. Wine recommendations were spot on and wonderfully accompanied the meal.
Not your everyday meal but well worth the money. Already looking forward to the next excuse to go!
The chef choice menu is overprice and underachieve. We had the regular menu last time and I must say better than the chef choice but less pricey. Services is very good but again you 're paying $700-$800 per couple which should be exceptional but the restaurant does not meet that.
The service at Addison, as to be expected, is superb. No other restaurant in San Diego comes close to Addison. The food is also as expected great. The only disappointment is that I would hope they add more variation to their menu choices. This is the fifth visit for us, but, I would visit more if they can become more adventurous with frequent variations.
This place is magical. The service was impeccable; but not stuffy. The food was simply
the best ever and that includes that fancy but stuffy place in Paris. I would recommend Addison as the most special ever and well worth the money even though it may be possible to go only once a year!
If your into fine dining this is then place, everyone is talking about Michele star ratings for this place, now I understand why they haven’t got theres. I have been in great restaurant in Europe that serves 4 to 7 course meal with wine pairing almost the same quality for under 100 euros
The menu and pricing were not explained thoroughly and we were charged for an incomplete meal. I hate going to restaurants that are about the chef's ego and caprice...how many times does a diner have to hear that he was self taught? 3 times...I don't think this is something I would advertise given the dining experience. The food was great - not life changing. For the price I would expect life changing. Having dined at the early Spago, to Stars, to Le Meruice, to Charlie Trotter's, to Galatoire's (you get the picture)...there is a reason why this restaurant is rated so well in San Diego but not really elsewhere. It is so sad that San Diego has such wonderful theater but the dining scene still leaves something to be desired. The service was precise but lacked warmth and humor which was echoed in the food as well.
The food with the chef's surprise tasting menu was superb. Every plate was delicious, and by the end of the evening we were quite full and satisfied. I think we had something like 12 courses including several savory entrée samples. This did not come at a low price, of course, but this was a very special first anniversary dinner for us at the property where we were married. The service was impeccable and they really made a great effort to ensure that we have a special evening. They took the time to understand if we had any dietary concerns or restrictions and to plan a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter, Stephan, was very friendly and engaging. My wife and I would love to come back to Addison and the Grand Del Mar every year for our anniversary.
Addisons is a very special restaurant for a dining experience. The food, the service and the ambience are all 5 star it really should be a Michelin rated restaurant. Our friends were visiting from Scottsdale and they never experienced a restaurant of this caliber other than ones in England or France. This was our third time dining here it the 10 course wine pairing menu never disappoints.
Absolutely peerless in San Diego dinning. The service was second to none and a cut above extraordinary, the food was even better. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but I will take a page from the Chef's book and let the simplicity and elegance of the ingredients speak for themselves. Thank you for a special anniversary meal that we will long remember.
