Contemporary American
Acadia is a two star Michelin restaurant in Chicago's South Loop Neighborhood. Most roots come from classic American, French and Italian influences. Seafood and shellfish products will mostly be sourced from the area in Maine where Chef McCaskey spent his summers, but also which happens to be a source to some of the highest quality shellfish in the world.

Acadia currently is only offering an à la carte menu on our new, beautiful sidewalk patio. All reservations for al fresco dining are weather-permitting. If inclement weather occurs, you are welcome to reschedule, availability permitting. If it rains during the duration of dining experience, we will package your meal to-go for you. Currently, we are restricting dining time to 2 hours per party.

Acadia never disappoints. Once you set your reservation date/time, you wait in excited anticipation of your dining experience with thoughts of flavors on your palate and artful presentation laid before you.

Patio redo...spot on. The size, lights, plants, tiki torches while providing a bit of privacy from the street. Cocktails to go.....super fun idea. The Bartenders have always been masterful mixologists.

I am grateful a restaurant of this caliber settled into the South Loop so long ago and continues to thrive and impress it's patrons local and afar.

Acadia is a great fine dining neighborhood spot. We ate on the newly created patio outside the front door. It is a relatively quiet street, but next to a dog park so be prepared for the occasional barks. However, the design and landscaping of the space really made me feel like I was someplace more serene. There is a smaller menu than before, but we had a nice variety of dishes and cocktails. I had the lobster "pot pie" and my husband had the steak fries, and both were delicious. We also enjoyed their creative use of edible flowers - now my husband is trying to grill dill flowers. I am glad the restaurant is back open and wish them the best.

Limited number of outdoor tables, nicely separated by planters. Service was very good. Police station nearby resulted in some screaming patrol cars zipping by, but otherwise the setting was good. Service was very professional. Food was delicious. Lobster pot pie is "deconstructed," and doesn't look like much when served, but there is a lot of lobster and the buttery sauce is very good. Mussels and burger looked good. Toast with aoli with the mussels juice was perhaps the best part of the meal. Lemony saison beer was very good on a warm summer night.

Acadia has created a pretty patio with a limited but delicious version of their bar menu. The wait staff at the table were great, but the bar staff could have been a bit quicker, considering there are only two drinks on offer. Otherwise a great place to eat on a warm evening.

Most disappointing Michelin star experience ever. Rude bartender, unattentive and forgetful waitress, average to mediocre food, and WAAAAAY overpriced. We spent $660 for two, and would not return even if it was $100. This restaurant alone makes me question the integrity of the Michelin program.

It was overall a good experience. The hosts were nice the servers knowledgeable. The chef was truly inspired and you could see his passion in every bite. My personal favorite was the mini lobster roll that was served to us when we first walked in.

Valentine’s Day menu completely not worth it. Portions too small for the price. One tiny oyster. One tiny beet. Menu also included foie gras which was not even served! Go to wherewithall for a much better experience.

Superb experience. Maddy, my chief wait staff, very attentive and knowledgeable. A cold, snowy night and this restaurant was a very welcome 3.5 hour sustenance. I was aware of the expense; it was worth the evening.

This was the best dining experience I've ever had. I knew it would be wonderful given the 2 stars, but honestly everything was perfect. Every dish was enticing and delicious, the chefs are incredibly creative but they don't miss a thing. Some places like this will make an incredible dish with creative plating/unique ingredients/good wine pairings, but have the dish taste sort of meh. This wasn't the case with Acadia. Everything was delicious and fascinating, the staff was kind, knowledgeable, and made you feel at home. I'd recommend this place to anyone for a special event, and I hear the bar is a great, much more approachable menu for those looking to go more often.

A flawlessly served perfectly executed delicious meal. We did the tasting menu and wine paring. The food and presentation beautiful, creative and thoughtful and every bite was wonderful. The staff was attentive and described every dish as well as the chefs inspiration of each. I cannot say enough how much we all enjoyed every minute
