New Year’s Eve with friends & our waitress, Katie, was great!
Thank you for ending our 2018 on a Great note I brought a very special person here and she loved it Thank you
Wonderful as always! Only complaint ever is the noise level/acoustics
Reservation was for 8, didnt get sat until 8:45. We arrived at 7:45. We were served frozen bread, and when we told the manager, he was nonchalant about it. We were served soup with no spoons, literally drank from a bowl. We would've asked for spoons if the server ever came back to the table. They forgot our wine, and my husband's beer 3 times. We will never go back. Not worth the money.
My husband and I visited Abel Brown prior to visiting the Miller Theatre and had one of the greatest meals we've had! All of the oysters were delicious (the spicy jalapeno are the best)! Hunter was our server and he was amazing. He recommended the perfect bottle of wine to complement our choices and was extremely attentive. I had the filet cooked perfectly while my husband loved their smoked ribeye. Next time I'm in Augusta, I will definitely be returning!
Best restaurant in Augusta!! Great ambiance and service!
This venue is everything I was told it would be. Amazing oysters, hard to decide upscale eclectic dinner choices. I will definitely be back.
My steak was seasoned very good, I had to get it cooked more because it was mr instead of mw, when it came back my fingerlings were gone. The greens were tuff and stringy. My husband pork chop was good and my steak was too. I felt tricked when asked if we wanted the salad or soup (did not know it doesn’t come with it, 9.00 extra) my steak was 42 so that ended up being 51 pricey. For 2- 148 before tip. Lobster rolls 22.00 , we do t mind splurging but thought to much for that. We have gone to other places that were good but not that much. Our bread pudding was great! We will go again but not regularly.
Great food in a bright, friendly room with a great team
Our dinner and the atmosphere were great. Great setting. We sat in bar area and enjoyed the energy. Worth the visit and credit card swipe. Wait staff is excellent.
Amazing in all accounts. A sophisticated twist on Southern Cuisine. Highly recommend.
We have frequent Abel Brown’s many many many times and have raved about the food and it has been our recommendation over other nice restaurants. Yet, this time we were entertaining a guest and was very disappointed. The lobster appetizers were simply lobster in a hotdog roll, very bland taste, the butternut squash soup was good but our entrees were not to the standard of Abel Brown’s.
We assumed Todd was not working that night, otherwise our food would have been to the expectation we are accustomed too.
We invite a phone call to explain more.
Will ans Tricia Sherrill
Kira was wonderful and my girlfriend had an amazing birthday! I ordered pulled pork and changed the sides which was not an issue at all- tasted amazing. Kayla got the filet which was one of the specials that night and devoured it. Taylor, the manager, came by and was so sweet. One of the best restaurants in Augusta. Make a reservation tho because it can get packed.
Abel Brown is one of the best restaurants in Augusta. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was classy.
I brought my wife for our anniversary so I was ok with spending a little extra on the food. It was worth it for the service, out of the ordinary menu items, exceptionally prepared cuisine, ambiance and the have great oyster menu, seafood and cocktails if you're into that.
They also gave us a creme brulee on the house because it was our anniversary which was very nice especially because we like to experience new things on our date and we never had it as well as it was our first time at A.B.
Food and service excellent,Hunter our waiter was great. Will be back.
The food was very good, however it was expensive in my book.
We love going to Abel Browns. The food is awesome and the service is amazing. Thank you.
As always, Abel Brown is a good experience: great service, very good food, good variety of choices. This is one of my top 4 restaurants in Augusta. Easily a place you can frequent once a week.
Dinner before show. First waiter brought a wine that was not correct. Then we changed and he broke the cork off and struggled to get it open. Then when he poured for taste he spilled all over glass. I had to ask to have a fresh glass brought. Then knowing we were trying to get out to get to a show. He wa slow. Food was excellent but waiter need to be canned for this type of service.
First time customer. Seared scallops on crab risotto was awesome. Service and hospitality even better. Good drink menu. Great experience!!!!
My husband and I have made this our second best restaurant in Augusta.
We ordered tuna, salmon, oysters and wine recommended by Andre. All was very good and well presented. I will go back and recommend to others.
The service was outstanding. Decor was great! However, the food was just average. Expected more the cost. Good experience overall though.
This was our second visit and new "go to" spot for special occasions. Wonderful food, service and creative menu. Thank you!.
Dinner and oysters great. Isaac very kind, professional, efficient
We decided to try this place out for an anniversary dinner. Everything was good at first, until a party of 8+ was sat right next to us. Me and my husband could barely hear one another and our romantic dinner turned into an unpleasant one unfortunately.
It is always a wonderful experience. We love the Rockefeller oysters. The meals are fresh and special. The best in Augusta.
This is not my first visit and definitely will not be my last. My visit last Saturday night was perfect! The food was excellent as usual. I had my favorite which was the bacon crusted salmon! My guest had the shrimp and grits. Our server was amazing.
Graduation from Nursing School
Excellent service and food great atmosphere. Southern culture at its finest.
Food not up to usual standards...had the flounder and my wife the duck...neither were great !!!
Have been many times. It has been a staple in my choices for dinner. Was terribly disappointing that I took a dear friend out to celebrate her promotion, and toward the end of our meal after having left the waiter a very generous tip, he approached us and asked that we vacate the table and 'go to the front' because they had a party coming in. Would have been extremely nice had he even located a table for us in the bar. We saw one when we did head to the front that was not identified as reserved, yet we were told we could not sit there either. Not sure I'll be back.
We went for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely phenomenal the food the service everything the drinks top notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion
Abel Brown is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner, a special date, or locally sourced foods. I recommend Abel Brown to anyone seeking an all around pleasurable eating experience. 😊
Great dining experience. Fine dining and great cuisine. They have a lot of specials not on the menu. Desserts were also wonderful, especially the pineapple banana passion fruit sorbet.
Lariana took great care of us for my birthday dinner celebration. We had an appetizer of crab cake and she suggested a wonderful bottle of wine for us. We had the pecan ribeye and the pork chops. The sides were really nice, especially the grilled Brussel sprouts.
We will be back! Food and service were wonderful!
