Abby Park Ratings and Reviews
Friends and I made a reservation for 7:30 at Abby Park. We did not get seated until close to 8 PM and none of the staff apologized or acknowledged that we had been waiting. After ordering drinks we waited another ten minutes to get them and then ordered our meals. Our order consisted of a starter salad , two burgers and a dinner salad. We asked for bread and were told they were out but were trying to get more. Ten mins later we asked again and were told they still didn't have bread. Not even two minutes later other tables were brought bread. We then waited and eventually received some. Finally we received our meals at 8:55 PM. Mind you two burgers and fries along with a dinner salad with shrimp . The salad was small and had three SMALL shrimp . My friends and I do not complain but for a $21 salad, ridiculous. The truffle fries tasted like pickle juice, gross. Burgers were ok but for $17, Red Robin does a better job. The waitress who had somewhat avoided us started paying attention after we complained about the shrimp but it was a little too late at this point. Needless to say this was a terrible meal and we will not return .
Abby Park never fails to exceed our expectations! The food was delicious. We started with chicken lettuce wraps. A new favorite. My wine was delicious. The server helped me choose the right Savignon Blanc. She described it perfectly. I got a burger and it was delicious. My husband had the Vegan meal and loved every bite. The manager was so nice and welcoming. A perfect 10 all around. Can’t wait to go back
The food was delicious and the service prompt. It’s a family friendly restaurant and it got quite noisy sometimes, so I wouldn’t go there for an intimate dinner unless I’m seated downstairs. But the food was top notch. My fellow diner and I enjoyed every dish. We are definitely coming back!
This was our first time at Abby Park and we were very impressed. We had been wanting to go there for dinner as we were told great things about the restaurant. We started off sharing a Greek Salad. They split it on 2 plates and the dressing was light and delicious. I had the swordfish, which was excellent and my husband got the roasted codfish and enjoyed his meal as well. The manager came over to our table to ensure we were happy with our meals and service. Our server was great too. We will definitely go back.
Went for a very disappointing New Years brunch. Waitress took our food orders and did not write anything down which would be perfectly fine if you actually can remember the order. No one is expecting her to remember a group of 8 so grab a pen and pad. She had to come back to essentially re take our order and when the food came out it was a debacle. Everything was being auctioned off and our sides were all messed up. On top of that the waitress and support staff giving us the food were rude. Food was mediocre- short rib sweet potato hash was ok but I have never seen short rib in cubes before and it was dry. The breakfast pizza could have been cooked longer as it was very runny and soggy- 7-10 more minutes would have made a big difference. Drinks were good - loved the loaded bloody but at one point had to ask multiple times to see a drink menu then finally my friend just got up and grabbed one from the bar. Half the group is in the industry and we are normally understanding but the attitude of the staff was inexcusable. Tipping 20% on the bill was painful since it wasn’t deserved. Such a bummer because we had heard good things but overall left disappointed with our experience.
Our family is one-and-done with Abbey Park. We had reservations for New Year's Eve and were ushered down to a dark, sad room in the basement my teenage boys nicknamed "The Hobo Room" for all its atmosphere and location next to the restrooms. The menu we had looked at online earlier was stripped down for the night, taking away two popular options for us. The lettuce cup starters had no flavor, my youngest was served a slab of thick, dry prime rib that I had to saw apart in chunks between rest periods, and my wife had two bites of her baked cod before quietly pushing her plate to the side. The check came and we were never offered a dessert menu or even coffee. The only upside were the laughs we had on the drive home because of how terrible the experience was.
I was really pleased with this choice. My companion had the butternut squash ravioli, which she said was very good. I had the short ribs, which were excellent. I very much recommend for an appetizer the Gouda and jam. I could’ve made a meal just on that. The entrées are a little pricey, but well worth it. We were too full to have dessert. The dessert menu was a little limited. But overall we both had avery very good food. I recommend it.
We selected Abby Park as it was halfway between where my cousin and I were located and it was well reviewed. We had a very nice experience, from the initial contact by our waitress to take drink orders and explain the night's special to her attentiveness throughout the meal. The food was great - we ordered a couple of appetizers that were well portioned and tasty, and all had a salad for our main course. Totally filling and delish. I recommend Abby Park without reservation.
I had the scallops with lobster risotto and it was fantastic! My friend had the Statler chicken with risotto and he loved it. Our server Andrea was great; attentive, friendly and funny but not intrusive. I'll be back and would recommend it to anyone who loves good food.
I wanted to like this place. My friends all gave it decent reviews. The atmosphere is good, my waitress was amazing. The food was bad. for $23 the Guinness braised short-rib tasted like wet dog food and beer. I ordered the lobster Risotto with scallops and both items seemed to not taste fresh. My husband and i both cook well and were shocked that they charged so much for sub-par food. I wouldn't go back.
My friends and I had a pleasant get together at Abby Park this past Friday. Reservations on OpenTable made for no wait. Great bottles and glass wine options. Many food options, including vegetarian and gluten free. The owner (we assumed) came by and checked on our table several time, and our waitress was fantastic. Highly recommend a visit!
We were late because our theater engagement went well overtime . I tried calling restaurant directly but it went to voicemail . I did leave a message but not sure it was received. At any rate, when we arrived they could not have been more accommodating. Server, Kim, was lovely, food was excellent, and we were thrilled with our experience there .
We've established a tradition of Sunday brunches at Abby Park and keep going back because it keeps being so good. Great drinks to kick it off. Delicious food with ample but not overpowering portions. Excellent service. We, especially, appreciated that our dining partners got lost so were late but the staff understood and it was no problem. Thanks and we'll look forward to brunching again.
We made this reservation because we wanted to try a new place for dinner and were looking for something a little more upscale than the places we might normally go to. It was our anniversary and I booked the reservation a couple of weeks in advance to make sure we got a table for 2. When we got there (about 10 minutes prior to our reservation), the hostess brought us immediately downstairs. Since we had never been there, we followed her. She took us to a small, non-descript room with about 3 or 4 other parties - all with children, many of them young children. We were paying for a babysitter that night and wanted a romantic dinner for 2 and this room was not going to accommodate that. I calmly asked the hostess if she had a table for us upstairs. She said she did not, that this was all she had. I said, I made this reservation for 2 a couple of weeks ago. She said, sorry, this is all we have. I calmly said, maybe I could speak to a manager. I wanted to explain to him or her how this was our anniversary. She clearly didn't like this, but she brought us upstairs and told us to hang on. She put her head together with a gentleman who may have been a manager. They sat us upstairs in a table for two.
Appetizers, dinner, and dessert were wonderful.
The owner was walking around and being very hospitable. At the end of the evening, I thanked him for their flexibility with seating. And I explained that it was our anniversary and we had wanted to be seated upstairs. He said he just wished they knew that in advance. I found that nice, but since in the first place I hadn't known there was a downstairs seating option, I wouldn't know that would have been an issue.
So after a rough start, it was a very enjoyable evening and I look forward to returning.
Great venue for a small family bday party! Greeted warmly and seated immediately in a booth. Apps and meals were very tasty. Dasha paced the meal appropriately and checked with us frequently. Varied beer selection so everyone got their flavor. Topped it off with dessert, complete with candles and singing. Despite the noise level (business was brisk), it was wonderful evening...we'll be back.
