We went to Abby Lane for dinner before a show, and the food and drinks were delicious! I highly recommend the steak tips!
Excellent all around. Terrific food and bevs and really outstanding service. First visit but definitely not the last.
We had a great time pre-theatre. Excellent creative drinks and a waiter who was very good at helping us decide. This was an early show so it was not that crowded and we had wonderful people watching window seats. A very fun time. We just had appetizers but everything wad delicious.
Went for a pre-show dinner with kids. Cocktails were sub-par and menu was lacking. Everything looked good from a menu perspective, but when it arrived we were disappointed with everything. Fries were coated in something gross. Nachos were, too! Yes, that's right. The tortilla chips tasted weird and it's because they put on a coating (gluten on top of corn). Ahi tuna was too vinegary. Caesar salad was tasteless. Glad it was near the venue but never need to visit again.
Great staff, apps were okay, dinner was awesome. The table by the window overlooking the street was nice!
Quality bistro style food.
We had a pre-theater dinner at Abby Lane and were very pleased to have been seated in the second-floor dining room, which is more elegant and less noisy than the street-level dining room. Our server, Lily, was wonderful - friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The food was very good.
We enjoyed our dinner. The nachos were great and quite large. I had the tuna entree and it was very good.
It could be a coincidence but downstairs was all white patrons but my party and two others ahead of us were all seated upstairs. This was my first time dining here and the service and food were good. But upon walking back downstairs to leave we noticed that and it made us wonder the reasoning behind that.
We were running late and 20 minutes past our reservations. No problem, they had our table ready and sat us right away. Knowing we were going to a show our waitress was right on top of things making sure that we received everything we ordered in a timely manner. The food and drinks were amazing!
The food was really good. Decent drink menu as well. Discount if your seeing a show is a plus.
I hadn't been to Abby Lane prior to this visit, and ended up there twice in one day: once at lunch that was catered for an event we were attending, and evening for dinner with a client. Excellent food, great people and AMAZING drinks. Def going back.
Shrimp scampi had no flavor whatsoever. Shrimp and noodles..,,very bland!!!
Delicious food! Attentive service!! We were 15 minutes late for our reservation and we still were able to get seated
Took a little while to get our drinks, but once we put in our order, our drinks and food came promptly.
Friendly and fast service of creative dishes that were tasty and well presented
Best place to dine pre-theater.
I go to Abby Lane to get a meal before the theater. The service is quick, especially if you let your server know when you have to be out the door. Food is outstanding, although the menu is small. Salad was very fresh and meals were hot and tasty, and not your typical "meat and potatoes" options. An excellent pre-show choice, especially considering some other theater district options.
Great food and great atmosphere. Nice servers and a nice cocktail menu. Would definitely come again before a show or after work :)
There was a mix up on my end when selecting how many people were going to be in my party and once we got there I had to inform the hostess there were more people coming. I can not believe how rude the hostess was on Saturday, August 10. Everyone in the party was subjected to her rudeness and made us feel unwelcome. She continued to lecture us and told us that we are lucky we even got the table. And she said next time we were to visit, get it right. Well, THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME. It’s such a shame as I am a frequent visitor of Jason’s other restaurants and we were friendly with he and his wife as we were neighbors. I was appalled by the treatment we received. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone based off of the poor treatment we received. I get better customer service/ hospitality at the drive thru of a fast food restaurant. This was not a good look and did not live up to the expectations of one of Jason’s restaurants.
drinks were not strong- waitress was not attentive- food was expensive- donuts were dry- not big variety
The food was excellent and the service was terrific. Your dessert menu drastically needs an upgrade.
Great place to grab a few drinks and plates to share! The fish tacos were so good, over member of the party ordered seconds!
Came on a Monday evening for dinner with my sister, I had been to both Citrus & Salt and Buttermilk & Bourbon (the sister restaurants of Abby Lane) and am happy to report that Abby Lane is just as delicious! I might even argue that despite a more traditional menu, the meal portion sizes were much larger (and delicious), along with a more attentive staff! I will certainly be returning to Abby Lane!
The Clam Chowder has a great reputation however we felt their were very few clams and lots of potatoes. The nachos were good!
Good place to have lunch. Would consider other options for dinner.
Excellent value and food. Great location. Highly recommend.
Excellent! We went for a post theater birthday dinner celebration and everyone was extremely impressed. Every meal that we got was outstanding. Appetizers were fantastic and don’t even get me started about the donut dessert! Only downside is that drinks were pricey and just OK. Overall we loved it and will definitely go back!
Everything was excellent! I have to admit, though, we were bummed to find the Brie appetizer gone from the new menu. I hope it returns in the future. We will definitely be back, regardless.
Good value for the price. Not overly creative menu but fine. Service very good, very aware of need to serve people who are going to a show promptly.
We went to Abby Lane for an early dinner before a show. I made a reservation but at 5:30, it probably would have been ok to come in without one. A couple of people in our group were running late but the restaurant seated us anyway and didn't mind us having cocktails and waiting for the rest of our group. The cocktails were, overall, excellent. I had a pink lady and someone else had a shut the front door and we both enjoyed them. One person ordered a Happy Camper but didn't enjoy it, the hibiscus was too strong. She ordered a glass of wine and mentioned she didn't care of the cocktail and they took it off the bill which was a surprise and very generous. Everyone enjoyed their meals - several salads with grilled shrimp, and the mahi-mahi. They didn't mind doing a substitution of the side with the mahi as I don't care for avocado. A great experience, highly recommended.
Enjoyed the food. Great theater location. Way too noisy. Needs to consider sound absorbing materials. Had difficult time hearing across the table!
Great before theater place!
Excellent location if going to the Wilbur. Menu was varied. Drink was great (Margarita!) and a host of interesting drinks on the menu. Service was excellent and they were timely knowing we had a show at 7:00pm.
We had made in open table reservation as this restaurant was right across the street from the Wilbur theater we are we were seeing Randy rainbow that evening. The only time open was at 4 PM and the place was empty when we arrived and quite full when we left at 5:45. It was nice that they let us linger over our Jenin tonics, so probably made curried cauliflower and a tasty Fried chicken which they let us share.
My only complaint (s) were there water glasses were so old that they were worn around the edge just looking dirty. We asked for a replacement for them and they supply them however when we received our bar drinks, they were served in those same worn glasses. Despite a nearly empty dining room when we first arrived service was a bit slow, although pleasant and they did not seem to mind that we were lingering over the last of our drinks. By that time, the dining room had filled and it was incredibly loud that we had to shout to be able to hear each other across a small table.
Other than that, I would recommend Abby Lane for a casual bite prior to hitting the theater.
Food was outstanding! Menu was great as always!
Perfect location for the theater. Fun with windows open to the street in the summer. Our waiter was excellent and funny!! Definitely would go again.
The food was delicious! Best sangria we ever had. Our table had huge water stains so it just looked dirty, but that was the only negative. The atmosphere was great and food was delicious! Great service too!
