What a wonderful start to our evening. We had no waiting for our table as we had a reservation. We had a friendly greeting and great service throughout the dinner. Our meal was wonderful! We lucked out with a great menu of ribeye, brussel sprouts and roasted fingerling potatoes. We had the add on of shrimp, sausage and grits which was delicious. The salad, cheese board and homemade ice cream filled out the meal to perfection.
Went for Sunday brunch. 2 drinks and 2 adds to the menu cost 160 before tip.
Salad delicious and good serving for 2 but noticed instead of 3 salads for 6 guests at next table the received only 2 of the same sized salad there is no need given the price to short change large groups.
Toast only comes with the eggs order and it's a single slice of a baguette per person. Waiter did not check on food or guests leaving no opportunity to get extra toast or butter. Only showed up after we finished eating and had waited for a further seven minutes.
Banana bread was dry. Thomas Keller mailed that in. Had high expectations for dessert and was disappointed. Cake was note baked that day for sure. Chantilly cream dollop added moisture but I needed a half glass of water to get the cake down
Waiter arrived after husband ate his and waited 7 more minutes. He asked if it was okay and I said its super dry. He offered if I wanted to try something else but I had lost hope that he would show up I gave up.
Tea or coffee was extra
I'm on the fence on whether I would attempt the dinner menu.
Food was fantastic but service was indifferent
Food was fabulous! Excellent service, wait time was Zero!
In Ad Hoc I understood the meaning of Confort Food.
It remembered me home.
Some of the greatest food I've ever had, I can't believe a chef can be so flawless
Very fun prix fixe restaurant. Great food, prepared with care and imagination. The night we ate there the main course was chicken. Although that does not sound exciting, it was by far the best chicken I have ever had. Amazing.
Most delicious rice ever!
Red Velvet cupcakes left much to be desired...
definitely not a favorite!
Extraordinary meal...I would eat here every day if I could. I'll just note that the room is VERY loud, so that's the tiniest drawback.
Incredible flavor and presentation. Honestly never tasted food so delicious. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and they presented us with a souvenir menu complete with a happy, happy, happy anniversary stamp. Thomas Keller is a genius, and the Ad Hoc team was amazing.
Loooove! And best brunch!
Excellent food and service. The four course meal was balanced and each course complimented the other courses.
We had to wait 20 minutes for a table despite have on OT reservation. Server was great at first pass but person who brought each course was less articulate or enthusiastic. Food was great. Nice ambiance. Would return with lower expectations of service.
Food was good, however going in with high expectations, it did not quite meet them. Bar staff was off putting. Waiter was good. For the money, better options in Napa Valley.
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here. We love Addendum and have made at least a dozen visits to Bouchon Bistro and Bouchon Bakery over the years (CA and Vegas). We were somewhat underwhelmed by our experience at Ad Hoc. The food, while perfectly prepared and consisting of fresh & locally sourced ingredients, was quite plainly bland and boring. On the night in question, we had the spinach salad and roasted pork loin. The menu changes daily so I'm sure another visit would yield a different experience. However, with so many fantastic dining options in Napa, I'm not sure we would try our luck again. On a positive note, the service (hostess, waitstaff, bussers) was first rate.
Delicious food! Ad hoc is a difficult place to recommend since there is a singular menu. I am an adventurous eater so I was open to anything. I went here with my mom and she isn’t as adventurous... veal was our main entree and she wasn’t excited for it. She was pleasantly surprised (and I thought it tasted great). The rest of the menu was impeccable and I did the wine pairing (great value and taste with the menu). I would revisit this restaurant.
Perfect meal - filet was cooked perfectly! Definitely worth it!
Finally got the fried chicken. Crispiest I've ever had. They always deliver on the side dishes, too (pepper mac 'n' cheese and sauteed cauliflower this night). Got a little too eager and ordered the additional option this night - brisket with sausage, cole slaw, and cornbread. Tasty, but really stretched the ol' tummy. Didn't have too much room for the onion jam/bread/cheese plate, and cupcake dessert. Pretty crowded on a Monday night.
Outstanding on all levels - food did not disappoint - yum!
Much less noise for outside tables
We live in Yountville and this is our favorite restaurant recommend this restaurant to a lot of people
Wonderful!! The food was out of this world and the service could not have been better!
I was so happy to have a warm basket of gluten free bread to start the meal. I reflexively tried to waive it off as I'm used to having no bread. Everything was delicious. I was sad that the dessert menu didn't have more GF options but the sundae was also delicious.
AdHoc did not disappoint!! It is a wonderful place to eat while visiting the wine country!! We loved it - AGAIN!! Inside was a bit noisy but no worries for us there was an outside table available and the weather was perfect!! WHAT a way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!
I've been here a few times but this particular time was a bit of a different experience. I came with two friends, one of which was celebrating a birthday. The service started off ok, but towards the middle of our lunch, there was a party that seemed to be frequent diners who were seated next to us. A lot of the staff came by to say hello to them and sadly after that it was like our table didn't exist. We couldn't flag anyone down, the servers who were right next to us serving the other table pretty much ignored us. We didn't mind since our table was pretty low-key, but when we finally wanted to leave, we flagged down the server to grab the bill and to be honest she was just rude. I thought it was just me but my friends also agreed. We probably waited 10 minutes before we were noticed again to have them run our credit card, and because we had to get their attention away from the other table, the server yanked the card out of my hand and honestly looked upset that I bothered her.
The other times I have been here have been amazing experiences, but this time our table honestly felt like second class citizens and it was not a great experience for a birthday celebration.
Amazing. A must go!!
Everything from the California weather to the impeccable service in a laid back casual environment to the ridiculously good food on the prix-fixe menu was amazing. There was not one thing that disappointed. Will be recommending to all of our friends and family who make a visit to that area.
We enjoyed our brunch, I didn’t feel that it was anything special, however we ordered the caviar and that elevated the experience.
There were four of us celebrating a Birthday. While two of us selected the Special of the evening, Pork Belly the other two in our party were given alternative options of steak, seafood or vegetarian. Rib Eye steak and Halibut were selected. From the Salad to the Dessert everything was delicious. The Service was spot on. Net time we visit Napa and Yountville Ad Hoc will be on our list.
Food was very heavy and fatty. Would have been better balanced with lighter pairings of sides
Simple. Delicious. Fantastic. A must go for any Napa trip. Each night is a fixed menu with rotating selections that include a salad, main course, side dishes & desserts. Our dinner last night: Squash salad, caviar, pork belly, seared scallops & the best redhawk cow girl creamery cheese with toasted cranberry bread & honey. OMGEEE!! 🤤
Awesome food. Love family style. Great beverages and cocktails. Service was imprecible. Excellent. And I am picky!
Superior in every way.
Excellent as always!
Another amazing meal at this wonderful casual establishment of wine country. Can’t wait to come back and eat here again! (This is coming from a picky eater that thoroughly enjoyed this fixed menu).
Very weird experience. Food was great as usual but the music was so loud we almost had to leave but our waiter was able to get it turned off.
Service started fine but then a party of 10 showed up and our waiter went AWOL.he did nothing but take care of them and their two Magnums of wine. The other tables around us were suffering too.
We knew something was wrong at Ad Hoc this night when we had to wait 15 minutes for our table with reservations. They were obviously having issues. We didn’t see a manager and it was very disappointing since it is usually a solid place for service. I hope it’s not a trend.
Ad Hoc continues to be outstanding. Food and service are tremendous!
The warm potato salad and BBQ brisket was amazing!
Most amazing meal ever!
