Our waiter Evan was fabulous from beginning to end. Everything was hot and delicious. Visiting from New York, and we were very happy with our choice.
Main dish was fine, asparagus side dish undercooked, espresso coffee was cold when it got to the table, bread was never delivered to the table, overall a mediocre experience
Great grill and seafood
A sommelier provide appropriate advice to select vine
great service and the food was excellent, will definitely go back again
I have been coming here for years. But the last 4 times, the food is just average. The size of the portions are huge, but the attention to detail is missing. I asked for crispy bacon with my lobster BLT and it came out hardly cooked - soggy and fatty.
Salads lack creativity and flavor. And even though our waiter was trying hard, the wait time was over 30 minutes for lunch.
Not sure I will be back.
We were 15 min late and they hold the table for us. Thank you!
I had lunch on a Saturday. Made reservations and I’m glad I did. The food was superb, as was the service. Highly recommend!!
Great atmosphere, sensational steaks, delicious sides and wine. Traditional bustling steakhouse with good service. Noisy but fun.
Excellent meal-traditional steak and seafood done well. A bit dated but high quality and flavorful steaks.
Jeffrey and the other members of the team made my dining experience wonderful.
When I lived in Boston I would go to Abe & Louie's at least once a week, mainly to eat their wonderful Prime Rib. Even after I left Boston in 2000 I would find reasons to go back, again mainly to enjoy the Prime Rib. On this, my most recent visit, I was dismayed to find that Prime Rib is no longer on the menu! The other entree's were good, but no outstanding. There are now many steakhouses in Boston and there is nothing on the menu that distinguishes this restaurant from all its competitors. Add to that the annoyingly loud background and the closeness of the tables, I"m afraid there is no longer a good reason to go back to Abe & Louie's.
Service was great. The Delmonico was not up to standards.
Food is all ways very good. The best steak is bone in filet. One person in our party ordered her steak med- rear and it came out medium. Manger came over and took it off the check. Kudos to her!
This restaurant has the best filet minion around. Crab cake app is to
I’m from the Chicago area and this was very reminiscent of a Gibson’s atmosphere, but cozier and livelier. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind. The food was excellent - I had gotten a cup of the clam chowder (a must) and the halibut on special - both mine and my friend’s meals were excellent, I only wish I had more room in my stomach to keep on eating. We sat in Kevin’s section, he was fun and had the classic Boston charm. The restaurant is pretty noisy, but that sort of thing doesn’t bother me. If I’m ever back in the area I’ll be back, and I’ll certainly recommend it to other friends and family!
Went with my husband and another couple to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we couldn't have had a better time. The staff was great, very accommodating and friendly, but especially our waiter Bobby... he was the best!!!!! Food was outstanding. We will most-definitely return. Highly recommend.
As usual the service and food were spectacular. Always look forward to having my business dinner at Abe & Louie’s. Our waiter also recommended a great wine for our small group.
Our absolute favorite because of the entire experience. They were extremely accommodating with my dad because he walks with a cane. Can’t say enough. Will definitely return
I have zero complaints, food was excellent and so was the service
Excellent lunch experience. Our server was attentive and let us visit without rushing us out.
The meat was absolutely great ! I had a NY sirloin which was juicy, tasty, ... The burger was also gorgeous, one of the best I ever had
This restaurant never disappoints. Excellent service and the food is absolutely delicious.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was deliicious
My 75th birthday. Great place to celebrate it. Wait staff was on their toes.
Me and my GF order filet mignon, one for each, and the mac and cheese and everything was amazing! The meat was super delicious and the waiter was amazingly nice to us at all times. Definitely coming back to try more of their plates.
As always exceptional food and service.
Great meal , fantastic service
Great food . l Nice atmosphere and good service. Our table was nice.
We had tickets to a late afternoon concert at the BSO and opted for Abe it was cooked to perfect medium rare and was buttery and delicious. At the end of the meal, we were surprised and delighted when our server brought us a complimentary dessert in celebration of our anniversary, a large slice of intensely chocolate cake with a side of vanilla ice cream. Heavenly! Aside from a very minor hiccup (we had to ask for our bread basket), service was excellent and very professional. We love the vibe, the well-prepared unpretentious food, the service and the ambiance. We’ll be back!
This was our second time here and it was fabulous. The service is impeccable and the food was outstanding. My husband and I make a yearly overnight trip to Boston every October and we will definitely be dining at Abe & Louie’s again next year.
As always. Great service , outstanding food. This is an iconic Boston restaurant you should definitely put on the list when in Boston.
Abe & Louie's never disappoints. Steaks are done to perfection. Sides are large and excellent. Server was everything I hope for...friendly, there when I want him and not there when I don't. Sure, I'd like the check to be a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
Definitely i would recommend and Go back
Service, wine, and food were all amazing!
Dinner at Abe and Louie's with friends in from out of town. Never disappoints. Food was fantastic. Bacon with blue cheese, crab cakes, and carpaccio to start. All great choices and recommended by our waiter Blady, who was a total rock star! Had been a while since our last visit and glad we chose to come back. Better than ever and great choice if you are looking for a great experience in the Back Bay.
All went well except for the fish I ordered was served as steak. It was quickly resolved and the dinner ended without any further issues.
We enjoyed the evening.
The clam chowder was outstanding maybe best ever and the cream corn was delicious.
We eat steaks all across the country from A5 wagyu to regular and the Australian wagyu we had there was 1 out of 5.
There other steaks maybe outstanding but that one was not. To be fair it is really thick and always harder cooking those ones.
Good as usual
Steak was cooked to perfection.. best steak I’ve had in a long time. Good service. Quite noisy tho
