Abe and Louie's Boston Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed the company of two other couples for a New Years brunch. The waiter and service was very attentive. Most all enjoyed their meals...the crab cakes were unfortunately mediocre compared to previous visits...there was more filler and they tasted gummy - would not hold it against them as all else was good!
All the food was superb, as would be expected by the price range, décor, etc. I wish the waiter, a very nice gentleman, had explained that each side dish is MASSIVE, enough for 2 people. Also, I realize that these places make a lot of their profits on the booze, but $85 for a half bottle of cabernet sauvignon? It was a nice, nice wine ("call me Earl and not Alkaline"), but next time a glass will do. The steaks were fabuloso, also. Profitez-en!
Best dinner in Boston. Service was amazing and they did a great job on my daughter’s birthday. Highly recommend. I had the risotto and she had the filet. Loved that they will split appetizers, salads, and sides so you can try more of the menu. Split as in half the portion.
We were seated right away and they gave us a nice booth, which we had requested with our reservation. My husband ordered the Lobster Savannah. It was served in a large, deep oval dish and the lobster was swimming in cheese sauce and surrounded by large pieces of green pepper. I ordered the scallop and shrimp risotto. The risotto was very good but the scallops were somewhat overdone but very tasty. The one bright spot was our waiter who was very attentive, very friendly and helped to make the night more pleasant. All in all, I could not recommend this restaurant. For the price of the meals, it should have been much better.
We enjoyed a family get together after Christmas. Shane was our wonderful waiter. He was very attentive and provided good conversation. The hot buttered rolls were delicious. The onion soup is the best! Mac and cheese was amazing. Creme Brûlée is outstanding. Everyone loved their steaks and meals. Thank you!
P.S. Please bring back the hot fudge sundae.
We dined here on Christmas evening. The staff made the evening extra special. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant we received warm greetings -- and, despite arriving early, were escorted immediately to a table. The food was fantastic and the service very attentive. Everything from the appetizers to the desserts was delicious. Totally worth a visit!
