Acqua at Peck Slip Ratings and Reviews
Good restaurant, nothing special. Valentine’s Day menu was average mostly because of dessert: lamb chops were more boiled than grilled, dessert was awful - the cheapest possible version for the fixed price menu. The carpaccio, staffed rag plants and risotto were very good. Waiters were excellent!!
Good menu for lunch. Maybe a bit too much food. The cheese & meat platter was good and the pollo was great. The last time I ate there the cheese & meat was different (& better), so I would like to see a consistency there. BUT, Livia the server was amazing with a great personality. I watched her deal with a difficult table with grace. She had another table that was over the top and catered to them perfectly. She knows how to read her tables!
1st time in NYC and our hotel staff recommended it for great Italian food. We were not disappointed: fantastic food, attentive staff and historic atmosphere! Would go back in a heartbeat. If we lived here, this would be our neighborhood spot. Don't forget the cannolis!
We had an excellent meal at Acqua. The location was wonderful in a very quiet section of the Lower East side near the Brooklyn Bridge which mad for some great pictures. We enjoyed the food very much and the owner/chef Guiseppe came out and visited with us and that was delightful. Our service was excellent they were very acommodating to all of our needs. Good wine list. I give them five stars!! Loved the ambience of the place.
We come to this restaurant all the time and I'm running out of words to praise. The food is so good since new chef took over and has never disapinted every time we dine. The chef is always creating different dishes so specials are highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Just love this place!!
We have been coming to Acqua at Peck Slip for years to celebrate family birthdays. The neighborhood is great, with ample on-street parking, and a parking lot right across the street for convenience for out-of-town guests. The ambience is beautiful; warm and inviting, and the wait staff is friendly and accommodating. I've never had a hard time getting a table; it's pleasantly full, but not something you need to reserve a month in advance. And the pasta is amazing. All in all, one of my favorites in the city.
Delicious food and even better wine list! I came with a small group for my birthday and each of us were thoroughly satisfied with our meal choices- from the truffle pizza to the lasagna, there was something for everyone. Our server was particularly attentive and had great wine recommendations for us as well.
To say that we love Acqua is an understatement. Chef Giuseppe Marrone is the ultimate host, Chef and owner. The fresh, homemade pastas and pizzas are TO DIE FOR and the limoncello that follows our meal is the perfect ending. Thank you to all at a Acqua for making our anniversary spectacular. We will be back!
Generous portions. One of the best salads I've eaten in years. The tomatoes were delicious; every ingredient was fresh and crisp. We both had spaghetti vongele with a ton of clams in the shell. More clams than I've ever been served at twice the price. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The restaurant is bright and welcoming.
I always come to Acqua! I love this restaurant. It’s our neighborhood go to. The staff are amazing and treat you like family it’s wonderful! They’ll also give you free limoncello shots sometimes with dessert. All the food there is fabulous. They have classics with a modern twist. The wine is good too! Love the Paisans!
