96th Street Bistro is a great place for casual dining or special occasions. The lack of check marks just means we didn't try anything but an Easter dinner. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't an off-menu list of specials for a holiday as there was on Christmas Day, but the three of us found plenty to enjoy. One person said the French onion soup was the best she had ever tasted. My Cobb salad was fairly predictable, but with dietary restrictions, that was exactly what I needed. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the dressing complemented the greens and other additions perfectly. We split a shrimp flatbread, which made it a great appetizer -- nicely peppery, so beware if you prefer your food on the bland side.
