Located in the Elston Industrial District--not quite Bucktown, not quite Lincoln Park--Ada Street offers dinner and late night service six days a week.
always delicious! this time, after an early sunday show at the hideout, we got a favorite corner perch at the far end of the bar, had a few yummy snacks (gnocchi and meatballs) and a couple of glasses of wine... perfect way to eek out the last bit of a weekend. here's hoping the new development coming in doesn't destroy this perfect pairing.
A hidden gem in Chicago, one of my favorite places for any occasion.
We brought my cousin and her boyfriend who had never been to Ada before. Cameron was prompt, nice, and funny. We love Ada and will always be back!
found ada’s house while searching Yelp for a great place to have dinner in Chicago. it did not disappoint. the food and drinks were excellent!
Amazing food. The shishitos were delicious and the bourbon glazed ribeye was great. Elote dip, we could have had two orders! Loved the wine list and the Lambrusco especially. Service was excellent. Only issue was it was a hot night and no air inside. Really sticky. Everything else was marvelous.
We had heard good things about Ada Street (and our daughter is named Ada) so we decided to try it out for our anniversary. We were a little hesitant when our Uber driver dropped us off and we walked inside but were pleasantly surprised once we made our way in. The beautiful patio was open, the restaurant was empty when we arrived but quickly filled up, the service was fantastic, and, best of all, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious! Thanks for a great anniversary celebration, Ada Street!
Great server, yummy food. Fried green tomatoes=yum!
Very interesting restaurant on the edge of Lincoln Yards. We enjoyed the food and service.
Ada Street was a bit difficult to find but worth the effort.
plates came out a little too rushed so we had everything at once and it should have been better coursed out.
Fantastic in every category. Incredibly cool ambiance, killer drinks, and the food speaks for itself. Get the tar tar. Love that this is in Chicago! !!
The food and ambiance at Ada Street were fantastic, however this particular night it appears as if the air conditioning was broken. it was one of Chicago's recent 95+ degree days, and it was sweltering inside the restaurant. no mention was made of why is was so uncomfortable inside the restaurant which was unfortunate. we would have stayed longer were it not for how oppressively hot it was in there.
Love how interesting the menu is! Love portions encouraged to share!
Date night was a success. First time here and it was stellar.
Michael destroyed the cocktails.
Can’t wait to return.
Love the patio! So unique and lovely. The food and service have always been consistent and great every time we’ve gone over the years.
Perfect night! Great suggestions from fun waitstaff! We all loved it! Thanks!
Birthday dinner. Service was great and we enjoyed our dishes and drinks.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I could have ordered a second plate of just about everything (and did for some of the dishes!).
The experience and ambiance of Ada Street is fantastic. However, service was very slow and it took a while for the server to take our orders. Will likely grab a table next time rather than sitting at the bar.
We went for our anniversary. Great small plate options, good drinks, and a very nice bar manager who gave us great service. Would definitely go again. Also, for people coming from the burbs, the parking is easy peasy.
My husband and I had been to Ada Street several times before, but it had been about a year since we last tried it and were wondering whether we'd like it as much as in the past. We were as impressed as ever - and probably even more so - by the food, service, everything. We sat at the bar, and our bartender (I think his name was Jesse), couldn't have been friendlier, and he recommended drinks that suited our tastes perfectly. Everything we ordered (tuna tartar, buratta, little gem salad, scallops, pasta) were really awesome, and we are pretty particular about good food. Also, the ambiance is really nice and dim with terrific tunes playing. I can't wait to go back.
I have just moved to Chicago from New York, and I have to say one of my greatest challenges so far has been finding restaurants that match the culinary experience I've grown accustomed to. Ada Street exceeded both my, and my fiancé's expectations.
The ambiance itself is trendy, yet warm and romantic. The service is top notch (holler to the bartender who made stellar recommendations, was an entertaining and genuine dude, and who hooked us up with a free pretzel bread pudding because our food was a little late). The food itself is incredible. I would rate the pasta (the market pasta of the day we had the privilege to enjoy was a house-made tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce) and the meatballs as some of the best we've had in the city --and that outranks nearly all the Italian restaurants we've visited to dates. The flavor of the pasta was like no-other, and although a significant portion, it still didn't feel overly heavy. The meatballs melt in your mouth, and the sauce (accompanied with some jalepenios for a bit of a kick) was so delicious that my fiancé literally licked the bowl (--sorry for the social faux pas!).
We also enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the steak tartare. The fried green tomatoes were well balanced with fresh corn, tomatoes and cheese scattered on top, and the tomatoes themselves were perfectly crispy and not overly fried. The tartare is by far the best I've had in the city.
I don't understand how such a well executed restaurant could have open availability on a Friday night (but we're not complaining!). Great for a date night or for a night out with friends.
Top notch all around. We will definitely be back (frequently ;)).
Neat space friendly service. Particularly good food. Foodies will like
Delicious food and drinks. The ambiance is perfect for a social date, dinner or just grabbing drinks. Definitely going to make this a regular spot!
It is off the beaten path, but the restaurant continues to excel in its creative cuisine and beverages. With a smaller menu, more attention can be given to each dish, and it's a terrific menu top to bottom. Our group enjoyed the creative cocktails and broad wine list. It is relatively hard to find, but persistence pays off.
Always brilliant food and service. Ada Street is a rare place to go where you can put all your trust into the knowledge of the server and be rewarded with a stellar experience!
Great atmosphere - loved choosing albums to play, delicious food and reasonable prices. Took friends here for the first time and we'll all be back very soon.
The food and ambience was outstanding. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon to try more dishes.
The homemade pasta was AMAZING. There's also a private room in front that would be great for a small dinner party.
What a great time!! My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Ada Street. We love the drinks, the food and the ambiance! Service was on point! Autumn took care of us and was not ruffled when friends joined us for drinks unexpectedly. She made great suggestions for our meal and served me a glass of Champagne with a candle on the base of the glass for dessert when we decided not to have any. Super cute! We loved everything about our experience! We will be back!
We ordered the chicken wings, the little gem salad, the mashed potatoes, the homemade pasta and the steak. And everything was delicious!!
The food and service were amazing! Now one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional meal, great hospitality, and a good time! I will definitely be back.
Food was fabulous but our server was overwhelmed or inadequate. Which was too bad as any foodie will tell you service is second only to the food. Also mentioned it was my wife’s birthday when making reservation and no one asked or did a thing. Hopefully they get that figured out sooner than later.
Love everything about Ada Street. Have been there many times. Only point of note is that their cocktails and wine pours are on the small side. Would like to see those a bit more generous for the price. Otherwise, the place is great!
Had a few dishes that were really lovely, but the standouts were the little gem salad (the pistachio dressing is so thick and creamy, it makes you want to eat this salad for every meal) and the gnocchi (perfectly fluffy, and well-balanced with the roasted vegetables & ricotta/sweet honey combo.)
Ambiance was really nice, though it wouldn't hurt to have a touch more lighting in the entry so I don't bash into all the walls again.
Best cocktail I’ve ever had
Great place! Great food! The flavor combos, plating, and quality were outstanding!
It did take a bit longer than expected for the drinks at times considering, they didn't seem THAT busy, but otherwise, it was a great place, and will definitely be back!
Loved it! Small plates were delicious. Cool place.
Love it there, except the portions for what you pay aren’t great. I always feel like my bill is huge for a small amount of food. Music, lighting, service all on point!
Beautiful ambiance - closely placed tables don't give a lot of privacy, though. Food and cocktails were delicious! Very much recommended!
Great, out-of-the-way spot! The front entrance is a bit hard to find, but once you find it and enter -- Wow! The interior is lovely and it opens up to an outdoor patio, complete with lights and comfortable tables and chairs. We had Easter brunch here and the menu was unusual and delicious! I am anxious to go back for dinner and to sit out on the patio for a drink.
Went here for Easter Brunch with wife and son. Ordered 3 coffees, no cream available and no spoons provided to stir. I ordered Sausage and Biscuits. Sausage was overcooked and dry, no butter available for biscuits, no salt or pepper . Son ordered waffles, no syrup offered. At this price point, they need to get the basics if Brunch together.
