I went to a voce to catch up with a good friend of mine. The service was amazing, the waiter took really care of us and our desires for wine. The food was very innovative, the portions were were just right and we spent time to think about what we are eating and how the different ingredients taste together

Think A Voce has slipped a bit since Missy Robbins left. Columbus Circle has closed: will Madison be far behind?

A Voce used to be a favorite. However, over the last year I have been consistently disappointed with the E. 26 location (now their only restaurant). This was at least the third or fourth (and last) time I had an inexcusably bad meal. I was served a pork loin that was tough and tasteless. I will not eat at this restaurant again.

I have eaten at this place several times before and this time the menu was a disappointment.
Limited and not special.

I was very disappointed in the service at this restaurant. We were seated outside and it started drizzling so I our table was changed to under an awning. However, the awning was not opened. We had to request the staff to open the awning so we wouldn't get rained on. There appeared to be some hesitation. If this was the case, then they should have just moved us inside instead of over under the half opened awning. Just bizarre.

The food at A Voce is always wonderful. The service is gracious, and the lack of din/pounding music makes conversation with one's companion possible.

The food was very good and the portions were just the right size. There were no more than 7 tables of people from 7:30-9:00 on a Saturday night so any atmosphere was lacking.

The food, what there was of it was good, but seriously, the steak on the restaurant week menu was something of a joke, three smallish medallions is not a dinner.

I think the regular menu is great and the food quality is amazing. We went for Restaurant Week menu though and the portion was tiny. We both ordered steak and there only 3 slices of steak for main course. Otherwise everything was great.

The portions were really small for restaurant week menu. Also, be aware of the wine prices. We though we were looking at bottle prices, when they were only for half. In addition the Waiter heard we only wanted glasses and still charged for those in addition to the bottle. Was not a good experience overall. The one in Time Warner Building is much better. This place seem much more casual, no table cloth/etc..

Restaurant week menu was terrible. Tiny portion and it was almost a joke. If you are paying $42 I should have picked a regular entree.

This used to be my favorite restaurant. It was still good, and I would still gladly go back, but it wasn't as magical as it used to be. The beef tartare and eggplant appetizers were very good, the drinks were good, but the ravioli was unremarkable. The artichoke puree pasta was good.

We has a late reservation and were about ten minutes late. We felt completely unwelcome. The staff from the hostess who wandered around the empty restaurant aimlessly to seat us to the manager who offered us coffee but forgot were completely untrained. I've never written a bad review for a restaurant before. But this was such a spectacular failure. This location could completely unravel your brand if you don't put more care into building a team there to run it. As a lifelong NYer, I was utterly embarrassed.
