Eggs ordered soft, came out almost hard boiled. Server took a 30 minute break and we had to ask a manager for our check.

"We're going to steak night. We're going to eat it right. Steak is such a treat. It is the world's best meat!" -Scrubs

This is not a "Oh lets grab a quick bite" place- this is a place for celebration. (If this is a quick bite place for you and you are open to having a poor friend let me know.) But in short- it/the steak lived up to the hype.

Aged, seasoned, and cooked to perfection, I was still salivating as I left the restaurant and when I woke up the next morning.

Finishing with the cookie for dessert... lets just say that eating cereal for breakfast the morning after was filled with thoughts of dinner the night before.

I don't know the next time I will have something to celebrate, but Abe and Louie's is on the short list.

Have had many meals in Boston. First time to Abe and Louie's. Can't think of a better steak experience in Boston. App's were also strong and they served an incredibly well made martini w/ a bucket of ice to keep the side car top off chilled. The steak was done correctly and the waiter made sure my gluten free guest didn't have breadcrumbs in his stuffed lobster or sides. Strongly recommend this place if you're looking for steak or just a great dining experience in the Back Bay.

Nice ambiance for jazz brunch. Menu is bland and overpriced however for brunch items. Yogurt parfait literally came with a tiny scoop of granola and 4 strawberries for $15.

Excellent experience once again. It was my girlfriend's first time at Abe & Louie's and she couldn't stopping talking about how great the place is from the rolls to the steak to the Espresso Martini's. Great place!

The food and service at Abe & Louies was outstanding . Unfortunately the noise level was so high that the experience was not overall a positive one. We had several tables around us filled with loud, drunk groups. We literally could not have a conversation across the table. I would not go there on a weekend night again - perhaps it is better mid-week.

Been to A&L many times over the years and unfortunately this visit was far from the best. Very loud at 5:00 p.m. and we had trouble hearing one another and talking at our table. We had to send a shared 16oz bone in sirloin steak back as it was under cooked and had a large section of gristle through the middle. Second steak was better, but still not up to A&L standards, but we did not want to send it back again. My gin and tonic was flat but I did not complain. As always the waiter was very accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful.

The food and service were excellent. Bobbie was our waiter. He was very attentive, but not in a bothersome way. The food was cooked to perfection. A little pricey, but worth every penny. They really cram in a lot of tables and people in, but I requested a nice table, as it was husband's 60th birthday, and they had accommodated.

We have been to this restaurant several times and never had a bad meal.

I made a reservation for a business lunch. The service was great, the wait staff was very attentive and service was prompt.

The food was excellent. I had the beef carpaccio as an appetizer which came with a fried egg on top, which was a nice touch.

I also had the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries for my entrée.

Both my appetizer and my entrée were excellent. The beef was tender, juicy, and delicious.

My colleagues orders the fresh lobster salad, which I am told was excellent as well.

I look forward to dining here again.

One of our favorite type of restaurant to go to is a prime steakhouse. We have been to many Ruth's Chris, Mastro's, Fleming's type places over the years along with some independents thrown in here and there. Abe and Louie's fits well into that category. It has the usual prime cuts and large shared sides that you will find in other prime steakhouses. The difference here is that you will get an actual prime cut of steak as opposed to a sub par cut that quite a few of these places are serving these days. I don't know how these places are getting away with some of those cuts, but it's been very dissapointing the last few years.

I had the bone in NY and my wife had the grass fed filet mignon. Both cuts were cooked to perfection. I can honestly say these were some of the finest qaulity cuts we have ever had. They were evenly marbled throughout with little to no gristle. Very impressive. I also had the caesar salad which was wonderful with large shavings of high quality parmegiano-reggiano and a perfect dressing that was slightly creamy. My wife decided on the beefsteak tomato/blue cheese which was equally impressive. We chose the au gratin potatoes and unlike many steakhouses they were cooked to just the right tenderness and full of flavor. The star of the show, outside of the steaks, was probably the brown butter brussels sprouts. They were cooked just right, were simple and delicious. We were too full for desert!

The service was good and efficient. The atmosphere is classic steakhouse with dark wood paneling and all that. They do pack people into the place so expect that your seating may be a bit cramped.

Overall, this was probably one of the best steakhouse ecperiences we've ever had and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of food.

Very disappointing experience , meat was supposed to be medium arrived bleeding red , omelette was supposed to dry it me so loose u could see raw eggs flowing. Had to return both , instead of cooking New they just recooked it which made the taste so gross. Have been there several times and was so disappointed, everyone on the table had finished their meal wen we started ours. Wait staff was very attentive and was apologetic

Dinner for two on a Friday night. Abe & Louie’s is boisterous, but the food and service were good, and the wine prices are fair. Although it’s a steak place and has the model of a high priced entree and sides as a separate purchase, they split the very large Caesar salad into two (just the right size), and the shrimp and scallop risotto was delicious. I’d be happy to go again.

The salads were amazing. Excellent! Very large. We shared the salad and had plenty. The food was very good and the rolls outstanding! Main problem was that the noise level was way out of control. The bar was actually about a foot directly beside us, separated by a short glass patrician. Extremely loud. Not enjoyable.
