We met Ella at the entrance who started the night out very positive with her personality and experience in seating seven for dinner
Ella sat us at Table 70 with Kevin and Mohamed who provided excellent service and were always there when needed
Our glasses were never empty !!!
Can not wait to return
Awesome Awesome Awesome 🤙
Simply amazing! Best Steakhouse in Boston, the bone in Rib Eye it´s spectacular
Food and drinks are always wonderful and it helps when you get a great server, great personality!
High quality establishment. Beautifully cooked steak (Filet Mignon) with tasty accompaniments. Great wine selection from reasonable to expensive prices.
Service was very good and the waiter knowledgeable.
On the pricey side but that was in relation to a conversion from USD to GBP.
Overall, a very good restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.
Fantastic experience. Exceptional service (Sam, our waiter was terrific), and exceptional food. Can't say enough. We will be back.
Our annual family Christmas dinner is almost always here. Food and atmosphere are terrific. Wine prices are high but that seems to be true across most steakhouses.
Great food, drinks and service. Highly recommended.
This place is always delicious. Through no fault of the restaurant, Sunday brunch brings out lots of families with screaming children which is not a plus when dining at a more expensive restaurant. Add to that parents who need to walk their children up and down the aisles while the servers are bringing out hot plates and moving. Will probably opt for the later dining times in the future to avoid the irresponsible parents.
Felt a little put off by the hostess but the server was fantastic. We went for brunch and had the trio of Egg Benedict (steak, crab & lobster). The lobster could have been slightly warmer and the eggs also for my tastes, but otherwise the flavor was outstanding.
The food and service are always consistent and excellent. Our waiter was excellent and took really good care of us. Matt the bartender was very attentive and made sure we were well taken car of during our short wait for our table. Love this place and can't wait to return.
Restaurant isnt usually very noisy but our table was by the bar.
Always great food and great service
Excellent food and service as always!
The service was excellent as Matt, the waiter, was very attentive and helpful. My girlfriend’s ahi tuna was excellent and a good portion (as it should’ve been) for a $40 entree but mine, a 16 oz NY sirloin was smaller than it should’ve been for $53.00. Overall, the total experience was very good and while a larger steak would have been nice, we were satisfied with it.
Great food - great service- best restaurant in the city
Food was great and very attentive service.
We had a great experience at Abe and Louie's. Our server was very personable, the food was delicious, and the ambiance felt social, but not overwhelmingly loud. We'll be back!
Our Food, a porterhouse steak for 2 , was not a “wow “ thing. I have had better tasting. Food was very over salted. Also, kind of disappointed that beef is corn fed . They Should look in to offering organically raised and grass fed . Service was good, but our table for 2 was crowded and my chair was basically in the middle a very busy corridor to the kitchen.
I have been to this restaurant several times. It is always a place that we seek out for the steaks but the prices are high , maybe too high and they do not have modestly priced wines. It is also loud and unless you are on the sides it is too hard to have a conversation.
Wonderful experience for my wife’s 50th Birthday. Food and service were impeccable as usual. Clam Chowder is incredibly smooth and creamy. Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked with a nice hint of seasoning. Au Gratin potatoes were a great side. At the end, our server brought over a very large complimentary slice of chocolate cake with a birthday candle and vanilla ice cream. The cake was incredibly thick and rich. Abe & Louie’s continues to be our family’s favorite place for special occasions
Great food and service but very loud and the tables were very close to each other, at least where we were sitting.
Everytime I go ti Boston I go for the roasted cauliflower which is my favorite, however this time was not as always, maybe to buttery. Lunch is extremely expensive, it is kind of the same price we would pay for dinner. But definitely a Boston fave
First time visit for a first date and everything was spectacular. Welcomed , seated immediately, food was beyond perfect . Our server made the experience memorable , and the live music was a beautiful touch .
Nothing Special. Work staff where very nice and efficient. But the place is nothing special food is overpriced. I would not go back.
Alway wonderful. Don’t miss those sweet potato French fries!
I am fan of the service. I am a loyal customer who will continue to return. Great job staff
Fantastic dinner. Waiter was super attentive & reassured one of our party with Celiac that “the chef is aware & just wants you to relax and enjoy your meal”. So nice and delicious!!
Atmosphere was perfect for a date, seating was comfortable. The food was not cooked as ordered. And due to the volume of customers being served, there was minimal attention paid to our individual needs. It wasn't until over 30 minutes had passed that we were able to report the under cooked meat.
Had a great time. Drinks made right, staff were friendly and despite being busy were considerate and great sense of humor. We had steaks that were spot on accurate for temperatures and great flavor.
Can’t wait to go again.
My daughter and I had a wonderful diner there after seeing a play at the nearby Lyric Stage. We both had clam chowder and she had filet mignon, while I ordered lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious, and the service was friendly but not overbearing.
The restaurant was busy at 5:40 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with a comfortable atmosphere, upscale but not stuffy.
Good place for a great meal on a special occasion.
We had a phenomenal experience at Abe & Louis this time. For cocktails I had a strawberry gin cocktail and hubby had a gin & tonic - both were well-balanced and very tasty. For an appetizer, we chose the special which was shrimp & scallops wrapped in bacon with a cauliflower puree - heaven!
For dinner, we each had fillet -- I had the 8oz, hubby had the 10oz - both were perfect medium rare plus and so flavorful, with mashed potato and grilled asparagus. Delicious with a Rodney Strong cabernet.
Our server, Anthony, was great - he let us pace the meal, was attentive but not too much, we never felt rushed even though it was a busy Friday night.
Overall, a perfect night out -- we hadn't tried Abe & Louis for a while, it is definitely back in the Back Bay rotation of restaurants!
It was very cold , temp, by the windows. Bring a sweater. The food is always good
We always plan on Thanksgiving dinner Witt my family and drive from Providence
Been coming here for over 15 years
you used to be our favorite restaurant..go to place. awful everything on thanksgiving dinner bad food, table, waitstaff and we were freezing. never again. kma
Great place to gather for Thanksgivng! Food was wonderful...the table next to us with screaming children that the parents were ignoring...not so much. Oh well....
I've had better steaks (and service) at local sports bars. Food quality was nowhere near comparable to Capital Grille, Strega or other local premier options. Very disappointing, will not return.
We truly enjoyed our recent Thanksgiving dinner! The food was superb & the staff was welcoming. I appreciated that it was a very traditional Thanksgiving menu & not some "clever spin" on a meal that's worked for generations. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even so, my dining companion broke tradition & had a perfectly cooked steak...he was glad he did. I'll be back just for the creamed corn!
