Emily was great. Food was awesome. This was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary ❤️
We had a phenomenal experience. Everything was so good.
It was my anniversary and tried this place out. All reviews was great and it's no lie! I had the lamb (seasonal) my wife had the scallops soooooo good. if you haven't tried this place your cheating yourself
Waiter forgot my appetizer, had to remind him to bring our coffee. He was friendly, but absentminded. Had to return the shrimp and grits because it was over salted, unedible. Oysters were great.
Great restaurant and service was superb. Food was cooked to perfection.
Enjoyed everything - Kim was a wonderful server!
Emily was great and the food is always good! Love the oyster selection!
Service was great and the food was excellent and I will go back again
I enjoyed the crab appetizers and the salmon special. It was very good. We plan to return.
Everything was very good but it took a very long time to get our entrees because a very large group had ordered before us. We were given free dessert for the inconvenience.
Good food. Bit of a lull in the service which was only explained after we inquired about where our dinner was after a 1 hour interval between it and the appetizer (they had a "large wedding party which put the kitchen behind." They made up for it with a couple of complimentary desserts for our table of 4 which was a nice gesture. Overall, our experience with Abel Brown has been good and we'll be back, Young waitstaff need to be trained to keep the customers informed about delays instead of reacting to inquiries.
As always we enjoyed our meal. So hard to choose, but we had an appetizer, split a salad, and each had an entree. No room for dessert. Enjoyed some wine, too! Always a treat to eat here.
We had a great evening! The oysters were delicious!
This was my niece’s first time at Abel Brown and she loved everything about the restaurant. She said she wished she could eat like this all the time!
My wife and I decided to try this place for our anniversary. The service was nice, cordial and efficient. I thought the food was very good, although early on on Thursday evening they were out of a couple of different offerings which I thought a bit unusual. I thought the meals were fully valued from a price standpoint but definitely would go back and try it again. The pork shoulder and wedge salad were a very nice meal.
Food was amazing and the service was perfect, just attentive enough as to give us privacy but still make sure we never needed anything.
We were in town for the Masters golf tournament. Went here on Friday night, sat at the bar and had a fantastic time and great meal. Enjoyed it so much we did the same thing on Sunday night even though we had a reservation at another highly regarded restaurant. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere was great.
The food was great. But the staff sat a group that was already well on their way to being over served. They should have never been placed in the dining room. They were loud from the first moment. They began by asking if they were going to be kick out! They just got louder! They open at least one more bottle of wine and a few more liquor drinks. Our dinner was narrated with their foul language and loud commentary. The management should have asked them to be respectful of the of patrons but it was not! I am very disappointed in Abel Brown. It will it quite a bit of reconsideration before I return to my favorite restaurant!
Fantastic experience! The wait was long, but well worth it. The oysters, charcuterie board, and ceviche were all amazing. I will definitely be returning when I am back in the Augusta area!
Loved our waitress Emilee, she was wonderful. The evening was all good, from the smiling hostess to the perfect drinks, apps & dinner.
If you’re in Augusta, then find this place!
Best restaurant in Augusta, good is 5 star quality
Great evening from the first Gin Cocktail all the way through to Coffee with fantastic food in between as the main event. Victoria was a great waitress and looked after us all evening. It was very busy due to the US Masters but the quality of food was excellent and service very good and every waitress checked the table as they passed even if it was not one of their own, very impressive and worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our time here. We were in town for the Masters and picked this spot from OpenTable. We both had specials. The carpaccio appetizer and crab cake were excellent. I had the filet special and my brother had the monk fish special. Both of us really liked it. Desserts were great, the homemade ice cream was amazing!
Outstanding food. Oysters, wedge salad, lamb (special offering), scallops and delicious blueberry cheesecake we had no business ordering but it disappeared like magic! Our server, Natalie made our Abel Brown evening even better!
We both loved our meals. The service was as good as it gets. Would definitely go back.
We very much enjoyed our experience. The food was perfectly prepared. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. They had a nice selection of interesting Americana and creative Southern cuisine.
The food was amazing- outstanding- the waitress was fantastic- but I HATED
The booths- we were stuck in a booth and could not see the restaurant. To
make a fun spot- you need the energy of the entire room--to make it work.
The bar looked like so much fun, but the dining room was terrible.
So sad, because this is the best food that I have ever had in Augusta-
not sure if I would go back.
Tear down the wall!!
This is the fourth time we have eaten at this location. Each time, the food has been a little less than the time before. This time, the steak was bland, as well as the prices of the 'specials' were increased for Masters week. It was definitely not worth the amount charged. For example, we were told there was a Sea Food Platter app. We ordered that for my wife's meal. It had two lobster claws, four or five shrimp, and four oysters. We thought it was a little sparse, but figured since it was a 'special' the price was lower, thus less food. When we got the bill, this item was $75. We spent more than $200, without the tip. The most we have paid, previously, for similar selections were approx $100. We were deeply disappointed and won't be returning any time soon.
We went the Monday of Masters week and the place was packed, but it was a great experience with an impressive menu, including the wine list. The wait staff was also very professional. Highly recommend any menu item with the bacon. I've had my fair share and it might have been the best I've ever had.
This restaurant is a must if you are in Augusta, GA. Casual atmosphere, wonderful staff, amazing chefs, reasonable priced and fabulous meals.
Reservation was right on time with no wait.
Service at the table was slow, but not terrible and this was Masters week in Augusta, so I wouldn't really complain about that.
Food was really good, with big portions. We were too full to try dessert.
Wow - what a GREAT experience!! Definitely one of my all time favorite meals. Victoria did a great job waiting on us and her friendliness and suggestions really made for a nice evening. Quality of the food and the price go hand in hand and Abel Brown's chef hit it out of the park. My spouse had the Seared Tuna and I had the Scallops along with wedge salads and cerviche as a starter. The cerviche was a bit spicy for me personally but my husband loved it! Even the homemade sorbet was to die for - we tried all 3 flavors :) Great job everyone and thanks for a memorable dining experience!
Pre Masters practice round dinner. Food was very very good! A must try. We didn’t eat off the menu, we had that evenings specials (there were 4 and they all sounded amazing).
Awesome dinner @ Abel Brown-kicked off Masters week Sunday night! Great decor with relaxed vibe
Delicious food, great atmosphere fine dining experience.
Oysters were fresh and nicely complemented with the usual garnishments. Oyster Rockefeller were also very tasty however the Imperial oysters were a bit of a letdown. At $7 per oyster the Stoli and Caviar topped oysters just didn’t stand out to me, perhaps it was the overwhelming watermelon flavor that washed out everything else. To make it worse it’s priced at $7 each or, what I ordered, 1/2 dozen for $35 yet was billed $42 (6x$7) at the end of the night. Not a biggie and I didn’t mention it. Our waitress was very attentive and knew when to check on us. Her wine recommendations were good and if she didn’t know, she went and found out. Kudos for admitting weak areas and not simply BS her way through the menu. My wife and I both had scallops for the entree and it was delicious. Well done and all the ingredients worked well together. Would eat there again!
Our service was fantastic and the food was great! We had roasted oysters for a starter and the duck as the entree. I may dream about the duck, it was that good! Jennifer was our server, she was great! We will be back!
Early dinner, 5 PM on a Friday. Greeting staff and waiter were terrific. Meals were outstanding! Looking forward to returning soon.
Wonderful food and service - will come back when in area again
