It's a great place for a special occasion or your to use your expense account.
Went here for dinner with my mom. Food was very good. I order the aged ribeye . The ribeye was good, but inconsistent. I ordered it medium. Some parts were well done. I still enjoyed the steak though. The tables are very close together on second floor. More space between the tables would of been preferred. Order the butterscotch bread pudding for dessert. Really good! Overall, it was a good experience. 4 stars
Excellent filet with lump crab and Hollandaise with grilled asparagus Service was good but noise level was disconcerting to say the least.
Desert was amazing- butterscotch bread pudding.
I would go back with to celebrate with a group of friends or a last-minute date night idea. Not an ideal spot for a special occasion such as an anniversary dinner. I requested roses to celebrate an anniversary. I didn't suspect they would be able to fulfill the request, but I was hoping for at least a phone call to let me know they weren't going to fulfill the request. taking into consideration the cost to dine here, I would expect a special request to at least be reviewed and responded too. This is in no way a reflection of the service provided at dinner. The food was amazing. The staff were well informed and were extremely polite. The servers, all three, were attentive. We left a 25% tip.
The food is great except the steak is a little overcooked.
Only negative was that we were seated at table next to bar and there were very loud obnoxious intoxicated people making it difficult for us to have our own conversation
Quality, service, and atmosphere in a very traditional and classic setting. What’s not to like?!
This was our second time In this restaurant and it was better than the first food still fantastic and the service was great when we visit Boston again we will certainly return
Busting Boston and found this gem. Neighborhood is awesome. Food and service outstanding. Pricey but worth it. Highly recommend.
This is our "go to" restaurant when we visit Boston. They continue to have great food, outstanding location, superior service, and a terrific selection of very high quality.
As a global traveller from London UK and also widely within the United States the 24 Oz ribeye steak that I had last night was probably the best ever. I’m a big fan of the Palm chain of steakhouses in the US and Abe and Louie’s comfortably match them. Can only praise this establishment as outstanding. I’ll be back
Great special occasion place to celebrate birthday or anniversary, etc. Great food and drinks and incredible service
Great steak house. The Chef is amazing. Can't wait to come back. Keep up the great work!!
Absolutely the best grass fed bone in Rib Eye
Everything tonight was amazing.
It was a lovely evening and our server really helped me make it a special night for my newly minted PhD boyfriend =)
My husband and I both ordered the Wagyu beef and it did not taste like Wagyu beef. Hi We’ve had Wagyu beef on a few separate occasions and can tell the difference. The service was good but I would not spend $70 on that steak again. The Capital Grille Wagyu is amazing.
Very good meals. Mild distraction with the service. But no complain.
Absolutely phenomenal steaks were awesome, fries and desert thumbs up.
Great spot for a good drink and steak and sides. If you eat at the bar the bartenders are great.
Consistently excellent. Always have a memorable experience. We eat there every time we stay in Boston. Wouldn’t be normal trip if we did not stop here.
Herbert was nice but could’ve been more attentive. Food was very very good. 3lb lobster is a monster!
Fabulous - an incredible evening!
Loud and tight.
Always a great time. Brought my son for first time. Visiting colleges in Boston. Def recommend!
Everything was incredible. Our waiter Nick was great. From the beef carpaccio to the onion soup, the steaks, the sides and the creme brulee, it was all amazing! Thanks for a great night.
Abe and Louie’s never disappoints. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Great food and Janice our server was fantastic
very good, expert, attentive service from Polly who is a true professional
Everything was great and the waiter knew his stuff!
Wonderful as always. The steaks never disappoint, and the seafood tower was something else.
Delicious brunch, all we expected.
Our first time to Abe and Louie's is most likely our last. Our food was average (my Salmon was horrible), one person in our party sent her steak back three times before the kitchen finally got it right. Drinks were good and appetizers were a much better quality than our main courses.
Our waiter was great. He brought them up to a three rating.
Abe and Louie's is one of my top 3 restaurants in Boston. Reservations were made through Open Table, and I noted that it was a special birthday for my husband. We sat upon our arrival at a nice table upstairs next to the window. It was a little chilly, but I had a wrap and was fine. My husband and I shared complimentary bread, and we ordered the Lump Crabcake, which although a tad expensive, never disappoints! Delicious, sweet, lump crabmeat. Yum. I ordered the 8oz filet medium rare, while my husband got the 10 oz medium well (don't get me started...). Both came perfectly prepared to our specifications, although his was a bit more on the medium side. I'm sure the cooks couldn't bring themselves to cook it more than that! ;) He loved it. I love the sweet cooked onions that were added on the steak plate - great compliment for the palette. We shared sides of garlic mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus with a side of hollandaise. Lastly, we decided to split the 7 layer chocolate cake. Pure heaven. When served dessert, we were told it was complimentary because of my husband's birthday. I hadn't mentioned anything other then booking the reservation several days earlier - such a thoughtful surprise. Overall, this is an expensive dinner, no doubt about it; but for special occasions and splurging for a phenomenal dinner, I would suggest this to everyone.
We were visiting Boston. My husband loves steak, I seafood. This restaurant was recommended. The food was good. I had the sea bass which was delicious. My husband said the filet was good but not the best he ever had. I thought the prices were on the high side
Absolutely awesome, everything was perfect . Great service by Conrad. Both steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious
Spectacular night! Great food and service. Waiter Shane and Sommelier Ben we’re friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
My family and I celebrated my fathers birthday on Friday night. Service was excellent. The NY sirloin I had was one of the best steaks I’ve tasted. We had garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli for sides which were superb. Definitely my go to spy in Boston for a special dinner.
Excellent food...attentive service-ample menu.
Enjoya ble in every respect!
We had delicious food and an excellent waiter.
Fantastic. One of the best Ribeyes I’ve ever had.
