Great place for brunch.
Excellent meal with great service. Nothing more to add
Perfect place for brunch , quaint and cozy . I would have given 5 stars for the food , but the biscuits were really bland . The mussels were excellent and my friend loved the bacon.
This was our first visit back since the new owners took over and we were very pleased with the service and food. The chef offers an interesting menu and seems to be successfully creative with his twist on the various dishes. We will certainly return to ATH in the future.
Amazing experience. The flavors were amazing, surprising even. The octopus, mussels and crudo were memorable and the cod was delicate and flavorful
Definitely be back
We were there for brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely go back. The menu offerings are limited. The bacon hash and fried chicken sandwich were great. The biscuits and bacon were outstanding. It was a very nice brunch
I haven’t been back since new ownership. I absolutely love/d this place, from the quaint atmosphere, stellar service and outstanding menu. I was very disappointed in the menu this time; while I loved the choices of mussels and creative ‘daily specials’ ... both fell short. I’m not too sure I’ll be returning ;((
Me and my husband had a great night yesterday. We loved the authenticity of the food, the farmers to table philosophy, the nice and warm atmosphere.
I definitely reccomend it !!
Overall the experience was good. There were a few misses—over salted some of the dishes (and we love salt). Crudo was amazing however. Menu was limited with more surf than turf. Though the dishes were imaginative. Desert was underwhelming. We will try it again like we did the original and became regulars. I would like to be able to be a regular once again. We shall see
The food is exceptional. The Service is great. You made my wife who has Celiacs feel very accommodated by changing up some of the dishes to make them gluten free. I love the boutique feel of the restaurant as well and all the locally sourced food and farm to table approach. You guys are truly outstanding.
The food here never disappoints! The chicken and dumplings were AMAZING! I’ll come back here again and again.
The soups are amazingly good. The Irish salmon is perfectly cooked and delicious. We had the Parker House rolls for the first time...the best I have ever had! The clafoutis for dessert is not to be missed. The service is attentive and personal. This is one of the best restaurants in NJ.
Always a perfect meal.I have frequented this restaurant many times.
Great Sunday dinner! Looking forward to more to come.
Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, environment was cheery and bright despite it being dark and rainy outside, and the food was very good. Limited options so be sure to check the menu before coming here.
Nice staff. Excellent food
Prie fix menu resulted in mixed reviews. Chicken thigh was very good, salmon on romaine was strange doe tonwilted romaine leaf and onion accents. Cauliflower bisque was excellent. Desert average
I always enjoy dining there. Always consistent even with new mgt.
The menu change is so disappointing. I was really looking forward to the rabbit and crème brulée but was disappointed to see a new menu with very few selections. My steak was good and so was the sauce but the waitress then informed me there were two different sauces on the plate, one I hadn’t noticed. A green one made with pureeed anchovies. I hate fish and it put me off my meal. The dessert selection was mediocre at best. My husband’s dish was way too salty. The side dish was served lukewarm. We enjoyed our meal so much last summer but this time was so disappointing we will not be back. I overheard a few customers say the same thing.
Everything about A Toute Heure was amazing. The food was so fresh and tasty and our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Hello, The food was very good. The service not so much. One of the waiters was very Loud an kinda obnoxious. He was not waiting on us. Napkins were not folded when you returned to your table. The ladies we had taken care of seemed very tentative, like it was there first day working there. We had a late reservation so it was that that busy. Just not a good vibe. The bathroom garbage can was over following with soiled paper towels. For the money we spent, I believe the staff and the bathroom should have been a little better.
Don’t know if I would go back.
The tasting menu was innovative, interesting and delicious! We loved it!
Valentines dinner. Food was outstanding. I have not visited since the place was sold and I would say the food was better. Great job!
Consistently great.....love eating here....people I bring to sample this restaurant always leave gratified and impressed. Special place!
Delicious food. Try the lunch express to experience the soup, salad, entree and dessert. Well worth it! Dont go if 1 hr is your lunch time limit!!
Just plain restaurant now and nothing special. Wife had the chicken and dumplings which was very salty. I had the steak which was fine. Very limited menu. Dessert was delicious.
Everything was fantastic!
The staff was excellent and the food was amazingly delicious with creative used of local fresh ingredients.
Its was good
Food was delicious, service fantastic... Had a wonderful evening and highly recommend.
Where do I start? I dine out a bit and generally have an expectation of so-called higher end restaurants (this place is masquerading as one). Start with the food: it is not unique nor are the food combinations taseful. Every dish I was served was substantially over-salted masking the taste of the actual food. Start with the table bread - not home made, just mush and just bread, no garnishment or added oil butter or sauce, but tons if SALT. As for the appetizers and entrees - this included fish, Shishito peppers and Octopus. Strange presentations with flavors that don't mix, and the Octopus - covered in salty mashed potato? Really? And now the cosy - WAAAY overpriced for the lack of quality and the portions. Food here is equatable to a diner, except that you are charged three or four times what a diner charges. And finally server displayed a strong condescending tone all evening, could not sufficiently explain the dishes on a very small menu and neither could the young host. What a regret for an evening that was indicated in Opetable as a birthday dinner and of course, NO acknowledgement WHATSOEVER from the restaurant about the birthday. What a (bad) memory.
New chef- New menu. It was a small menu but everything we ate was hot and delicious. We will be back!
Service was excellent and food was good but not amazing for the price. Plus it was very loud. Previous owners only had small tables and 1 table for 6. New owners seem to accommodate larger groups which increase noise and lessens the intimate and relaxing atmosphere that was there previously.
This was our fifth or sixth dining experience at A Toute Heure. Again, as perfect as ever. The tone is set from the start with scrumptious bread and exciting fresh selections. This time we opted for an aged steak-for-two, with wild mushrooms, broccoli rabe and twice baked potato. As predictable as the sides sound, they were their own best versions, meeting and exceeding expectations. The meat was tender, aged-meat taste explosion, cooked exactly to our preference. Fabulous dinner yet again!
Great service and food!
Fantastic restaurant. Food is modern and excellent, with at least one dish for everyone's needs. Service was incredible and friendly. The ingredients are locally sourced and stated on one of the walls. Best of all, it's BYO so bring what you are in the mood for.
An absolutely amazing and delicious dinner for all four us. Our server Dana was excellent as well
A friend and I have been coming to A Toute Heure for about two years, always for lunch. There is a limited menu of interesting and absolutely delicious food. The service is personal and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Have been here several times over the past few years, always very good food and service.
On Saturday, 1/5/19, my wife and I visited A Toute Heure for the first time, but it will not be our last.
Every aspect of our dinner was outstanding: food, service, and ambience.
This chef turns out superb food from his open kitchen, and the concise seasonal menu contains excellent options for anyone. We shared an appetizer of seared octopus and a house salad. We both ordered the halibut entree, and shared the special dessert, a pineapple cheesecake. Every dish was superb.
Service too was top notch. We were warmly greeted by Dana, who informed us that Adam would be our server. And he was delightful. Affable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about this chef’s cuisine, he helped to make our night a pleasure.
We loved the small dining room and felt immediately at home. Ambiance is comfortable and designed to keep the diner’s attention on the excellent food. In addition, this BYO restaurant provides exceptional wine glasses for their customers, as good or better than we’ve had at far more expensive restaurants.
Our thanks to everyone for a wonderful dinner.
Certainly we’ll be back to A Toute Heure very soon.
