A Piece of Havana
We reward our guests by combining the native Siboney staples of corn, peanuts, and yucca with the Spanish accents of rice and olive oil. Alongside relocated Floridian Cubans, Belkis and Juan Plasencia, is a chef who together create garlic and herb-infused delights of the empanadas, moros y cristianos (black beans mixed with white rice), and of course the classic Cuban sandwich. Feel free to take full advantage of the take-out and coffee-to-go bar and drop by for live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Being our Guest is caliente!
It was a saturday and very busy! there was a live musician and the music was loud so luckily they sat us outside. We could still hear the music which was nice Service was good but the food was just ok. they screwed up my order completely and gave my husband the wrong thing. luckily the manager took the food off my bill which was very generous. I didn’t eat the “meat” of my dinner just the rice. all and all I give it a 6 out of 10. I would go back for drinks and appetizers but the entrees are not that great.
Live Music on Fridays was awesome
Food was great! Try the ribs that sauce is out of this world....
Went for my Dad's birthday, the food was awesome, had a great night.
I haven’t gone to this restaurant in a long time, but the food is still excellent and authentic. We had a great time and the service was good. We did however, have to wait for our main entree, what seemed to be a little longer than a normal wait time. They may be short staffed like so many other restaurant. I’m definitely going back.
We made an appointment on open table and apparently the restaurant was not able to see reservation. They said they were having problems with the system but were able to accommodate us.
Service and food were very good though the food was a little slow coming out. Definitely good for an evening event.
Our third time here and just as good! We brought friends and everyone loved the food as much as we do! Havana sampler, pork, yuca with mojo, mixed rice and beans, and the seafood paella
Great, friendly service. Food delicious and pricing reasonable. The paella was delicious as was the simmered pork. Would definitely recommend.
Service was a bit off compared to my usual experience, but the restaurant was very busy…
Muy buena lo recomiendo
The food wasn’t bad. The reason I gave 3 stars for food is because I really wanted the Snapper Fish and they didn’t have it although it was on the menu. That alone ruined the experience for me. My husband on the other hand really enjoyed his meal. We’ll go back again.
Absolutely wonderful and staff. We had authentic Cuban cuisine. This place is amazing!!!
We were sat at a table next to everyone standing at the bar, not my favorite. Everyone was working really hard, music was a great vibe to have on Saturday night. Our server was awesome can't remember his name. Food was average, drinks were awesome!
The seafood dish we ordered came without fish and scallops which were listed in the menu and when I asked about it I didn’t feel like they address my concern and disappointment. Also the meal came out staggered but overall a good experience. The music is the main reason I would go back but I would not pay $41 again for any one dish due to my issue with the seafood entree and and how it was handled.
It was an awesome night to chill with friends and have some drinks
I loved the restaurant decorations and the vibes definitely takes you to Cuba!!! The food was good I was expecting more varieties but overall was good!!!
Awesome good, great atmosphere and live music on the weekends
Lots of fun and great food, if you want to eat and dance, this is the right place. El Konsentido will be there next on April 10, 2021.
Excelente services and great food. Music is great.
We did a reservation, and When I get there it was no table available, very disorganized.
The food was cold. And the drink over price. Very bad experience.
Best spot in Charlotte. Great food with a live band!
Separe una mesa para dos y me dieron la peor cual es el chiste que hacer una reservación y te den la más fea y el servicio de bebidas demoraba en llegar. La comida deliciosa pero repito el servicio de reservación para nada bueno ni creo que volvería hacer.
Valentine’s date was nice. Food was good. Music was good.
Way to loud, very slow service and food was just ok, I don’t know if it was just because they were busy but service took 1.25 hours for mains, and a 30 min wait for a 2nd drink. Singer was so loud we had to yell to even order. I checked with a decibel meter on my phone and he managed to hit 105dbs, loud enough to be painful.
We went to Piece of Havana for Valentines Day. The food was absolutely fantastic (best paella I have had in a LONG time!). Everything was decorated beautifully and the live music was a lot of fun! Can’t wait to go back soon!
Great food and enjoyable place but the music was way too loud for the evening. Plus there was NO social distancing anywhere inside
Delicious food, great service and live music. Mojitos are awesome
The food was good but the music was great. Even though most of the songs played by the live band were American played in salsa style, it was very fun. We'll go back for sure.
Nice place. Food was good.
Came in to my reservation time, looked like they were having a party in there. Stood around for 10 minutes and no one came to greet us at all. No one asked us if we wanted to have a seat, we did not get to eat. So we ended up just leaving. No social distancing, No facemasks on anyone in there. It looked like a club, not a restaurant.
I listened to the waitress and ordered oxtail. I should have know better. The meat was tender but super fatty! The atmosphere is fun but it’s really loud and hard to talk.
I would try it again but maybe go earlier and enjoy dinner and then linger with desert and enjoy the music.
We enjoyed going to a piece of Havana for the food and atmosphere the only problem that we’ve ever had there is the service is very slow and the noise level from the band is so loud we cannot hardly talk to each other other than that it’s a great place to go and eat
Love this place! Food is fantastic!
We came on a Saturday and there was live music which was a pleasant surprised. We saw many families get up and dance.
We ordered the starter, which included things like croquettes, pulled pork, tostones and plantains.
The prices were very reasonable from $12-$15 a dish and we even took some home. I really enjoyed a piece of Havana and will come back again.
Excellent, friendly service and great food. The place was about half full, due to COVID restrictions, but still a good crowd. Our fifth visit.
No social distancing. Tables were all filled with very little space between them. Other than that it’s a wonderful place to enjoy your food with great music
Initially very slow service with small crowd..waited about 20 mins (with reservation) to get water and order appetizer. Manager realized we were upset and came over to apologize. After that, we received prompt service and enjoyed delicious meal for the evening.
I love the Flavor in the OX Tails and the side items were great as well.
