You know Denver is getting crazy when the new hot restaurant is in a 19th century brick factory on Brighton Boulevard.
We sat by the cooks & got to watch how things were prepared. It was a lot of fun. We shared a bunch of dishes & all were delicious.
Always a great experience! Haven't had a disappointing meal yet!
Acorn was fantastic! We went for my parents anniversary after they read about it in Boston. Highly recommend!
Loved this place! We had an excellent server who was very informed and informative about gluten free options and what could be made gluten free with just a little tweaking! Great experience!!
Great food! Everything was delicious. Just wish they had gf bread for a bit more options.
It says something wonderful about your restaurant when the vegetarian dishes are as exceptionally tasty as the meat dishes.
We went here for our anniversary, I had heard about Acorn but had never tried it. We loved it, we had several of the small plates and the combination of flavors was amazing. My husband is a vegetarian and there were many dishes he could have. Nice cocktails and very good service. Loved that you could have flat or sparkling water. I would highly recommend.
Birthday Dinner
Great time at Acorn, my second time there! We were celebrating my wedding, and the staff was all so welcoming and kind. Started the night with a champagne toast and ended with homemade chocolate-dipped marshmallows to celebrate. Great food and cocktails to boot!
I enjoyed my food, as did my friend. But the music was so loud, it made conversation very difficult. We left positive about Acorn's kitchen and service, but less convinced by the limited lunch menu and the noise level.
Food was absolutely on point, flavors worked very well together.
We had an awesome experience. Everything tasted wonderful and the staff was attentive and helpful.
Great meal and overall experience!
A great place for shared bites with some cocktails that can pack a serious punch. Two people probably need 3-4 plates depending on hunger. Everything we split had great flavor but one item felt a bit undersized and seasoned.
Acorn is a go to for me when it comes to business lunches. It's not too far from my place of business. What I love about it the most is the industrial modern vibe with creative foodie dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. This is definitely a progressive restaurant that appeals to the millennial generation but for the generation that came before them, it's also super cool! That would be my generation and I eat here all the time.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Acorn. Our waiter was prompt and polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. We ordered 5 different plates and all were well prepared by the kitchen.
We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service at Acorn! We marveled at the seamless, pleasant way all employees took care of the guests at Acorn. Love the sharing of food!! We tried thinly sliced raw turnips with a mild soft cheese and tangy sauce, broccolini with anchovies, pesto, and crunchy croutons, and the ribeye with fresh chimicurri sauce and baked/smashed/fried potatoes. Everything was tantalizing and made our tastebuds dance with delight.
Food was fabulous and the atmosphere was very fun.
Father's Day
Outrageously succulent bbq brisket. The Source is a wonderful environs and the Acorn felt just right.
My wife and I ordered four shareable plates and each one was a home run. Acorn, you never cease to amaze. Bravo!
(Oddly, every time we've been to Oak, your sister restaurant, we've been underwhelmed.)
Have eaten at Acorn many times and keep going back for more. However, after our visit on Thursday, I won't be running back any time soon. I believe a restaurant is as good as its last meal and Thursday was a DISASTER!!!!! We ordered many small dishes as we usually do and one large dish - the octopus. Some (just some) of the smaller plates were good - some were just so-so. But the octopus was terrible- tough, chewy and tasteless. We had to send it back. The hamachi which I eat every time I go to Acorn was also tasteless. I tried the pork belly which I love - it was mediocre, at best. Carrots, eggplant, meatballs and steak tartare were just okay. The fried pickles and kale salad "hit" the mark. Drinks, which are usually tops, were also only okay. The martini was a total "miss." Thursday's visit was a HUGE disappointment!
We love going to the Acorn and always start with the Kale Salad, amazing. But I have to admit that you go for the food and not the ambience. Once again, all of the dishes chosen lived up to our expectations. The only hiccup was that when we got home, our clothes were so smoky that we had to leave them in the garage. We will be back.
Delicious!!! Loved everything... ambiance, vibe, food, location....
The sliced turnips with pan a cotta was a pleasant surprise and the roasted bone marrow was icing on the cake.
Loved my experience.
Good food; efficient and friendly service. Issues with ambiance and noise will me gone once construction is completed in front of the restaurant.
Excellent Food! Creative choices. Very reasonable prices on food. Although wine list a bit overpriced.
We loved Acorn and had a great experience! Our waiter helped us know how much to order based on what we were interested in and it was the perfect amount! The hamachi crudo was our absolute favorite dish of the night, I'm still dreaming about it!
Excellent, rich atmosphere.
Amazing food and service all around! Everyone was friendly and helpful, great wine, food was creative and delicious. Will definitely be back!
Great night, great food, excellent service and great ambiance. Would definitely recommend
One of my favorites! The food is amazing and well thought out. Everything is incredible.
We are elderly women and my friend was using a walker. All the staff, including the parking valet was especially kind and helpful.
The ambience and view and basic character of this restaurant has changed and not for the good. You can longer park in the lot I front unless you valet. They are building a hotel and parking garage in front and on the side of the restaurant which had totally destroyed all views and ambience. I was there 3 years ago and was totally in love with the restaurant and now, regretfully, would never go back. The portions seemed tiny especially the sausage plate while the pate plate was super generous. What is going on?
Disappointed at a great monetary expense.
Prices not for the faint at heart.
Lots of talk about this place... Disappointed with the services, food was good but nothing special. Pork Belly was way overcooked and didn't have enough of the sauce to help with that. I do think the posole was very good!
Amazing everything!
The food is amazing. Make sure you are hungry because you don't want to miss out on sweets!!
The food at Acorn is good enough to put it into the top ten for restaurants in the Denver area. We have been there for lunch and dinner, and these meals have been uniformly excellent. The menu presents the diner with very creative options, and each is meticulously prepared. The small plates are a diverse array of vegetarian and meat choices. The large plates may seem expensive, until you realize that they can feed multiple diners. Service matches the quality of the food. Noise levels are moderate, so do not expect an intimate dining experience. The food, however, more than makes up for this.
The food here is outstanding! I have never experienced a restaurant anything like this. All 4 of us want to go back soon. Our new favorite!
Amazing, spectacular, delicious! Just in a few words. Get the pastry of the day, try a fancy soda, and definitely get the pork pozole! It was soooo amazing. We took home leftovers and finished them later that night. We usually forget and end up throwing them away.
We would come again next week, og We didn't live so far away. Please open a place in Europe.
