Ace Wasabi's Rock-n-Roll Sushi Ratings and Reviews
No complaints about the food. It was quite expensive, but then good sushi usually is. We were crammed in the back room with no windows and lots of loud drunk people. It was not a pleasant eating environment. For this reason I would not recommend nor would I go back. It is definitely a scene for 20 somethings who want to party.
Great food and service, an absolute delightful experience. Went there for a birthday dinner with a group of friends. We got a terrific table in the back, private. That was terrific, food was delicious and service was impeccable. Really enjoyed my experience.
Went with a large group and was seated in the back. We ordered several things to share with the entire table and each ordered individual rolls. The food was great and our server was really awesome. However, we had to wait an incredibly long time for our food to come out and they did not arrive together so those who were served first had to wait a really long time before eating. One of our friends literally got his sushi roll when we were done eating and ate really quickly so we can get the check. Another odd thing was we each ordered individual rolls but two rolls kept being served on the same plate so one person had to move their sushi onto their own appetizer plate. They did apologize for the food taking so long and it turned out to be quite good so I'm hoping they just had an off day.
As a party of ten, we made a last minute reservation looking for a fun place for sushi and this turned out to be a great choice. Sushi was as I would expect for San Francisco - fresh, tasty and presented well, but the service was what put the experience over the top. We were the last table of the night for them and they didn't rush us and kept the drinks flowing. Great place, fun atmosphere (if a tad too loud) and good food all around.
Food was really good and about the only reason I'd ever consider going back. Service was terrible and an insult when your server apologizes for being busy when you can clearly see open tables and watch her take saki bomb after saki bomb with the party two tables away.
It look our waitress 20 minutes to greet us and then another 30 minutes to bring our first round of drinks, Saki and beer - how hard could it be to open up bottles? We had to remind our waitress about our order. She just blamed the bartender who was taking care of "customer relations" - whatever that means. Aren't we customers?? This was all happening while we watched all the waitresses and bartenders take shots with other tables.
The food was correct, but of course delivered late. It took so long to get a round of drinks that we would order two rounds at a time.. that still didn't help. The waitress brought free Saki to ease the tension, but ended up drinking it with us.
Finally, as the night was ended the waitress gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing. We declined any more food, but asked that she let us know when the bar was closing because we may want to order 1 more round. Without giving her the green light to order another round she just shows up with more drinks. When we all explain that we didn't order the round, no one did, she became defensive and claimed that since the bottle were already opened we had to pay for them.. $280 NOT worth paying. Not a great experience at all...
Came here with a group of girlfriends and not only was the service excellent (we had Marley as our server), the food was delicious, the happy hour specials were super awesome, and they accommodated our group by putting us in a back room with larger seating so we could have fun without disrupting other diners. We went for bingo but missed it, but that didn't put a damper on our night! Overall the experience was great!
The food here is absolutely amazing. The BEST sushi I have ever had. Very creative combinations on rolls, apps were delicious...all around GREAT experience. The atmosphere is very upbeat, loud music, but great selections/play list. I would recommend this place to anyone.
