Back when Tim was co-owner of Acre, we had many enjoyable meals there, with great food. This time, a number of dishes we'd had before seemed bland, atho we still liked the fried cheese curds. My mother (93 years old) enjoyed her salad, not her soup. My husband and I had porkburgers, which we used to love. This time, they seemed bland, even with all the additional items that were piled on. My 25 year old son didn't eat much of his sausage biscuit burger. Said the biscuit was really a roll, and the sausage nothing special. He did like the lobster bisque, which my mother found too salty. The mac and cheese small plate was a good size...but not much flavor. Needed stronger cheese or something!
The server must have noticed we hardly ate certain dishes, but didn't ask about them. Did refill our coffees frequently.
