Fabulous birthday sake and sushi!
Went there 22 years ago without kids and returned this week with our two girls. Absolutely perfect evening. Table for 9 with great service and wonderful food.
We needed a restaurant that opened early for dinner where we could celebrate our son's birthday. He is a vegan so Japanese food is usually a good choice. Our regular choices did not open until later so we decided to give them a shot.
What a pleasant surprise. Very fresh, well prepared options with a lot of our favorites as well as things we had not tasted before and/or which had a somewhat different preparation.
The five of us were very pleased with the food and the service. Best of all, it was a real bargain considering what we consumed. Four of us had gone out recently to a very high scale San Francisco restaurant and the tab ran over one hundred dollars a person. Our tab here was almost sixty percent less.
I'm sure that we will be dining there many times in the future
Service was slow and the kitchen was backed up. Took us 30+ minutes to get 2 bottles of hot sake (aka the easiest thing to pour). Waitress was pretty rude any time we asked her for something. There was another woman helping her out who was extremely nice and helpful. Food was great and ambiance was perfect for the occasion!
Server Nadia was incredible taking care of a large party Well done all around
My birthday celebration there was incredible! Thank you for a great night.
great sushi and great service. Nice convenient place to go the show at the Palace of Fine arts.
Ace was our old stompin' grounds when my husband and I first started dating. After 15 years, we went back for my husband's birthday to find that the food has only gotten better. It was amazing. I would highly recommend the Hamachi Serrano Sashimi, Gyoza Potstickers & Crunchy Ace Wasabi Roll. Such a fun and energetic environment to enjoy friends and celebrate fun occasions.
This used to be one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood. Over the past couple of years it was falling off a bit (service, quality of sushi, and price). This past experience was the nail in the coffin for us, with the main issue being an hour long wait for our food.
Great sushi and service. Don't miss that when in SF.
I love eating here, they always have such great service and can accommodate my ned for jalepenos (extra extra). I love their rolls and they have a great happy hour!
Pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything tastes! This is a great spot for creative sushi and othe fun bar food and appetizers. I will definitely go again! Try the Smashing Pumpkins sushi - it’s awesome!
Hands down the best sushi spot in the Marina!
It's always rad, doubly so when Natale & Marley are running the show!
Amazing and accommodating service for a large group! The restaurant staff and food was awesome. Totally recommend!
WE were in the back room, which fit our party well - larger tables, away from the bustle up front. Fun rock and roll background music, thankfully not too loud, at least in the back. But the high point is the food - really excellent and innovative sushi/sashimi. The fish is all incredibly fresh tasting. The variety on the menu is very broad. A little expensive, but my grandson can eat A LOT of sushi! We have eaten at several, and this is definitely the GO TO place for sushi in the Marina and beyond. Worth every penny!
The fish was great. Very fresh and delicious. Melts in your mouth. We sat in the back, which was fine except that there is a door to the outside and it seems to be close to the garbage, so when it was opened, the smell was unpleasant...
Last, after we were sat, they announced that for parties they have a 2 to 2:15 hours dinner time limit. That should be advertised on the site.
It took 25 minutes to get the drinks we ordered and they forgot to bring us one of our rolls
Went here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing! The hosts were very accommodating and so nice! The food was delicious and will definitely be coming back
I love the happy hour deals and overall service. Perfect for casual dining or a birthday.
This restaurant was AMAZING. Best sushi I have ever had and the staff was very nice and accommodating (specifically one of the cooks, Will). Would recommend to anyone who likes sushi and is visiting San Francisco.
Your food and your service is amazing but your hostess is nice and accommodating she made the entire experience better!
Coming back soon!
One of my favorites Japanese restaurants in town!!!
We are regulars... sushi is always fine, this time it was outstanding- service was the worst
Sushi shouldn't be cheap, but this place is overpriced
Delicious and creative rolls. The back room is good for a large party, but can get get quite loud. Not a good place if you want to have a conversation. The nigiri are fine, but not special for the price.
Server was incredibly rude
Great rolls and good value! This is a great place to go with a group of friends - the atmosphere is fun and lively. Many young people are here before going out on a Friday or Saturday. Enjoyed it!
Great food. We loved it. Definitely worthwile going there. Best Sushi in town. We will come back.
5 star Sushi restaurant in each and every category... amazing Maki creations, top service, ABSOLUTE RECOMMENDATION!!!
No complaints about the food. It was quite expensive, but then good sushi usually is. We were crammed in the back room with no windows and lots of loud drunk people. It was not a pleasant eating environment. For this reason I would not recommend nor would I go back. It is definitely a scene for 20 somethings who want to party.
This is good sushi in a lively environment. The service is good and friendly . I came with a group of girlfriends and we enjoyed it. It is not quiet, but we easily could hear ourselves.
Ace Wasabi is always so much fun and the food is even better! Made the reservation for a birthday and had the best time!
Really fun, great happy hour! Good for groups and they take reservations. Will be back for sure!
Great food and service, an absolute delightful experience. Went there for a birthday dinner with a group of friends. We got a terrific table in the back, private. That was terrific, food was delicious and service was impeccable. Really enjoyed my experience.
The waitress was batty, our table was right next to the door and workers were going in and out throughout our dinner, there was a crying baby the entire time. It was not a relaxing family dinner.
Excellent meal and happy hour offers were such good value. The waitress was on top form too!
Love this place. Our server was fun and engaging. The sushi was amazing. A little too much tempura on the menu for me. Great night!
Too loud! Spoiled great food
Went with a large group and was seated in the back. We ordered several things to share with the entire table and each ordered individual rolls. The food was great and our server was really awesome. However, we had to wait an incredibly long time for our food to come out and they did not arrive together so those who were served first had to wait a really long time before eating. One of our friends literally got his sushi roll when we were done eating and ate really quickly so we can get the check. Another odd thing was we each ordered individual rolls but two rolls kept being served on the same plate so one person had to move their sushi onto their own appetizer plate. They did apologize for the food taking so long and it turned out to be quite good so I'm hoping they just had an off day.
LOVE strong for this spot for many many reasons.
1. Love their quinoa and no rice roll options
2. FUN FUN atmosphere! They play the bestt rap/hip hop.
3. Awesome service!
3. Fab location
