Abe and Louie's Boston

Everytime I go ti Boston I go for the roasted cauliflower which is my favorite, however this time was not as always, maybe to buttery. Lunch is extremely expensive, it is kind of the same price we would pay for dinner. But definitely a Boston fave
First time visit for a first date and everything was spectacular. Welcomed , seated immediately, food was beyond perfect . Our server made the experience memorable , and the live music was a beautiful touch .
Nothing Special. Work staff where very nice and efficient. But the place is nothing special food is overpriced. I would not go back.
Alway wonderful. Don’t miss those sweet potato French fries!
I am fan of the service. I am a loyal customer who will continue to return. Great job staff
Fantastic dinner. Waiter was super attentive & reassured one of our party with Celiac that “the chef is aware & just wants you to relax and enjoy your meal”. So nice and delicious!!
Atmosphere was perfect for a date, seating was comfortable. The food was not cooked as ordered. And due to the volume of customers being served, there was minimal attention paid to our individual needs. It wasn't until over 30 minutes had passed that we were able to report the under cooked meat.
Had a great time. Drinks made right, staff were friendly and despite being busy were considerate and great sense of humor. We had steaks that were spot on accurate for temperatures and great flavor.
Can’t wait to go again.
My daughter and I had a wonderful diner there after seeing a play at the nearby Lyric Stage. We both had clam chowder and she had filet mignon, while I ordered lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious, and the service was friendly but not overbearing.
The restaurant was busy at 5:40 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with a comfortable atmosphere, upscale but not stuffy.
Good place for a great meal on a special occasion.
We had a phenomenal experience at Abe & Louis this time. For cocktails I had a strawberry gin cocktail and hubby had a gin & tonic - both were well-balanced and very tasty. For an appetizer, we chose the special which was shrimp & scallops wrapped in bacon with a cauliflower puree - heaven!
For dinner, we each had fillet -- I had the 8oz, hubby had the 10oz - both were perfect medium rare plus and so flavorful, with mashed potato and grilled asparagus. Delicious with a Rodney Strong cabernet.
Our server, Anthony, was great - he let us pace the meal, was attentive but not too much, we never felt rushed even though it was a busy Friday night.
Overall, a perfect night out -- we hadn't tried Abe & Louis for a while, it is definitely back in the Back Bay rotation of restaurants!
It was very cold , temp, by the windows. Bring a sweater. The food is always good
We always plan on Thanksgiving dinner Witt my family and drive from Providence
Been coming here for over 15 years
you used to be our favorite restaurant..go to place. awful everything on thanksgiving dinner bad food, table, waitstaff and we were freezing. never again. kma
Great place to gather for Thanksgivng! Food was wonderful...the table next to us with screaming children that the parents were ignoring...not so much. Oh well....
I've had better steaks (and service) at local sports bars. Food quality was nowhere near comparable to Capital Grille, Strega or other local premier options. Very disappointing, will not return.
We truly enjoyed our recent Thanksgiving dinner! The food was superb & the staff was welcoming. I appreciated that it was a very traditional Thanksgiving menu & not some "clever spin" on a meal that's worked for generations. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even so, my dining companion broke tradition & had a perfectly cooked steak...he was glad he did. I'll be back just for the creamed corn!
Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Our waiter Conrad was outstanding, patient, and on top of everything. All 3 courses were delicious, but especially the dessert was outstanding. Would suggest the skillet cookie or cheesecake.
We came for Thanksgiving dinner with my parents and our daughter very enjoyable . Turkey dinner was delicious! As always the service and food was excellent.
Love this restaurant and one of the reasons aside from fabulous food and service is the atmosphere. We booked for a table of 10 and were seated in the lower level in a private function with another large party at the table next to us. We were disappointed and wished they had informed us. It’s just not the same as sitting in the main or upper level.
Cena con mi hijo
Sadly, the food was highly disappointing! The only saving graces were the sirloin steak, steak tartare, the filet mignon and the bay scallops appetizer with squash ravioli. Most of the dishes were tasteless, including the sliced Ahi tuna, blackened halibut, chicken, bone in ribeyes, and side dishes like the cold French fries, completely bland string beans, and passable Brussels sprouts. We were tight for time, and since we were celebrating a big birthday with a large party, we were promised the chocolate cake and cheesecake to go. When we got home we noticed that the cheesecake was missing.
Always a wonderful experience & our dinner here every Tuesday before Thanksgiving has become a lovely tradition! One of our favorite things about Thanksgiving time in Boston!
As expected, Abe & Louie's food and service are phenomenal! Not the place to go if you are looking for "value" in the traditional sense...its more the kind of place to go when you want to pamper yourself...
Kevin made our experience wonderful. He’s professional and friendly at the same time. He gave us excellent service. Dinner was excellent better than it’s been in the past.
Our waiter is very nice
Hostess was not welcoming. Felt food was good but overpriced.
Wonderful family reunion. Service was excellent. Food was great.
The service and food were incredible. We will definitely return next time we are in town.
Our meal was exceptionally good — the bone-in ribeye was among the best we’ve ever had. Our server was wonderful and gave exactly the right amount of attention so we were never left waiting long but weren’t frequently interrupted from enjoying our anniversary dinner. The one sore spot was as we were winding down: the sides are relatively pricey and we’d only finished less than half of ours, intending to take it home to enjoy later. A man came to clear the table and, without asking, stacked our bread plates on top of our unfinished food. When we expressed surprise, he asked if we still wanted it. We said no, since it was smushed under a used plate. He said he’d get a fresh one and we thanked him. Just took it out of the fridge and it’s unmistakably the original side. Not the worst thing and we still enjoyed the meal, but a kind of shocking moment alongside otherwise excellent service and value. Since there are other restaurants of similar caliber, it might be enough to make me rethink our next special occasion.
Great place to dine. Steak was not the best we've had compared to other steak houses in Boston, but still good!
My daughter was I town from South Caroline and I wanted to take her somewhere special. She enjoyed the experience.
The food was spectacular! I had the lobster Mac and cheese and there was no shortage of lobster.
Amazing food great service, got the porterhouse for two, one of the best steaks we’ve ever had!
We were celebrating one of our employees leaving. We had the bacon appetizer which is one of the best things ever. Then a combination of different delicious steaks and one tuna steak. Always highly recommend Abe & Louie’s.
As always the blackened Bone-in Ribeye was perfection with a side of Bearnaise. We ended up sitting at the bar to dine and the two bartenders were awesome. This place is consistently amazing and is the BEST steak house in Boston.
Delicious food and wonderful service! We got the grass fed filet, aged ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Only thing that didn't live up to the deliciousness of the other food was the brussels. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable - they helped us choose a lovely red wine for our meal that paired nicely both with the meat and the dessert. A wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary!
the steak was average and therefore was overpriced
Good food. My 9 year old and I really liked it.
Beautiful evening with my husband. The waiter was excellent.
This is the best food we have had in quite some time. We dine at the higher end restaurants regularly, and Abe and Louie's exceeded our expectations. I have already booked my 50th birthday with them!
