Food was just ok. We waited 40 min for our reservation. Disappointing as my last experience was phenomenal start to finish.
Incredible food, atmosphere, and outstanding service! Have the crab toast and the mushroom pizza!
Trip to NYC
I was there for a business meeting and the server asked if there were any food allergies and my guest is allergic to gluten. However, the shrimp was fried in the same batter as another batter that had gluten and her meal had to be remade and due to the wait, we did not have time for coffee at the end of the meal.
Went to ABC Kitchen for lunch during a day trip to NYC. The wait staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I had the asparagus pizza and my husband had the crab toast and Hake dish. Both meals were delicious and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Because we were there for his birthday, they brought out the salted caramel and peanut ice cream dish for dessert - and that too, was amazing!
Amazing! Loved everything!
Stunning restaurant... delicious menu. Baby beet and yogurt salad and roast carrot and avocado salad beyond delicious. Decor stunning warehouse style. High Noise level annoying but would eat there again and again
Outstanding
Beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing.
My veggie burger was just fair. Not much flavor. Entree portions at brunch were very small. Nothing was or looked very appetizing.
Outstanding experience - visiting NYC and ABC Kitchen was highly recommended by several people.
ABC Kitchen lived up to all the reviews! Fabulous interior, wonderfully friendly staff and beautiful tables. I wished I had a larger stomach so that I could have tried everything. The homemade donuts were fabulous. The famous crab toast was as good as the reviews. The eggs benedict and the asparagus & goat cheese omelet were unreal! The sundae for dessert had a special twist with caramel popcorn. Exquisite! We will make this a main stay for Brunch every time we are in town!!
There we some flaws in the execution of some of the dishes. The mushroom pizza has an egg that is supposed to come runny it was over cooked all the way. Fish was salty.
ALL the dishes were chipped and when we complain they said the manager really liked it like that Really? What a surprise for a Jean Georges restaurant. I really dislike eating on chipped plates and I consider it non aceptable when you are paying to have a quality dinner. I think there is no more chef pride... they only care about making money...
We had a really great time!!! Overall it’s one of my favorite restaurants in NYC.
Amazing food! Went for Brunch and definitely recommend getting the biscuits with strawberry-thyme jelly...the only downside is you only get 2 per plate. Service was quick and friendly. The only negative for the entire experience was the noise level. It’s quite loud, which makes conversation a bit challenging.
Amazing flavors. Loved the Hake and crab toast. The Paloma is exceptional!
Excellent experience.
A little loud for conversation.
Brought out a special complimentary anniversary dessert for us!
Food: always delicious! Service: always fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive! A true dining gem, always consistently wonderful in all aspects!
Our highlights of our NYC trip
Abc Kitchen is always good. Great service, good food. Sometimes hard to get a rezzie but that's understandable
Focus on local ingredients and farm fresh food. Reasonable price for the quality of food offered.
It’s a lovely space, well executed dishes, fresh and seasonal. A little too much chilli exuberance in a salad dressing though. Service a little chaotic but friendly. We couldn’t hear each other which hastened our meal as we needed to get away from the din.
I had great expectations and was a bit disappointed to be honest. Friendly staff, nice environment and tables not too close together (in Manhattan!). However, the food was only solid, not exceptional. I was expecting something much better, I guess. The "sundae" for dessert and the drinks were the highlights. I just wish the main courses could have been as great.
Loved the feel if the restaurant food service but a little loud
A relaxed setting with innovative food - fabulous lunch spot!
Trendy and cute atmosphere but the dishes are not so good.
Good food(healthy), attentive servers
Todo muy bueno , moderno y bien atendiso
Lovely place but we were sat next to an air vent so it was very cold which spoilt it a bit.
It was my birthday and they exceeded my expectations .
Have eaten here several times for lunch and brunch. Great decor and food. Service is always the best! Always a safe bet for a great meal!
I am a huge fan of ABC kitchen. For some reason, it wasn’t up to par, maybe because it was a Sunday night. I had the hake that came out cold and was too fishy.
Service was amazing as always. They took the hake off the bill.
While the food was excellent esp. the lobster & sundae, disappointing that no GF pasta, pizza base or bread for a restaurant that claims to cater for all allergies. The waiter quite unhelpful and rude when enquiring about GF options. However worth a visit if you are lucky to get good service.
First time visiting and loved the place! The ambience, service and food were wonderful! I’ll recommend this to everyone!!
Sooo disappointed. Went Sunday for brunch. It was my first visit and was looking forward to it. The service was very nice, although slow (and a little snooty). The food was not great. I ordered eggs, was trying to be healthy. The omelette was SO SALTY and there was so much cream or butter in those eggs. I felt sick all day.
Perhaps server should advise about butter or level of butter.
I told her the eggs were over salted. She just said, sorry.
Not going there again!!
We came in for brunch, and it was a lively, but not overly loud crowd. Food was excellent! Great atmosphere and very conscientious service. The cheddar cheese biscuits; AMAZING!
Did brunch with friend. Excellent food, attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable service. If you like Eggs Benedict, then you should have it here. It's not a new-fangled spin - just the classic dish, done well. The biscuits are also delicious and the coffee is full-bodied. The ambiance was nice and I appreciate not having to yell across the table so that my friend could hear me.
Outstanding, wonderful food. Had to wait 20 minutes even with a 10pm reservation. Waiter was a bit stand off-Ish. These are small details given the exceptional food
Service from the beginning was friendly and courteous. The staff never rushed us to order nor to leave considering that it was well past closing time (3pm). The food was spectacular and when we informed them that we would be sharing a dish, the cooking team was kind enough to put our meals in separate bowls as to not inconvenience us. The crab toast was the hit of the show and the salted caramel ice cream dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes!
