Acero never disappoints. I literally dream about their Egg Raviolio. They always have great seasonal offerings. Everything is made fresh.

My wife’s birthday fell on Wednesday this year and I wanted a nice dinner. We’ve had good luck in the past at Acero, but I would put a number of other places in the same high caliber. Anyway I picked Acero this time and I’m writing this because the dinner was outstanding. I hardly ever write reviews, but we walked feeling like this warranted mention. We had the tasting menu: 4 smaller courses and all were superb: I loved the beet salad, the crudo appetizer, tagliolini mushroom pasta, and the halibut. My wife enjoyed the butternut squash soup (nightly special), the crespelle veggie appetizer, the nightly ravioli special, a beef tenderloin entre. Although the food was spot on, I think what made the night great was our server, Tom. He was attentive without being intrusive, and truly informative about the food and the wine. This was the best restaurant dining experience I’ve enjoyed in over a year.

Our meal was wonderful! Creative beautiful food! The mushroom tagliolini is my favorite pasta. The salad with blue cheese was delicious too. We all had either the halibut or sea scallops for our entrees—yummy! Service was exceptional and the atmosphere is so comfy. The tasting menu is a great deal with an opportunity to try several dishes. This was our third visit—alnd we’ll be back!

First visit and it won’t be our last! Enjoyed cocktails at the bar before trying a 4 course tasting menu. The food was great (we especially liked the beet salad, the semolina gnocchi, the lamb shank). Ingredients were fresh, the preparation was not too heavy and the portions just right. From the hostess to the bartenders to the wait staff, everyone was friendly and professional.

Fiala Foods provide us with both of our go-to restaurants for dates and special occasions. We love Acero and The Crossing, in part because the tasting menus work well for our appetites and are so much fun. We enjoy Acero especially for the nouveau Italian food. Great chefs. Otherworldly desserts. Our waiter, Tom, helped us this time with wine selection and was especially attentive. Wonderful experience!

This place is ok, but not elegant or fit for a special ocassion. Service is friendly and professional. Food is average, didn’t amaze me. Who knows, maybe I had higher expectations of a more upscale place.
