Next to the last night of the restaurant closing. I rarely write negative reviews but need to get this one off my chest afters years of dining there. Appetizers came 40-minutes late, meals followed two-minutes after, the fish fry that reeked of burnt oil was near charred, trout overly done, bacon undercooked on one of the sandwiches... about the only thing the cooks got right was the grilled cheese. Tonight, one star for food; it really was that underwhelming. Did the head chef quit too? Disappointed that this is how the crew wanted to go out and remembered in Andersonville. Well, goodbye. We won't miss you that much. You got our money, yes, though don't make your exit without this poor review. Most importantly, we'll remember the next restaurant you try to open and how unprofessionally lackluster your team was in the end. You should have closed two weeks ago instead of fizzling out and taking your loyal customers down with you. We do wish our waiter good luck though! You deserve better!
Food was HORRIBLE. When we complained to the server he said the place was closing in a week. Save your money for somewhere else.
Not impressed. Service was sparse. Menu for brunch, not enticing. Kitchen over cooked 3 out of 4 meals. We won't be back.
Absolutely delicious! Phenomenal service! Will definitely be going back
Love this place. Service was fantastic as always!
My friend and I both ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and was delicious! The French fries could have been much better; there was a variety of "doneness" to them which wasn't very appealing. Some were cooked well, but most of them were very overcooked. Also, the amount of fries that one receives is way too much; half of the portion served would have been plenty. Otherwise, we enjoyed our meal and time at the restaurant.
Have been many times. reliable food.
Back when Tim was co-owner of Acre, we had many enjoyable meals there, with great food. This time, a number of dishes we'd had before seemed bland, atho we still liked the fried cheese curds. My mother (93 years old) enjoyed her salad, not her soup. My husband and I had porkburgers, which we used to love. This time, they seemed bland, even with all the additional items that were piled on. My 25 year old son didn't eat much of his sausage biscuit burger. Said the biscuit was really a roll, and the sausage nothing special. He did like the lobster bisque, which my mother found too salty. The mac and cheese small plate was a good size...but not much flavor. Needed stronger cheese or something!
The server must have noticed we hardly ate certain dishes, but didn't ask about them. Did refill our coffees frequently.
Beef stroganoff was excellent.
Great place. Eclectic. Had a reservation for 10 people. No issues.
