Haven’t been there in years, for no particular reason, but had good memories. We took my daughter and son-in-Law. Made reservations which didn’t matter because there wasn’t a table at that time. Seated about 10 minutes after reservation time. Service was nothing special. It took quite awhile until the server even came to ask for our order. Slow getting the bread out. My pasta was very dry, which they blamed on the capellini. After a few minutes they finally brought some extra sauce. My daughter had pizza, which she enjoyed. My wife and son-in-law each enjoyed their meals. I felt as though the waiter was rushed and may have had too many tables.
We have been to A Touch of Italy many times and they have never let us down. From the appetizers to the dinner specials we have always been impressed by how GOOD everything is. The bartenders know how to make all drinks, not just the latest. The service is always unobtrusively attentive. And the Tiramisu is our gold standard we compare all others against. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation!
Being seated next to the bar and musician when there were open tables was a major detriment. It was impossible to have a conversation without shouting
My meal was good and so was my lemon drop martini. However, for the price we paid for all 8 of us, we should not have left hungry. My husband's french fries looked like they were counted out...I've never been to an Italian restaurant where I didn't have any leftovers!
Food was excellent. Service was great! Price was outstanding! Only issue is that it can get loud in here. Be sure your in the mood to deal with that.
I have been eating at the Touch of Italy for over twenty years. It has been a while since my last trip their, but the chef made my specialty meal exactly as he used to and it was as excellent as always - Angel Hair Pasta with a Lobster Tail and Calamari covered with Very Spicy Arrabbiata sauce.
The food was pretty bad. I had shrimp and clams, I think they chopped up 1 shrimp. Sauce was so thin, I was just eating linguine without sauce. Overall, food wasn’t tastey as all.
Food always very good
Steve bartender one of the best
Anna the owner always asks if everything alright
Great local find, can make reservations, food tasty and large menu , average portions which as dining should be, fine dining but has advantage of shore casual dress being acceptable, overall a good choice
Outstanding excellent dinning experience with super food, drinks and great service,.... Thank you, shall be back!..... The best overall in the area!
Food was very good. Restaurant was a little dark and had to use a flashlight to see the menu. Needs a little brightening up on the walls. Otherwise the decor is authentic to Italy.
All 5 of us dining together were very happy with our entrees. We have been there many times over the past 25 years & we have never had a bad meal or bad service.
The restaurant was great
Service was excellent,( abby) food was very good, portioned just right, wine ( house ) was very good as well, overall experience was excellent and will return.
The service was not consistent and the prices were a little high. Would not go back .
Good option on way to or from the shore. Not outstanding food but good solid Italian restaurant. Nice decor. Booths in bar area can be cold with AC blasting. On our last visit the waiter catered to a frequent diner who was demanding to our detriment. They did apologize however. Nice daily specials. Peppers had odd flavor in the pepper and mozzarella starter.
We have never been disappointed. Consistently good food.
Came with a group of 5. Service was attentive, owner walks around room and ensures things are on point. Food was very good. Will definatly go back when in area again. We recommend giving a try. We really enjoyed our evening. thank you "A Touch of Italy.".
Perfect for daily dinner or New Years. Excellent food!
The restaurant is beautiful. The food was ok. Not great but ok. My waitress was very rude, she made comments about my friend ethnicity and asked if she spoke english, I'm white but my friend is hispanic and I told my waitress it was her birthday, she shrugged and kept walking. I didn't want to make any trouble just because it was her birthday but when I go out for dinner I don't expect the staff to be racial profiling my companions.
Great local spot for Italian food. It’s one of my regular spots, the food and service are exceptional
First time there and definitely not our last
Still by far our favorite restaurant. Always consistent. Never had a bad meal or experience. We highly recommend it to all our friends and family. Can’t wait to return.
Sat in a small room with another party of 12 which made hearing our table conversation difficult. Manager did everything to try to make our dinner more enjoyable. Food was excellent. Thank you
Awesome food, service and company. This meal was memorable.
Excellent. Would go twice a week if I lived closer. 2.5 hour trip for us. Well worth it
Food is excellent but the dishes and the portions got smaller.
Service was good, food was not so good over seasoned, overpriced and under delicious.
Touch of Italy is a long time favorite in the Atlantic City area. Food is always consistently good.
Service sometimes slips when they are busy but we had a very nice dinner.
Nice bar area and plenty of parking available.
Delicious eggplant rolatini. Live music in bar was loud, but seating at a distance was pleasant.
Poor planning (and not recognizing Open Table customers for what we are) on their part made this place unacceptable. Although the food was OK, not great for South Jersey Italian, the bread and house wine was not up to the quality I expect in an Italian restaurant is South Jersey. The bread was like it was baked in the grocery store and the wine was not up the the quality of typical jug wine. The biggest problem was first they wanted to seat us in the Bar and not the main dining room, when we objected they begrudgingly moved us to a side room when they had set up a table for 14 right smack in the middle. We could not here ourself talk due the the noise and the poor layout of the room, we could not wait to get out of there. Of course we could have said something but after a while we just gave up.
Good for a family gathering.
Good portion and great food!
The food overall was average. Service was very good. Restaurant could use refurbishing and was rather dark. Overall it’s an ok local restaurant that I wouldn’t go out of my way for.
Fast polite service. The food was served with perfect timing of each coarse. Will definitely visit again.
When I arrived with my wife for our 7pm reservation we were told there would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. There were empty tables I suggested one that was close since my wife is handicapped. The young lady seemed indifferent until a gentleman came over and told her to give us the table. She still seemed a little upset.
Wonderful food and wine always have a great meal when I go here was happy to dine with friends tonight
As soon as my girlfriend and I saw the restaurant it was clear that it was going to be a great experience as they put a lot of thought and investment into the outside appearance of this restaurant. Going into the restaurant it looked very elegant and up to date, and the bathrooms were also kept clean. Our server Patty was very friendly, helpful, and did a great job overall. The food couldn't taste any better! I recommend the Eggplant Rolotini as a starter. Will definitely be dining here again when we're in town.
Consistently good - service by Michael was the best. He is friendly, competent, cordial and a very nice person.
Portions were not overly generous although tasty. Noise level was awful. Restaurant needs to install some soft materials to absorb noise. The room we were seated in was uncomfortably loud. Not the place for a romantic meal.
Again, the restaurant went out of its way to make our party of six have a great evening. First we requested a circular table in the main dining area and it was already set up for us when we arrived. The restaurant manager greeted all of my guests and the service by the waite staff was outstanding. The food was better than it is pictured or featured in the menu. The veal is outstanding and the shrimp scampi couldn't have been better. Martini glasses were a nice size and the drink list was exhausting. All in all it was another great night at a great restaurant with great people and staff.
