The food was delicious, the service the wonderful and the Old Fashions the best we’ve ever had.
Excellent meal as is the track record for Acre Celebrated anniversary Lots of fun
Very loud. When I made the reservation online I specifically requested a quiet area as I am hearing impaired. Background noise causes me to near nothing but noise so I had to read lips. Since this was our first visit I was not sure there was better seating.
Everything was superb! Still dreaming about the apple turnover🥰
We took an out of town guest to Acre to show off our beautiful village. The atmosphere and food never disappoints. Our wait staff was delightful, as usual. The steak was absolutely perfect.
My wife and I, were extremely impressed with your Wait Staff. He was very Welcoming, and Knowledgeable , the Snapper & Filet Mignon entree's were to die for, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the combination, made our Anniversary dinner memorably unforgettable. Thank you
Everything was good. My wife’s snapper was phenomenal.
The drinks were perfect. The food was amazing. Best (ribeye) meatloaf ever, with mashed potatoes and greenbeans. My wife said the salmon on her salad was perfectly cooked.
Favorite restaurant! Always amazing
I have been to Acre before and I will go again. The food is delicious and the service is great. If you are in the Auburn area and want a great place to eat, you don't have to look any further. We drove over from Montgomery to celebrate a friend's 81st birthday. When you eat there, you will understand why I drive from Montgomery to this restaurant for a special event or just for an excellent meal.
We ate outside for lunch - beautiful setting and the food was delicious. Had a salad with salmon and I could eat that every single day!
We drove from Birmingham to have lunch there and enjoy Auburn on Mother's Day.
The food was delicious, as expected. Morgan, our server was very attentive and very engaging.
We will definitely be back.
The food and service were impeccable as usual at ACRE! Such a lovely restaurant and a great experience for our family on Mother’s Day.
Delicious food in a beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to a return trip.
Fantastic dinner and evening with friends at Acre! David Bancroft does an amazing job with the restaurant and have never been disappointed. The food was wonderful all around. The absolutely ONLY negative I can add, is that it is a little dark in the eating areas and had to use light from a cell phone to read both the menu and ticket at the end of the night. But that is pretty minor for such a great meal. If you are looking for good food in Auburn, Acre is one of the few and maybe the best place to find it. Highly recommended!!
This is my absolute favorite place to have dinner on date night. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service is impeccable.
Service was very close to perfect! She made our night perfect!
I have never had a bad experience at Acre. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Auburn!
Our server Sydney was outstanding. The food was delicious and the dessert board was sooo good. Acre is one of our favorite restaurants
A true gem...fantastic experience and remarkable food!
Everything is just okay at Acre. The food is decent, but overpriced and “trying too hard.”
The service is fine, not great.
The lunch menu is better than the dinner menu, but whatever.
In Auburn, there are far better places to visit for a $100 date night dinner.
Food was exceptional and service was above average. It's a bustling place so fairly loud for a Wednesday night. Will definitely go back!
I don't normally give reviews but this is definitely a "go to" place if you're in Auburn. A little pricy but worth it. Highly recommend!!
We enjoyed it all. I brought a longtime employee and dear friend to treat them to a service and hospitality that I have been honored to have the pleasure many times at Acre. I adore each time that I am made to feel apart of Acre’s team. With that, we ordered a couple beers when we first arrived at our table (to the waitress’ advantage, we stumbled to know what we wanted at the beginning). We ordered an Orpheus TMOS and the Citrus IPA from Westbrook. Normall, my routine is to order beer, then sharing, then starter, then have the main and a bottle of red brought with it.
Having said, there were several moments during the night, some courses were taking longer than the Acre I am accustomed to. Which I didn’t mind at all. A suggestion, with care, when we hadn’t received our beers, or starter, the waitress would notice our table still empty of our request of choice. There was either a question asked “How are we doing over here?” Or “can I get y’all anything else.”
If the guests eyes are wondering, it is appropriate to approach the table and then present comfort and truth with a statement of intent such as “let me check on those beers for you guys” or “your quail should be right out.” Giving us assurance we are noticed.
Wonderful meal, great service and exceptional taste. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Excellent farm to table options. Great service and atmosphere! Best food in Auburn AL!
The food and service was/is phenomenal. Acre is a hidden gem in Auburn.
Had brunch with my mother and her sister and the steak and eggs was delicious! Had the peanut butter pie for dessert and it is the best dessert I have ever eaten. I have never written a review for a restaurant before and it is unlikely I will ever do so again but this experience merited it.
Good experience! Will dine there again! Acre was great
Excellent food and environment. I ordered a local John Emerald whiskey and our waitress informed it was not available and even went to double check with the bar. I would like to see local spirits always stocked, especially since it is a personal favorite right now. But overall our party was impressed with the shared charcuterie board, savory entrees and delicious desserts and French press coffee.
My wife and I chose a loaf of barley bread with honey garlic butter as our appetizer. It was very good and the honey garlic butter was good, I believe it was roasted garlic incorporated into the mix. Personally I think it could have used more garlic, but it was still very good.
We did not drink alcoholic beverages, but the beer and mixed drink list were extensive. We chose instead to have sweet tea to drink which was good.
We both chose the beef fillet (tenderloin) with a coffee rub cooked medium-rare, served with oyster mushroom gravy over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. The steak size was not mentioned on the menu so I asked our server named Grissom. He answered tentatively that they were 8oz. About 5 crisp/tender green beans were also served with the dish. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, extremely tender and very flavorful. I'd say they were at LEAST 8oz. fillets. For those who are wondering, the coffee rub has no hint of coffee flavor but rather a smoky-salty delicious flavor! The garlic mashed potatoes were whipped smoothly with no chunks of potato (just the way I like them) and had just the right amount of garlic. They were excellent, but I have to say the serving size could have been a bit larger. The mushroom gravy was excellent. The green beans were...well, green beans. A bit too crisp for me, but tasted good.
The shining star of the mean was the dessert called "butter me up". It consisted of a butter cake with 4 or 5 layers adhered together with a cream cheese frosting. It was served with a dab of perfectly soft caramel and strudel crumbs on the plate. It was FABULOUS. My wife loves cakes of all sorts and considers herself a connoisseur. She stated that it was the best cake she ever had! It was awesome! We shared one piece and after finishing wished we had each had our own serving.
The service was excellent, the food was excellent. The bill was expensive, $106 and some change with a $20 tip. It's good to splurge every year or so!
Our group stayed several hours after lunch just visiting. We did not feel rushed at all. Our reservations were at 12:45.
What a treat Acre is! We were on a college visit to Auburn with our daughter and friends recommended Acre to us. The ambience is lovely....part farm table, part hunting lodge feel. The service was impeccable. Our server made great recommendations. Do not miss the fried green tomato appetizer. For entrees I highly recommend the Wiener schnitzel. It’s been 4 days since we ate there and I am still craving the flavors of that dish. They literally exploded in my mouth. Just fabulous all the way around!
Good food, although portions were tiny. friendly service. Very nice wine selection.
Food was great! Ambience was perfect for a casual anniversary dinner. Menu is pretty pricey but I was happy with our food.
Only downside was where we were sat was extremely loud. We will return though!
Came in for Easter Brunch. Very little food was left and what remained was dried out and crusty. We politely asked if more food would be coming out and they claimed to have run out of things early. My hope was that they would offer to make more for us, but not a chance. Not sure how a restaurant that will be opened for dinner is “out of food.” We were still charged $35 per person and saw our “waiter” once the entire time. He was very impersonal and blunt although we still tipped him 15%. Very disappointing and we will not be back.
Very good food, dessert selection could have been broader.
Great experience! War Eagle!
