Ace Eat Serve Ratings and Reviews
I come here for the atmosphere more than anything. The food is fine, I would like it more if it wasn't so expensive. I feel like it isn't a great value for the money. But I will say the service is fantastic and I love their homemade sodas and cocktails. The great service and atmosphere make it worth checking out.
We were in Denver on a visit and wanted to try something fun. This place rocked! Our server was splendid, her recommendations on the menu was perfect. We had the Pad Thai.. incredible! Shrimp fried rice.. fab! Calamari and Egg rolls on the appetizers ... beautiful! Local brew .. tasty! The energy was fun, uber hip and vibrant. Great place and highly recommended!
I would say that Ace Eat Serve has great potential. It's a fun atmosphere with table tennis and drinks. However, the "gluten free" menu is full of items that would make you sick if served as described. I as a celiac person and my fiance both had meals that made us feel ill later. The woman who was filling waters in the restaurant even though we had water on the table, filled my drink glass with water on top of my cocktail, then disappeared w/o solving the problem.
I would not recommend the restaurant until they get it together. Pretty weak with potential.
I went for the "famous" wings. We arrived about 5pm. The menu was very limited until dinner at 6pm which seemed goofy. You can get ramen and a special drink but not just ramen. The restaurant smelled fishy when we walked in which was a turn off. And then the wings were crispy, saucy (tiger sauce), and reasonably priced. However, again, they smelled like fish. I realize that they use fish sauce or paste as an ingredient, but they just weren't pleasant to smell which wrecked the entire experience. The bao buns were soft and mushy and small so surely not worth $5 each, so nothing we ordered except the pickled cucumber salad was good. Disappointing.
My first time here and I really enjoyed it. I work full-time as server in upscale dining which makes it hard for me sometimes to enjoy eating out, but Ace nailed it. Friendly host. Great server who knew her stuff, especially about the wine selection. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back. One odd thing about their wine menu is that they don't discount a bottle of wine vs 4 standard glasses. There's no incentive to get the bottle. I thought that was really odd.
A group of 4 of us visited ACE. We were sat outside promptly per our request. There was a bar adjacent and people playing ping pong nearby. The decor is fitting with the times and very well done. We shared multiple appetizers and raved about every one of them. We each had a different main course and I didn't hear a single complaint. In addition to a great meal you can play ping pong while you wait or play before or after. ACE is a unique experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends. I will be back
Meh. Food wasn't great. Asked for spicy on my pad Thai and it came almost uneatable. And I usually order 'Thai hot', but this was out of control. The crispy beef was crispy, but not a lot of flavor. There were so many staff, but so few of them were doing anything, the service was fine and they were all pleasant, but could have been better. And, the food took forever - like 25 minutes for two dishes. Maybe some of the bar and restaurant staff should help out in the kitchen. We won't go back, and we're bummed about that.
We were visiting Denver from Austin and I always love finding the local places, which is why we came here. Also, ramen was on the menu. Loved the atmosphere and building, reclaimed design. Very fun. We were seated right away and the service was great. Ordered spring rolls which were amazing and my husband and I both had ramen, Shio and Mushroom. I was not at all impressed with mine, the Shio. It was bland so I doctored it a bit and ate most of the noodles, the egg but not much else. I didn't complain but was honest with our waiter when he asked. Upon receiving our bill there was a 100% good karma line where they deducted the cost of my ramen. So awesome and the main reason why I would recommend this location. Two thumbs up y'all.
Usually a huge fan, but the new menu left me missing the old one and the music was unbelievably loud. You couldn't have a conversation at the bar despite there being open seats. The server even commented on how loud the music was but did nothing to fix it. Left quickly.
We went on a double date here with some friends and had a nice time! We shared a bunch of the appetizers and they ordered meals. There were a ton of delicious Brussel sprouts, very large portion. I asked for them to go light on the oil and they did. I was slightly disappointed in the gyoza, they were small and I didn't love them but the boyfriend thought that they were good. I loved the beef bao! Iced Green tea was delicious. We also got the donut for dessert and it was really good! The cream that came with it reminded me of lucky charms milk.
Be sure to reserve a ping pong table well in advance, wait is huge. Asian fusion food that's def yummy but not remarkable. The tuna in our bento box wasn't very fresh, but manager made it right and brought a new entree and took the bento off of our bill. Fun decor and lively vibe, I'd def go back.
Did not receive our food until an hour in, even though we had reservation. I could tell my food wasn't fresh. Same seasoning was used in two of our dishes, so it wasn't super exciting. My partner received the wrong drink. Staff didn't seem too busy as there were open tables, but the wait was one of the worst I've ever had. The hostess was rude upon greeting us.
waiter and service was great. food was also excellent. got a chilly reception when first greeted by the hostess on duty that night (Valentines night 2.14.17) which kinda set a bad taste in my mouth. she was rude, appeared put out to seat us and just wasn't at all welcoming or remotely friendly~
