I went to a voce to catch up with a good friend of mine. The service was amazing, the waiter took really care of us and our desires for wine. The food was very innovative, the portions were were just right and we spent time to think about what we are eating and how the different ingredients taste together

Think A Voce has slipped a bit since Missy Robbins left. Columbus Circle has closed: will Madison be far behind?

A Voce used to be a favorite. However, over the last year I have been consistently disappointed with the E. 26 location (now their only restaurant). This was at least the third or fourth (and last) time I had an inexcusably bad meal. I was served a pork loin that was tough and tasteless. I will not eat at this restaurant again.

I have eaten at this place several times before and this time the menu was a disappointment.
Limited and not special.

I was very disappointed in the service at this restaurant. We were seated outside and it started drizzling so I our table was changed to under an awning. However, the awning was not opened. We had to request the staff to open the awning so we wouldn't get rained on. There appeared to be some hesitation. If this was the case, then they should have just moved us inside instead of over under the half opened awning. Just bizarre.

The food at A Voce is always wonderful. The service is gracious, and the lack of din/pounding music makes conversation with one's companion possible.

The food was very good and the portions were just the right size. There were no more than 7 tables of people from 7:30-9:00 on a Saturday night so any atmosphere was lacking.

The food, what there was of it was good, but seriously, the steak on the restaurant week menu was something of a joke, three smallish medallions is not a dinner.

I think the regular menu is great and the food quality is amazing. We went for Restaurant Week menu though and the portion was tiny. We both ordered steak and there only 3 slices of steak for main course. Otherwise everything was great.

The portions were really small for restaurant week menu. Also, be aware of the wine prices. We though we were looking at bottle prices, when they were only for half. In addition the Waiter heard we only wanted glasses and still charged for those in addition to the bottle. Was not a good experience overall. The one in Time Warner Building is much better. This place seem much more casual, no table cloth/etc..

Restaurant week menu was terrible. Tiny portion and it was almost a joke. If you are paying $42 I should have picked a regular entree.

This used to be my favorite restaurant. It was still good, and I would still gladly go back, but it wasn't as magical as it used to be. The beef tartare and eggplant appetizers were very good, the drinks were good, but the ravioli was unremarkable. The artichoke puree pasta was good.

We has a late reservation and were about ten minutes late. We felt completely unwelcome. The staff from the hostess who wandered around the empty restaurant aimlessly to seat us to the manager who offered us coffee but forgot were completely untrained. I've never written a bad review for a restaurant before. But this was such a spectacular failure. This location could completely unravel your brand if you don't put more care into building a team there to run it. As a lifelong NYer, I was utterly embarrassed.

Great wine list and service, the dishes were nice but small. Love the calmness and space between the tables. An enjoyable experience overall. I'm not sure why 20% gratuity was automatically added for a party of 4. We would have given that anyway, but I think it'd be much better to let the customer decide.

Sad to see a once flourishing restaurant losing its bearings. Menu and preparations totally lack the originality and impact that put this restaurant on the map. Not even half full on a Restaurant Week Friday night, so the word is obviously out.

This was our first time dining at the A Voce Madison. Having been to the A Voce Columbus, this space is much smaller and a little dated. The food did not disappoint even though we were there during the Restaurant week. Every course was very tasty, perfectly seasoned. My dorade was crispy, the watercress soup was delicious, a perfect summer soup! The Rose wine recommended with the menu was very reasonable and perfectly fine. The service was very good, our server attentive.

We love this place, and have been coming here (and to the similar A Voce @ Time-Warner). Its former sous-chef is now the owner and cooking star at Lilia's in Brooklyn, and the new chef here is still turing out wonderful first and second courses. The service is always professional and yet friendly.

Food was decent but service was terrible. There was just such an over all sense of arrogance that permeated the room. Over priced for the very small portions you receive and for the non existent service. There are so many wonderful other choices in the neighborhood. If you are looking for stellar service, excellent food try Upland down the street.

I have dined at A Voce Madison three times before, the first two times the food was excellent and the third time it was somewhat disappointing, that was about six years ago. The food isn't rustic anymore nor was it tasty, the sauces were bland and hard to define. Though the staff were very nice and did their best to please me and my guest, regretfully, the food will not encourage me to return to this restaurant in the foreseeable future.

We've eaten there many times over a number of years. It's a short walk from our hotel and the food is always excellent. We've been there as a two-some, as a group and always been pleased. Had appetizers, entrees and desserts. Superb!

A Voce combines the welcome and familiarity of a neighborhood family restaurant with an always interesting and unique menu of Northern Italian-inspired dishes. I never leave NY without one or two visits "home" to A Voce.

I can honestly say that was the worst dinner I have ever paid for. The food was awful. The staff made us feel rushed. I would have cancelled if the fee wasn't $50 per person. And when we showed up only half of the restaurant was filled. Total waste of money and food. Would have been infinitely more satisfied with a slice of pizza on the streets of NYC.
