We celebrated our 40 th wedding anniversay. It was warm in the front room of the restaurant and the receptionist was so wonderful and sweet and she moved us to the back room which was cooler. We loved our server. She was fun, and made great recommendations. The food was phenomenal and so was the wine. Authentic wonderful Italian cuisine! Caring and kind staff!
We love this restaurant.
Gnoccho frito, seafood appetizer (can’t recall what it was called and raviolo were outstanding! Love the food, value and service.
A wonderful meal at a wonderful place. I highly recommend Acero for an excellent Italian meal.
We enjoyed a diverse menu. Food was excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. The chef came around to chat and check on our meal. Unfortunately, it was very noisy on a Friday evening and conversation was renderred more difficult. Nevertheless, we would return and hope for a quieter evening.
Great ambiance, great service, the food was just ok. Salad and pasta were good but the steak and lamb chop were disappointing. The tasting menu was not worth it.
The restaurant became noisy and conversation at the table became difficult. Food was, as usual, very good!
Great wine list. Consistent authentic Tuscan food. Our favorite in STL besides sister restaurant The Crossing...
Excellent service and food. Definitely will go back.
Food was really good.
Excellent as always! Thanks.
We did the 4 course tasting menu and all the courses were delicious.
Acero is our absolute favorite restaurant and the most authentic Italian restaurant that we've found outside of Italy. From the amazing wine list, crafted cocktails, affordable tasting menu and knowledgeable staff, Acero is a force to be reckoned with. We could not recommend this place more highly!
Spectacular. Wonderful staff & service, amazing food & wine. Was sooo pleased. It was a Perfect girls date before the opera.
Great service, great four course tasting menu. I would recommend.
Awesome service. Always spectacular food. Can't resist the "meat donuts". Great patio dining. Amazing is the best word to describe the experience.
Fabulous again!!! I was there for Dining out for life and had to bring my Aunt!
Traveling to St Louis for business and my husband was able to join. He truly enjoyed one of my favorite restaurants in St Louis. Thank you for a wonderful experience and fantastic Italian food and wine.
Have been dining at Acero's since it opened quite a few years ago. It offers consistently excellent food. A pre fixe dining experience is available or you may order ala carte. The pasta is made in house and is fresh and delicious. Acero offers excellent salads and desserts. I've only had an entree several times and these were wonderful as well, although I'm usually quite happy with a salad, a pasta and a shared dessert. I've discovered several wonderful wines on their wine menu, as well. Also, on a warm spring, summer or fall evening, Acero's outdoor sidewalk dining area is a lovely place to watch lively downtown Maplewood.
We love, love, love this restaurant...excellent food and wine, outstanding service, value-add with the tasting menu -- it has become our go-to restaurant whenever we want to dine out. The only things I think need to be improved are: 1) the noise level; when there are a lot of diners, it's a bit difficult to converse since it gets loud, but they do their best to accommodate us with tables out of the mainstream if they are available, and 2) parking since it's street parking and sometimes it's hard to find a space
Great date night. Top notch service and great atmosphere. The tasting menu is the perfect way to try multiple dishes. Everything we had was outstanding. Must try’s are the tagliolini, scallops, egg raviolo and the steak special. Tonight was ribeye. Acero is definitely our favorite restaurant in St. Louis.
Everything was exceptional. I just had a little sticker shock when the bill arrived.
Our waiter was phenomenal. I don’t know his name but he is French and recently moved here from Paris. Just an overall great experience.
Abosolutely everything was amazing...food, drinks, and service!
What a wonderful dining experience, start to finish! We did the tasting menu and the chef really showed off his skills. The server was friendly, helpful, and knew his wine. Would highly recommend. This was not your everyday Italian restaurant. A real gem in a charming neighborhood
We were celebrating a birthday. I wanted to dine at Acero for a long time. Glad that I finally did and it was a real treat. The food was very tasty and the servings were just right.
The cocktails were fantastic! I highly recommend the seasonal tasting menu. All seven courses were outstanding and we all left full! The service is outstanding as well.
Amazing food, perfect wine pairing, best place to celebrate our anniversary!
My husband and I had a great time. Great food and service. We will return.
superb Italian dining---very consistent----tasting menu is excellent, service is excellent--one of the best if not the best Italian restaurants in area---eat there frequently and am never disappointed
We had a great meal on our 2nd trip to Acero!! Adam at bar was terrific on food recommendation and wine!! We will definitely visit on our next trip to the St. Louis area!!!
It was wonderful. The egg ravioli was a true blessing to the city of maplewood
Acero is consistently one of our favorite restaurants. Great food and service. You can’t go wrong with the four course tasting for $40
Acero is our go-to place when we know we need to impress guests or want to enjoy some quiet time by ourselves.
Great food and great service. The Acero Manhattan was outstanding.
My favorite St. Louis restaurant. Acero has never disappointed. Delicious food and great service.
We dined for “Dining out for Life” and the food was outstanding!! French waiter was a plus!
Great food. Server was really professional. Took to long. Arrived at 7 and left at 10. Granted we had a meat and cheese plate plus 4 more courses....still it was a little slow in between courses. Thanks for a great experience.
Overall, we did have a pleasant experience. We really liked our server, Maddie, who was spunky, fun & attentive.
The morel pasta, for my taste, was just OK.....the homemade tagliatelle noodle was light & superb, while the morels were a bit dry and the flavor of the dish lacking.
Another in the party ordered the scallops which were pan seared perfectly, but, again, the sauce preparation left me wanting.
While the food was generally good, I feel the restaurant puts on a front of being higher end than they deliver, especially at this price level.
Everything is wonderful EXCEPT the noise level. Impossible to hear the person across the table.
The $40 4 course dinner is a great value. I recommend it highly. Try the lamb rack,
Paid for 7 course tasting menu and got six courses. Seems odd if you ask me...
