A&B Lobster House Ratings and Reviews
Extraordinary service, extraordinary fresh sea food and great ambience can always be counted on at A&B. I've been dining at this restaurant for 5+ years and I have never been disappointed and our dinner this past Friday night was no exception. Just outstanding!
Hostess was overwhelmed we wanted to sit inside even though we had a reservation. The server didn’t ask us why we were dining there.(two birthdays) He didn’t provide us with a wine menu -we had to ask for it. Waited a long time order, then when we ordered our main meal, asked us if we wanted any add ons...pushy. Food was excellent and atmosphere was great.
Outstanding meal and service! We have lived just outside of key West for years now and used to go to A&B loster house often but just don't get to downtown key West as much as we'd like these days. Dining there was an excellent memory of how great it still is. Loved my lobster bisque and steak au poivre! Just as good as I remembered it. Guess this means we'll have to make the trip into key West more often..thank you A &B for the continued outstanding dining and service that we always remembered!
Our meal was exceptional. Lobster bisque was velvety and delicious. Scallops cooked perfectly. Butter lobster was amazing. Chowder was great. Tomato mozzarella salad very fresh. No complaints. Excellent service. Our waiter was very accommodating with our group of seven. Took pictures and was very friendly overall. Thank you.
The only negative comment I have is I ordered an old fashioned cocktail and it tasted weird. I found out they used artificial sweetener instead of muddled sugar in the drink. The bartender remade the drink and it was better but not up to a craft cocktail drink. Stick with wine. The food was delicious and the waitress attentive. The restaurant is very large and can be noisy.
It's a high class restaurant in Key West. Not the norm for this great town. We went for New Years Eve dinner and thought it was the perfect spot to dress up a little. I had the prime rib. Never a bad choice. Not a high end cut like you might find at an expensive steak house but this is Key West. My wife had the scallops and she loved them.
Our group consisted of five people, we were seated promptly. Server came right away and took drink orders which arrived quickly. Menu was reviewed for any questions. Salads and appetizers were spot on with appropriate time before entrees arrived. I had the lobster bake which was outstanding others in our party ordered crab cakes, and grouper Oscar..great restaurant will certainly go back if we are ever in Key West again!
Excellent food and helpful service. Adjust your scale of 1-10 to Key West casual when it comes to attire! It is a very nice restaurant but casual attire was the look of the evening! We dined on the balcony overlooking the slips and it was very nice ambiance. Recommended.
What a wonderful place to have dinner. We've been in town a little over a week, and with do many options, we decided to go back a second time. Everything was fabulous, the lobster bisque and scallops are great starters. Lobster thermidor, filet, & lobster tails were amazing. Finish off with a great after dinner Martini. I would definitely recommend trying this place, you won't go wrong.
Perfect again!!! Our favorite special occasion restraurant, never disappoints. Classic old school seafood and steaks, with the service and plush atmosphere to match. When the weather is good sitting outside overlooking the bight is very enjoyable.
Everything we've ever had is amazing, I think we've tried almost everything. Standout entrees are the lobster thermidor, scallops and the filet (beef) is to die for. I have a hard time deciding on a salad, love the wedge and their house salad has the tastiest dressing. Lobster bisque delicious, rich and creamy with lots of lobster. Love the sourdough bread they serve when seated. Extensive wine list, high end wines are reasonably priced.
Bananas foster dessert, so much better than the original! Kevin is a fabulous waiter, though when he's not available service has always been equally wonderful with other servers.
Always enjoy a cocktail or 2 with Gage at the bar. Really enjoy listening to Bria as well. This place is consistently great.
With one small exception, everything was wonderful. We had a great time. I was disappointed by the way the person who seated us responded to my request to move one table away from the one next to where some children were seated. She very huffily told me that she could make no changes although there appeared to be plenty of tables. I thought she was rude in manner. Started my experience off with poor feelings. But the great waiter (Nick, I think) was so wonderful that the greeter/seater woman was quickly forgotten.
We went to A&B for my husbands birthday. We have been there on several other occasions and he loves to get their lobster and as always it delivered. He cleaned the lobster out! As always A&B's delivers great food and atmosphere. The staff here is always professional and friendly.
