A Touch of Italy
Our Family Chef personally selects the freshest wild fish and creates made to order daily specials, as well as a tradition of great attention to detail with every appetizer, entree and dessert that we serve.
We are a long time South Jersey favorite, our family takes great pride in our food and service.
We welcome you to enjoy a true Italian dining experience, and to become part of our family.
The veal is the best you can get anywhere it is pounded very thin are waitress Becky was excellent I would recommend this Restaurant in a heart beat
Our meal was excellent food is always great veal is the best you can find anywhere
Food was bland. Service slow. Sat on a bridge chair. Table was so close to the swinging kitchen door. Tables so close together that one of my guests hair was pulled every time someone passed
This was not our first time at The Touch of Italy. We had a good time and the food was outstanding. When we first got to the restaurant, we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. This was due to the New Year Eve reservation schedule. When we first sat down, the nose level was at the point, were we could not hear each other talk, but the nose level did get better after about an hour. All in all, we did have a good time.
Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent - our server (Becky?) was very attentive and we never had to ask for water refills.
Food is consistently good here. It was New Year’s Eve and even with the crowds we had a really good meal and service. The halibut was excellent.
Service was great. Food was good limited menu on new years eve. Will defiantly go back for full menu
New Year’s friends get together. 4 out of 5 meals were great.
Sister’s 50th Birthday
I visit this place when traveling in the area, it is a must eat here for us. The service and food is very consistent and just what we like. We will be back when in the area.
Another awesome meal here. One of our “go to” spots. Definitely one of the best in the area.
Pasta was cooked perfect the Alfredo sauce was bland, chicken (witch is an up charge) was a processed chicken breast that was microwaved.
Other dish served at the table was penna in a blush sauce, pasta once again was cooked perfect, Added chicken to that dish as well and it was the same exact as mentioned before.
2 meals, 1 draft beer, no apps or desert was $65.42. For the quality of the food way over priced. The restaurant was clean and staff was polite. It was our first visit there and we were looking forward to a great Italian meal. instead we got a slightly better version of a frozen microwaveable meal that you can purchase at the frozen section of a grocery store.
The food was a little cold but still good. The hostess weren’t very helpful when we asked how long the wait time was going to be. They said reservation only and didn’t asked if we wanted to make a reservation like they were all booked up. After walking out I took a chance and looked on open table and seen there was plenty of availability. We made a reservation and then came back in to have dinner. If we hadn’t checked on open table then we would of had dinner somewhere else. It was a poor business move by the hostess. I would say I’ve been here many times and the hostess aren’t the best. I’ve had poor service here a few times but overall the food and the experience is usually good.
Great food, excellent service. Even though it was Christmas Eve and completely crazy we were seated on time and our service was not lacking attention at all. Menu for the occasion was very good also.
Christmas Eve with Family
We love it here and usually love our Christmas Eve dinner here as well. Sadly, this year was just average. I ordered the fish salad solely because it had cod in it, a tradition in my family. My serving was 90% squid and I got no cod. It was so busy that by the time our waiter came to check on us I had eaten the salad because I was hungry. Shrimp bisque was watery and lacked sherry, seafood ravioli were frozen ravioli with a sub par sauce. Truly NOT up to par for touch.
I spent Christmas Eve dinner with my family here and it was outstanding. The food was well prepared and the wine was outstanding. Our service was flawless. Great experience all around.
Seated quickly. Server was very knowledgeable and cordial. Food was excellent.
Best Italian food!
Honestly, You should have some kind of dress code session... And a speedy waitress...To whom they are delivering the food to.
Our group of friends wanted a quiet place where we could have a nice conversation, yet good Italian food, and ambiance. We decided to try Touch Of Italy on a Friday night around 8:30pm. It hit all the marks!
We often fun here and always enjoy it. It is decorated beautifully for Christmas every year!
Service was really bad. Waiting 15 mins before we were greeted by the server, then another 10 for drinks and even longer for bread that was ask for 3 times. We've been going here for 30 years and it's never been this bad.
So good for family celebrations. Food outstanding...our 10 & 12 year old grandchildren go with the regular menu now! We look forward to our next visit! Also love our special night outs..just the 2 of us!
Though high-priced, the food was delicious. We waited a long time for water, to order, food, etc. and it wasn't super busy. Has a super cute and cozy atmosphere and the wine was yummy!
Excellent food and service. Management very nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
1st I opened the menu and it was inundated with food, enough to fall out into my lap. I had to take it to the host to get one without food. He apologized. No worries. Waitress came after a little bit. Service was fine at that point. The room they sat us in was cold, and closed off from the main room . We were a party of 3. Another table in the room had a party of 5. Same waitress for both.
Then the only other table in the room was seated with a party of 12, same waitress. At that point anything we needed became a long wait. This waitress received no help from any other staff member. She not only had the 12, 5 and us but a deuce in the other room, it was ridiculous how she had to juggle all that herself. Bottom line , 3 people 2 hours and 10 minutes. Food was ok but not spectacular as the prices would imply.
Service was terrible not due to the hard working server but the management, bus boys and other servers who literally never stepped a foot into the room except to one time fill water glasses. Never again TofI too many other fantastic Italian Restaurants in the area. I tried, you failed
Wonderful food amazing service and terrific atmosphere. We
Love Touch of Italy and make it our go to place for everything from big family get togethers to intimate date nights. It’s a must when in the area.
We love Touch of Italy, we have been going for years. Best veal dishes and love the pasta dishes. Fresh fish specials are wonderful.
Simply amazing birthday dinner I had here! I enjoyed my self a lot and the food and wine was outstanding!!
Had a concert in Atlantic City Saturday night and every casino restaurant expects you to skip paying your mortgage if you want to eat in their place which is why I searched Open Table for a restaurant just outside the city. I'm so glad we did. The food was incredible and the server was friendly, fast and in general, awesome. Lots of free parking, plenty of room for my group of 6 and the bill was more than reasonable. Some reviews mentioned small portions but my entire party felt the portion sizes were perfect (and we are a family of good eaters). Don't forget to look at the desert tray! The lemon cello cake and my cappuccino was amazing! I would definitely go back.
Haven’t been there in years, for no particular reason, but had good memories. We took my daughter and son-in-Law. Made reservations which didn’t matter because there wasn’t a table at that time. Seated about 10 minutes after reservation time. Service was nothing special. It took quite awhile until the server even came to ask for our order. Slow getting the bread out. My pasta was very dry, which they blamed on the capellini. After a few minutes they finally brought some extra sauce. My daughter had pizza, which she enjoyed. My wife and son-in-law each enjoyed their meals. I felt as though the waiter was rushed and may have had too many tables.
We have been to A Touch of Italy many times and they have never let us down. From the appetizers to the dinner specials we have always been impressed by how GOOD everything is. The bartenders know how to make all drinks, not just the latest. The service is always unobtrusively attentive. And the Tiramisu is our gold standard we compare all others against. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation!
Being seated next to the bar and musician when there were open tables was a major detriment. It was impossible to have a conversation without shouting
My meal was good and so was my lemon drop martini. However, for the price we paid for all 8 of us, we should not have left hungry. My husband's french fries looked like they were counted out...I've never been to an Italian restaurant where I didn't have any leftovers!
Food was excellent. Service was great! Price was outstanding! Only issue is that it can get loud in here. Be sure your in the mood to deal with that.
I have been eating at the Touch of Italy for over twenty years. It has been a while since my last trip their, but the chef made my specialty meal exactly as he used to and it was as excellent as always - Angel Hair Pasta with a Lobster Tail and Calamari covered with Very Spicy Arrabbiata sauce.
The food was pretty bad. I had shrimp and clams, I think they chopped up 1 shrimp. Sauce was so thin, I was just eating linguine without sauce. Overall, food wasn’t tastey as all.
Food always very good
Steve bartender one of the best
Anna the owner always asks if everything alright
Great local find, can make reservations, food tasty and large menu , average portions which as dining should be, fine dining but has advantage of shore casual dress being acceptable, overall a good choice
