I was unhappy with a previous experience at this restaurant, but they made up for it with grace and professionalism. If you have a less than excellent visit here, they will make it good with extra care and attentiveness. My previous visit, to be fair, was just before they were closing one afternoon.

OMG! we were so impressed! Chef Nathan is such a find! We are foodies and go to restaurants all over the world. our dinner was impressive! the simple salad - perfect - greens were crisp! dressing light and delicious! my peaches and burrata were perfect - great peaches! and the salmon perfect with the marble potatoes and a delicate sauce.

Finch and Fork was a mainstay for us when we lived in Santa Barbara from 2014-2018. We’ve had nothing but exceptional experiences but found the service to be quite lacking this time around. We were a bit late and our table wasn’t ready. We were seated shortly thereafter but we didn’t speak to a server for nearly 25 minutes. It turns out our original server gave our table to another, but he neither explained that to us himself nor apologized for the wait as we watched him serve a table that arrived after us. The restaurant wasn’t busy. We had appetizers on the table an hour after being seated, and dinner was served at an appropriate time afterward. Everything was delicious as expected but we were quite dissatisfied in waitstaff coordination and lack of attention, and hope it improves.

A lovely restaurant. I think it may have a bad night for them, unfortunately, for us it was dismal. Our waiter suddenly disappeared, a women who we thought was the hostess took our orders. Our party consisted of three couples. Two partial meals were served, ten minutes later, two more meals were served, in another 10 minutes minutes all meals reached the table. The food was fine, the lack of service was not. We sat with dirty plates for an additional 10 minutes. They reduced the check, which was appreciated, but did not excuse the overall experience.

My fish special of halibut was excellent and the strawberry tart dessert was delicious. My husband complained that the food is not consistent because his short ribs previously were plentiful and this time he had maybe a tablespoon of meat. So while I would return to dine at Finch and Fork - my husband would not.

We were there on fried chicken tuesday and were disappointed in the quality and taste of the chicken (only white meat was served) and the accompanying salad was soggy and tasteless and not as advertised. The service was poor, waiter did not even clear plates.

We were 15 minutes late and when we got there, the kitchen was just closed; the waiter was very kind and let us order still. Every dish we ordered tasted great. The shakshuka and the short rib & sweet potato hash are my favorite, so delicious!

Had a surprisingly good dinner at Finch & Fork recently. We started out with the Peaches & Burrata, which was deliciously light and the peaches were perfectly ripe. I had the Sunday night special. It was the best prime rib I've had in years, with tender flavorful meat, and a tasty crunchy crust on the outside. My dinner companion is vegetarian and loved the Beluga Lentils as her entree. The churros were awesome, with very crunchy outside and both dulce de leche and chocolate sauce to dip in. Service was great and the place was not at all noisy; I know having to yell at your friends across the table is au courant, but is not our style.

Beautiful SB style architectural building with a lovely lounge/bar area The food was delicious and they were very accommodating with my food exchanges. I wanted the eggs benedict but with smoked salmon instead of canadian bacon and added avacado. The waiter said he was sure it wasn't a problem but might be an up charge which was totally to be expected. It was delicious! I like my poached egg on the softer side and it was perfect.

We were disappointed to find out that the new chef got rid of the Campfire Milkshake. We always stay at the Canary and always look forward to the Campfire Milkshake. Please bring it back. *The deviled eggs were delicious as usual

What is not what we expected eggs Benedict’s were not made with Canadian bacon, but with some sort of slab ham and a hollandaise sauce was extra salty. Probably won’t be back.

I would never go back to this restaurant after my experience last night. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and were seated at our reservation time, not an issue, although half of the seats in the restaurant were empty at our time of arrival (7:30pm on a Saturday night). We ordered right after sitting down. I ordered a salad as a starter and Mac n cheese as my main (I’m pregnant and it sounded good lol) and my husband ordered the short rib pasta. It took 30 minutes for my salad to come out. There were no cooked elements on this salad so I have no idea why it would take that long. Another 30 minutes after that (one hour from the time we ordered) our food finally came out. The short rib pasta had so few pieces of meat and 2 of the 5 pieces in there were just fat pieces which should never have been served on a plate. Our server did the best he could by taking the dish away and off of our bill, he even offered dessert on the house but we just wanted to leave after we had already wasted over an hour there. I will not be going back simply based on the slow kitchen. By the way, the restaurant was not nearly full and again, this was a Saturday evening at normal dinner time.

Friendly staff. The food was good, but not great. The steak was excellent. The Barada salad was good. The chicken was average the Ragu was excellent. We were overbilled by one glass of wine which we caught at check out. We were put in a table where the sun was shining directly in the face of two of our diners, and they seem to be unable to do anything about it. When we complained, they also did not do anything to help the situation or consider some thing like a free dessert. All they did was explain how they couldn’t do anything about it. We fixed it by simply adding another chair to the round table and putting our back to the sun. Feeling is that this is again postCovid inexperience that should improve.

Service was quite friendly, welcoming, and professional. The food was excellent, but some portions were on the moderate side. We went to the Santa Barbara Wine & Food Festival, but did not get our 20% off, and unfortunately, we forgot to ask for it. Our server was quite attentive and professional.

The Satsuma Tangerine Aguachile is absolutely delicious and reason enough to return. The oysters were very nice and the fried chicken was crispy and tasty. Service was spotty and the restaurant was pretty empty aside from a couple very large groups, but all in all I'd say the food is worth a visit.

Not an incredibly charming venue and the ambiance was average! The staff is not attentive - waited 10 minutes for any host to appear at the stand to check us in for our reservation. We did a bottomless brunch and had to waive down staff multiple times to top us off. Overall service and ambiance is not up to par.

We had a fabulous dinner at Finch & Fork last evening. It was an anniversary celebration of sorts and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne which was very appreciated. The only negative was that the hostess wasn't too friendly but the rest of the staff were excellent. I highly recommend Finch & Fork.

Had a business lunch at F&F on a Friday in June 2023, my first return following their remodel. No real complaints except at this time they only offer a brunch menu. Options are limited if you don't want french toast, eggs benedict, etc. Brunch is fine on the weekend, but please bring back a regular lunch menu during the week.
