We opted for the lunch app/entree/dessert. The pear salad was lite and wonderful gnocchi with squash and cauliflower was heavenly. My colleague had the salmon which was also very good! We ran short on time so had dessert to go.

This evening's special, a duo of pheasant, was outstanding. The breast meat was cooked to perfection, and a confit that was prepared with root vegetables in a pie was imaginative and a true delight. Along with the creamy cauliflower soup, I'd say these two courses made an excellent autumn meal and speaks much of the chef and his commitment to outstanding cuisine.

Kudos to Terry, Denise, Lauren and, of course, Chris and staff, for another terrific dinner. As always, food and service was exemplary. Never disappointed at Acacia!

We have been going to Acacia for years (including prior to the current management) and will continue to go. We celebrate birthdays and New Year's Eve there. This past visit was was good, where it has been excellent in the past. We all ordered the same entrees and the inconsistency between the three plates was noticeable (quantity, quality and presentation)...I wish I had taken a photo of the three plates to show you what I mean (on one of the three plates the main protein was smaller, and with a lot more fat and it looked like the meat was thrown on top of the vegetable and starch...the other two plates were perfect with thicker/larger/leaner pieces of meat and presented beautifully). This experience was not the usual we've had here, so we will be going back. Service is always friendly and professional there and in general food is very good.

As always, Acacia rose to its usual level of excellence. The staff, the food, the ability to have a quiet conversation with friends - all of this makes Acacia one of our favorite restaurants in the Princeton area. Thanks, Acacia.

Was not happy with my seafood risotto which was loaded with onions making the taste unpleasant. Also only rice and shrimp - not really seafood. The 2 cod dishes were just ok. Service was really good. Salads were large and tasty. Not really worth the high price

20 years ago I took my girlfriend there on one of our first dates.

20 years later I took her , now my wife, back to Acacia to celebrate our anniversary.

They've been at the same location for 20 years!!

I believe that tell you everything you need to know.

Food was good but not great , the kitchen seems to struggle during busy tines and the quality of the food preparation and presentation reflects this. Special was discussed but suddenly was unavailable at 7:30 PM ? Waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and in need of additional help. I think the menu needs a long overdue makeover , or an adjustment for seasonality .

We like Acacia , a great BYOB and fun experience , and will come back, but some minor changes would greatly benefit both the restaurant and its clientele .

Disappointing is the best way to describe our lunch at Acacia. My wife had the salmon and crab open sandwich. The consistency of it was strange - slimy/mushy and tasteless without any distinctive taste of either crab or salmon. She said it was almost as bad as airline food. I had the salmon which was also bereft of any seasoning. The highlights were the pear salad and the dessert (bread pudding). Service was okay, although the waiter could tell my wife really did not like the salmon and crab concoction, but seemed indifferent about it when she told him. Ambiance was pleasing and attractive.

We are generally reluctant to leave bad reviews about restaurants, however we were really dismayed that the lunch at Acacia was so lacking in flavor. Maybe it was just a bad day for the kitchen, but we honestly would not return here.

This is one of several excellent restaurants that is close to my home and that I can frequent at least every other week. Working my way through the summer menu, I finally tried the veal chop and it was delicious. The summer tomato salad with a variety of local Jersey tomatoes was also great.

We had a family gathering celebration for 11 people for my birthday. Two people were added at the last moment and then two other removed. They accommodated without any issues. The food was delicious, everything served on time at perfect temperature for the whole table. We had vegans in our group, they found wonderful options for themselves. I was happy it was not noisy, we could all talk to each other at a large round table. Great place! Will be back.

Once again, my husband and I had a great meal at Acacia. We see it as our neighborhood place to go when we don't feel like cooking or need a little treat. We always enjoy the food, the staff is very pleasant and we like the atmosphere. While our very favorites are the calamari and the "brick" chicken, the menu does change seasonally, uses lots of local produce and products, and we always have many choices. So glad that Acacia is there for us!
