A Touch of Italy Ratings and Reviews
Great food we had oven brick pizza, and appetizers, Escarole soup and house salad, and we had everything from Spaghetti and Meatballs, fish, pork chops and peppers, eggplant parmigiana to 3 different veal dinner entrees. All of which was delicious. Specially good servicethey were very accommodating for we were a large family with ages from 1 year up . Very Family friendly
To start we weren’t very satisfied with the calamari. For $15 the portion was very small and not very good. We asked for it crispy and it was the total opposite. Otherwise, the steak was delicious as well as the seafood pasta my girlfriend ordered. Our waitress was very nice and prompt with requests.
Christmas Eve was spent at the Touch of Italy and it happens to probably be the fifth Christmas Eve we have spent there. The Maitre'd and the Hostess have always treated us very special - we are locals who frequent the place quite often. We order the Veal Parm with Penne pasta with garlic and oil and let it roll. The food is always hot, delicious, and just can't be beat. We had two Gimlets that were the best we had had in a long time. Keep up the good ork...we love you guys.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7PM on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was quite busy and very noisy. I was pleased that our party of 8 was seated at a round table. Although we could see each other, we could not really hear much of anything since the noise level was really high. The service was good for a busy night and our dinners arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The seafood ravioli (2) and shrimp fra diavlo (2) were very good. Other entries that hit the mark were the chicken parmigiana and filet mignon. The Ahi tuna special was also very good. The only disappointment was the Children's portion of buttered spaghetti. Very small portion for $10. Overall, it was very good, but pricey.
Excellent food and good value. One thing that always turns us off is when the waiter comes to you as soon as you sit down. Tonight I had just picked up the wine list when the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink. Come on folks...let us look before you jump on us, okay?
Servers and food are outstanding. Reservations and host service is very poor. When you have a reservation for a month for a special occasion, your a regular, you shouldn't hear "sorry we're really far behind in seating tables because we're really busy". The night doesn't start right when you need to fight for a table. Again, servers and food are always great.
Food is amazing, but too loud with music from bar overflowing into dining room. Bar crowd overflows into dining room as well. Not a cozy atmosphere for dinner and conversation. Could barely hear the company at my table due to background noise. Service is just ok. Takes too long to get drink refills or food and waitress disappears during service
We went to TOI before we went to a show is AC. No one was at the reception stand for about 3 minutes , doesn't sound like much but in a restaurant someone has always has to be there . That said it took 20 minutes for someone to come to the table. The Veal Piccata for $25 had only 3 small pieces of veal and just a handful of ziti. I would have been okay with $17 for this size portion. The flavor was just ok but not what you would expect for $25. My wife had the shrimp parmesan again small portion big price mediocre flavor. Overall as I say again and again when I review the restaurants we go to. I don't mind paying for good taste, decent portions and good service. I guess at the end of the day this is what we all want. I would probably give the joint another shot when I'm passing through but I won't go out of my way to go back.
My son took me for my birthday! The entire evening was enjoyable! We didn't have desert, but it looked Amazing! I've been there for happy hour before, and that's fun! They have a beautiful fireplace and I want to go back when it's cold and snowing! Food was great!
My boyfriend and I had a special dinner celebrating his road to recovery after a very bad accident. He wanted to go to A Touch of Italy. Lena and her staff were so nice to us and very accommodating. I had a great pizza and he had the best tuna steak!! And the Manhattan was perfect!
Always a great meal ! My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times , and every time we both leave saying , why don't we go here more often! Great wine choices , great dinner specials , I had the chicken sorrento and it was right spot on with a blend of sweet and salty !
