The $40 4 course dinner is a great value. I recommend it highly. Try the lamb rack,
Paid for 7 course tasting menu and got six courses. Seems odd if you ask me...
Always a great place.. the chef saw my name and remembered I like mussels so they had some for me.. very thoughtful..
One of my favorite places to eat. It is always delicious, the waitresses are always informative, smile on face, have tried the specials. It's casual but very nice.
The food is very good and quite creative. The wine is very good as well and there are gluten-free options. The service was great and we really enjoyed eating here. I would recommend it to friends and will be back there soon.
Excellent! Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent wine list! Authentic northern Italian. Perfect menu. Highly recommend.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoy our tasting menu with the premium wine pairing. Our attentive server discussed the menu options with us patiently and was not afraid to suggest that we drink the wine flight in a slightly different order to enjoy the wines more thoroughly. (He was right! :-)) The food was perfectly seasoned and every dish was portioned appropriately. We dined like royalty for an extremely reasonable price. We'll be back to try the chef's choice tasting menu -- after our meal Saturday, I feel confident we will be in exceptional culinary hands. Grazie to all at Acero! (A quick note to explain the ambiance rating: once a few loud tables cleared out of the dining room, our experience was romantic and unrushed. Initially, though, we were concerned we'd have to shout back and forth to continue our conversation.)
Yum yum yum yum yum !!!!
The staff was wonderful
Aka Adam was a Delight
Fabulous! The 4-course special was a treat!
Very good service and a great meal. Totally enjoyed the environment and felt very taken care of. Very nice wine as well!
Always a great time. Food is wonderful. Service is excellent. Always surprised how much the servers know the details of everything they serve. Our favorite restaurant.
They cared about us a lot and that shined through the service and food.
We have been to Acero many times. We live close by, and when we want to treat ourselves to a wonderful dining experience we go there. As always, the food was great, and the service was spot on. I highly recommend the egg ravioli. It is not only delicious, but I have never had anything like it any where else. I would also like to say that the antipasta meat and cheese platter to start is another favorite of ours.
Acero is my favorite. Love going there and will be back soon.
I always love the food at Acero and I tried a new pasta this time that I hope is offered again. The squid ink pasta with seafood was scrumptious.
My wife and I enjoyed a great night with you. The food was outstanding and the service was also. Reminded me of the service we received at some 4 and 5 star rest. in New Your City.
All the best,
Bob and Bonnie
Always excellent food and service. Staff is wonderful!!
Did grand tasting with wine pairing. Easily on par with Michelin Star tastings we have done.
This was our second visit, this time for my wife’s birthday. The food and service were both wonderful. Might be our favorite spot in the area.
The menu was extensive, the choices were simple, not fussy. Unlike a lot of restaurants that "try too hard" with their combinations, Acero's combinations were concise.
Our server was knowledgeable and offered suggestions. Starting with the bread through the end of the meal, all of our choices were delicious and beautifully presented. My friend and I vowed that we would not wait so long to return.
Acero continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in STL. Their 40$ prix fixe for 4 courses is an outstanding value, particularly for the high quality of food you get.
Our service was so good and the server (sadly I forgot his name) was quick to answer questions and provide recommendations on wine. He was attentive but not overbearing.
I think the tagliolini with mushrooms (sprung for the black trumpets) is perhaps my favorite single thing I've ever had here. Will continue to come back and recommend to friends.
It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff made it a very special night. Adam, Andy and thw whole team have something very special at Acero!
It was great
This was our first time dining out at Acero and we will definitely be back! The four course tasting menu was recommended to us by a handful of people and it was a great choice. When given the opportunity, I'll always agree to try many dishes opposed to one and appreciated that the portions were nicely sized. Some standouts were the gnocco fritto which can be accurately described as prosciutto beignets. The egg raviolo was INCREDIBLE! My husband ordered this dish as part of his and I immediately regretted not getting it. The sea scallops as part of the entree were delectable and both the panna cotta and lemon cheesecake for dessert were spot on. I can't submit the review without acknowledging the service. Our waiter was attentive and was thorough in his recommendations. I look forward to visiting again!
First time dining at Acero. Overall the food was good. We did the 4-course tasting with a 2oz meat and cheese tray to start. The meat and cheese tray was really great. Would highly recommend. The beet salad and deserts were also very good. My husband and I were very disappointed with the pasta because it was over cooked (mushy).
This place is delicious! We discovered it about a month ago and the food is outstanding. All of the staff is very friendly and can answer any questions you may have!
Superb service and delicious food! We will be back!
The food was delicious. We were 10 minutes late for our reservation due to traffic, but we felt rushed by our server. The noise level made it difficult for conversation. We were seated next to a group of women celebrating an occasion. We will definitely go again and perhaps ask for a table in the back where it might be quieter.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in St. Louis. The food is spectacular, I've always had great service and the tasting menu is a really great deal!
A+ service and food.
It's one of those places you can take an out-of-town friend and be guaranteed a great dining experience. We had great food and a wonderful waitress. We had a slight wait for a table but that wasn't a problem during the high volume time of the evening. I would have no problem returning to Acero.
We had such an amazing time before we headed off to see a show at The Fox! We chose the 4 course tasting menu and what a great decision that was! The chef came out to talk to us and we were so impressed of his friendliness and explaining our charcuterie board to us. He came back over for us to tell him the Bleu cheese was the BEST we had ever eaten! Ask if they have Rogue River Creamery Bleu cheese and if so put it on your board! I had the crespelle, spaghetti alla chitarra...wonderful flavor, california halibut which melted in my mouth and the caramel panna cotta! My husband had the insalata mista that HE LOVED, tagliolini which had a very rich olive oil base, sea scallops and lemon cheesecake. We WILL be back!
Everything was wonderful! First time there and won’t be the last!
Acero never disappoints. I literally dream about their Egg Raviolio. They always have great seasonal offerings. Everything is made fresh.
My wife’s birthday fell on Wednesday this year and I wanted a nice dinner. We’ve had good luck in the past at Acero, but I would put a number of other places in the same high caliber. Anyway I picked Acero this time and I’m writing this because the dinner was outstanding. I hardly ever write reviews, but we walked feeling like this warranted mention. We had the tasting menu: 4 smaller courses and all were superb: I loved the beet salad, the crudo appetizer, tagliolini mushroom pasta, and the halibut. My wife enjoyed the butternut squash soup (nightly special), the crespelle veggie appetizer, the nightly ravioli special, a beef tenderloin entre. Although the food was spot on, I think what made the night great was our server, Tom. He was attentive without being intrusive, and truly informative about the food and the wine. This was the best restaurant dining experience I’ve enjoyed in over a year.
Our meal was wonderful! Creative beautiful food! The mushroom tagliolini is my favorite pasta. The salad with blue cheese was delicious too. We all had either the halibut or sea scallops for our entrees—yummy! Service was exceptional and the atmosphere is so comfy. The tasting menu is a great deal with an opportunity to try several dishes. This was our third visit—alnd we’ll be back!
First visit and it won’t be our last! Enjoyed cocktails at the bar before trying a 4 course tasting menu. The food was great (we especially liked the beet salad, the semolina gnocchi, the lamb shank). Ingredients were fresh, the preparation was not too heavy and the portions just right. From the hostess to the bartenders to the wait staff, everyone was friendly and professional.
We loved the tasting menu and shared with one another. EVERYthing was delicious! It made for a nice evening out!
Everything we ordered we delicious, and the service was great
Fiala Foods provide us with both of our go-to restaurants for dates and special occasions. We love Acero and The Crossing, in part because the tasting menus work well for our appetites and are so much fun. We enjoy Acero especially for the nouveau Italian food. Great chefs. Otherworldly desserts. Our waiter, Tom, helped us this time with wine selection and was especially attentive. Wonderful experience!
