One of very few really good restaurants at Ocean Drive which is not tourist trap, good for seafood, fish, everything was tasty and fresh, very good service and nice selection of wines

Not impressed at all. Actually was our worst restaurant during our trip to Miami. Server spilled wine down the glass every time he poured it...like EVERY time! Food wasn't great. Mussels were leathery and chewy like a rubber band. It was hard to chew them. Pretty sure they were overcooked. Ceviche was decent but small for the price. Ambiance was terrible. Hotel is under construction and patio is covered with scaffolding. I regret making a reservation there and wish I would have selected another restaurant. But hey, you live, you learn.

We made our reservation on line and had no trouble getting the time we wanted. From the moment we approached the host stand to the time that we left everything was top notch. We were immediately greeted with a warm friendly hello. We were told our table would be a few minutes as we wanted to sit outside so we went to the bar. The bartenders were good as were the drinks. A short time later our table was ready as promised. Our waiter and the wait staff was great. Anything we needed or asked for was handled promptly and with a smile. The food was excellent and the people watching was fun. We were there on business/pleasure and actually found this restaurant on Google. We took a chance and it was worth it. On our next trip to South Beach we will definitely eat here again!

Excellent menu and great fine dining experience. We sat outside on the upper level and were very entertained by the live music and street activity. There may be a lot of outdoor options, but the food here is unbeatable.

Everything on the menu sounded amazing, making it hard to choose just one appetizer and one entree. We settled on the escargot appetizer and I tried the sake & tarragon grilled lobster tails. Both courses blew my mind, the drinks were strong, and the service was great.

Great food and always on our list in Miami. Currently is under construction/renovations so expect to be eating under scaffolding outside.
Server was personable and attentive but food took longer than we expected to arrive. We will definitely return!

Lovely dining experience with lots of GREAT people watching! The food is exquisite and they don't rush you out if you want to take your time enjoying your dinner. You may not have a water view but you know the ocean is just a quick walk away. Get a seat on the terrace if you don't want to be right in the middle of all the people walking.

Excellent food, superb service. The seafood paella was the best anywhere. Only drawback was the exterior is currently under construction which really takes away from Miami's art deco scene and obscures the restuarant views. This should be noted by the restaurant and open table at reservation. The rest was 5 star all the way.

We go to this location every year during our trip to the Miami Open. It never disappoints. An outdoor seat on the porch gives you a great view of the "parade" passing by. The food is excellent as are the wine the cocktail choices. it's a little pricey, but the ambiance is worth it. Our waiter that evening was exceptional. did not rush us, gave us great advice, and was obviously very expereienced and friendly, while being highly efficient. Food was delivered quickly, but we did not feel rushed.

great deal on the Tignanello, and very appetizing meal!
We actually preferred our meal with you to our next night out at "The Forge".
Thanks again,

One of the best restaurants in South Beach. Seafood is amazing and nightly special were creative and delicious! Service was impeccable. Alejandro was an amazing waiter. Mr. Pinault is the food and beverage director and came to check on us as well. He was gracious, helpful and attentive. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! We sat inside- more intimate and quiet. There is a patio outside with live music and great people watching. We just opted for a little more intimate inside! Nice to have either option for dinner. Recommend this place 100%. Great wines and desserts were wonderful too!

Good seafood with the world of South Beach world parading by in all their splendor. Marta was an excellent server - attentive, full of knowledge, with opinions but not pushy. Octopus was juicy and tender - not chewy, lovely house salad, and the red snapper was delicious. Key lime pie was also very good - light and tangy.

This is a “go back to” restaurant. Atmosphere is lovely and food was simply superb. Of course I do love fish and theirs is perfectly made (something I rarely say). Would have eaten there again if I was staying longer in Miami.

Asked to sit inside with our newborn, they sat us outside with the irritating noise, smoke & crowds of Spring Break kids. It would have been much more enjoyable inside - definitely disappointing for being our first time.

We dined here for 2 nights in a row. The first night we arrived late for our reservation but was graciously accommodated by the hostess who ensured the kitchen would stay open to allow us to order. Our server the first night was Marta K and she was phenomenal! She gave us excellent service and was genuinely kind. We were surprised to see the gratuity was automatically added to our check ( our oversight it’s listed on the menu but we were rushing to order). We were surprised because she could’ve given us mediocre service because it was the end of her shift and was getting a tip automatically added but she went above and beyond for us. The food was superb and our drinks were great too! Which is why we came back the second night. To our dismay Marta K was not there and what a difference in our second dining experience. Marvin was not rude but he definitely was not friendly nor attentive. Definitely gave us the automatic gratuity level of service. The food was excellent the second night as well, we had the paella

We went at 8:30 on a Sunday night in March. I recommend you sit inside if you want a more refined and quiet experience. If you want to sit outside I would only recommend the upper terrace. We sat by the sidewalk under scaffolding on a busy sidewalk with a parade of people walking by. It was really unpleasant. The food was delicious.

It was our Anniversary Trip to Miami and we wanted a high level dinner to celebrate. We chose the outdoor seating over being inside to feel the experience of people all around. The service and food were top notch. Drinks were made properly. Expensive, but we knew that going there and we were celebrating 33 years. Nice job by all!

Each year when vacationing in Miami, we have eaten dinner at Avalon. We have always been very satisfied until this year (3-6-2018). We waited one hour to get our entree. When questioned about the length of time, they repeatedly said that our meal would be ready momentarily. The meal was of a very poor quality (very dry/over cooked). The matredee did not seem to care about our level of satisfaction. Will not return, nor, recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
