A Touch of Italy Ratings and Reviews
Food excellent, service was good, only problem was the bar was overcrowded and you couldn’t hear anything with the 2 pc band they had playing so everyone was screaming! Went there for a special occasion which was a bad idea on a Saturday i guess, if you do go for a date or special occasion ask to be in the front might be a lil quieter there, but for everyday dining it is good!
Everything was wonderful food was amazing. Except entire meal took around 2 hours. Everything was spread out even time wise just seamed a little long for a restaurant that wasn't packed but we where on a date so worked out. Had a nice long romantic dinner. And great desserts.
Everything was superb! The service and food could not have been better. They had a lobster special that came with homemade lobster ravioli that was outstanding! The owner even stopped at our table to ensure that everything was fine.
I highly recommend for great food and service.
Food was good but when I order Chicken Milanese I expect more than a plate with one piece of fried chicken cutlet. The broiled flounder was a lone piece of fish on a plate for $25. While it was prepared well, you expect "more" for that price. Our side for each dish was sautéed broccoli. It had not been sautéed as it was wet with the water it was boiled in and the stems were to hard to enjoy. The best meal was the brick oven pizza. It was a nice average personal pie. Ask for a martini with a wedge of lemon - got a vodka martini with lemon juice added.
We could have gone to the local diner, had the same meal and paid half the price.
I was very impressed with A Touch of Italy and will definitely go back. This wasn't my first time there however it always seems to get better every time I go. The owners are very friendly and often visit the table to check on things. We had a Margarita Pizza and sauteed calamari followed with Seafood Raviolis and their Homemade Lasagna. Everything was delicious!
Great food we had oven brick pizza, and appetizers, Escarole soup and house salad, and we had everything from Spaghetti and Meatballs, fish, pork chops and peppers, eggplant parmigiana to 3 different veal dinner entrees. All of which was delicious. Specially good servicethey were very accommodating for we were a large family with ages from 1 year up . Very Family friendly
To start we weren’t very satisfied with the calamari. For $15 the portion was very small and not very good. We asked for it crispy and it was the total opposite. Otherwise, the steak was delicious as well as the seafood pasta my girlfriend ordered. Our waitress was very nice and prompt with requests.
Christmas Eve was spent at the Touch of Italy and it happens to probably be the fifth Christmas Eve we have spent there. The Maitre'd and the Hostess have always treated us very special - we are locals who frequent the place quite often. We order the Veal Parm with Penne pasta with garlic and oil and let it roll. The food is always hot, delicious, and just can't be beat. We had two Gimlets that were the best we had had in a long time. Keep up the good ork...we love you guys.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7PM on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was quite busy and very noisy. I was pleased that our party of 8 was seated at a round table. Although we could see each other, we could not really hear much of anything since the noise level was really high. The service was good for a busy night and our dinners arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The seafood ravioli (2) and shrimp fra diavlo (2) were very good. Other entries that hit the mark were the chicken parmigiana and filet mignon. The Ahi tuna special was also very good. The only disappointment was the Children's portion of buttered spaghetti. Very small portion for $10. Overall, it was very good, but pricey.
Excellent food and good value. One thing that always turns us off is when the waiter comes to you as soon as you sit down. Tonight I had just picked up the wine list when the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink. Come on folks...let us look before you jump on us, okay?
