Food was sub par compared to other restaurants in Maine
The setting was very beautiful- on the water with individual festive tents on the resort lawn. Food and service were excellent.
Very disappointing. Due to an unfortunate incident my slacks were soaked with water at the beginning of the meal (we did not receive ANY accommodation for this). The seating is outside by the river on the grass, very intimate and pretty but be aware of mosquitos! I left with multiple bites ( no fault of the restaurant). Food was just ok. Would not recommend or return.
Great special out door dining experience on the waterfront
We cane for our anniversary. The service was excellent. We missed the marketed lawn atmosphere due to rain. The menu is extremely limited. The Ceasr salad was flavorless and served without bread. The chowder was ordinary. The waiter shared the short bibs were marinated over night and fell off the bone. It was extremely dry and over cooked. We left most of our meal behind and went home hungry.
The service and food was fantastic! Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary here. We booked a cabana, unfortunately there was a storm coming in so we were moved inside. I had the salmon, which was probably the best salmon I've ever had. My husband had the lobster and shrimp risotto carbonara. It was delicious as well! The servers were great, very friendly and prompt. The atmosphere inside was very nice. For dessert we both had tiramisu trifle. It was not great, a little dry. All in all, great dinner for sure!
The atmosphere is undoubtably the very best if you love ocean views! Being on the The water dining is almost like a fantasy. The food was delicious add the staff put in a great effort to provide good service! Highly recommended experience that you will be talking about for years to come
It was our 20th Anniversary and they made it special by having flowers on the table and a candle in our dessert. The lobster and shrimp risotto was delicious! It was nice dining in our own cabana. Thank you!
Delicious food in an iconic setting. Book early as there are literally only 6 tables. Tables are in the grassy area of the Nonantum resort right along the harbor. We watched a gorgeous sunset while dining and servers were very friendly and prompt. Good was delicious! Would definitely recommend
Always a great meal! Great at providing delicious GF options.
Food, service, and ambience was amazing!
Great night at 95 Ocean. Jimmy took great care of us!
The outside little cabanas were lovely.
Our server Easter, was charming and very good.
My husband like his entree and appetizer
I had the pasta bolonaise, it was terrible. It was undercooked pasta with
Ragu pasta sauce. Very disappointing.
I never complain but it was so subpar
Delightful dining experience by the water! Andrew gave us excellent service and the food quality and presentation were very good. We understand the idea for having the cabanas for an outdoor dining experience was birthed during COVID restrictions last season. Amazing example of turning lemons into delicious lemonade. The owner, Jean, and GM, Tina, are wonderful and make our stay so special each time we come here!
Outdoor dining. It was wet from heavy mist. We didn’t order food. We would have been soaking wet until food arrived. We ordered drinks and decided to leave as the mist was getting heavier. The hotel has a large beautiful dining room. They should use it and not force quests to eat outside particularly in unfavorable conditions.
Special birthday dinner, a total disappointment. Waitress had 3 tables and literally only a few customers but couldnt pay attention long enough to get us wine with dinner...no, it arrived when we were done and was not as described; they took it off the bill. Food ok, but disappointing...husband asked for no gnocchi in his dish..so all they did was take scallops and put them on a bunch of cut up brocolli..nothing from the dish as described on the menu was present...and it was his birthday! I asked for a roll and was told it would take 10 mins to toast me something; but it never arrived... waitress "forgot" ..For $150..i would have like to have left satisfied with meal and service and regretfully we left totally underwhelmed. It was a thursday night, very quiet at 5:30 so it had nothing to do with being busy... it was just an entirely disappointing meal, and service, I'm sorry to say
my meal was fine, i'm ill and could only eat 1/2 shortrib and a salad..so i was good my husband just had a very disappointing meal and service on his birthday
Beautiful location! Excellent option earlier in evening for dining with a toddler. Looked like it would be romantic later evening for a date night!
The waterfront cabanas are stunning! Amazing ambiance, food and service. A must do!
Appreciate the dedication to a covid-cautious dining experience with tables outside next to the water. Long wait for our reserved table. Mosquitos got pretty aggressive at the end. The food is not as good as pre-covid.
This is a beautiful setting to dine outdoors… Don’t miss it!
The live music adds to this perfect dining spot on the water. The food and servers are excellent. There is no rushing here ..just sit back and relax! Enjoy ..
Thanks for a wonderful evening.
When I booked on line only 5pm was available. I asked at the front desk if there were any other times available and I was told they were fully booked.
From 5 to 7pm there were 2 open tables next to us. We walked by at 8pm and even more tables were open. Not very customer friendly. Also the food was almost the same as the bar.
Nice place to dine
The service was poor the waitress didn t have any knowledge of the food when we asked questions
The pasta bolognese had just a few pieces of meat & was horrible the tiramisu truffle was awful as well
When we complained the waitress was defensive
There were kids playing all around us & it was very loud a very different experience compared to last yr with obviously a different chef 👎🏻
We will not be back very disappointing nor will the couple we were with
AAAAAAMazing! As always! The food, the service, the view - all of it was so good as always! Thank you for always providing us with an amazing Maine dining experience! BTW the Lobster/Shrimp Risotto was superb!
Very limited menu. Got the seafood risotto, seafood was over cooked snd tough as if it had been reheated you really didn’t have the ocean 95 menu but in fact limited items from the poolside menu. Risotto was starchy and sticky
This place is outstanding. The food was amazing. The staff was wonderful as well. Bravo!
Not sure why I have to write a 50 Character Review
We both got the lobster and shrimp risotto. It was delicious. A wonderful mix of flavors. We can’t wait to go again.
Food was excellent, Mark our waiter, was fabulous. The view could not be beat, just a perfect night.
Great venue on the lawn of the Nonantum Resort, under a cabana! Chefs outdid themselves with a fabulous lobster & shrimp entree with risotto, my wife raved about it. I had the scallops which were very tender, served with sausage and gnocchi. They also had a mushroom toast in cognac sauce that was one of the best appetizers I’ve had in some time. Just amazing. The only dings were the cabanas which needed a sunscreen facing where the sun was beating down right on us (the unbelievable hot weather was certainly out of their control, but cabana shade was not), and the bottled water that was a bit too chlorinated and needed some filtering. Other than that, just a great meal and experience!
Mother’s Day brunch
Food was really very good. Very bland looking place and it was empty when we went. Service was great.
Creative and beautiful and a great evening
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, seating was limited to outside. The cabana was a perfect place to watch the sun set. The staff was extremely attentive -especially Andrew. Tim brought Us wool blankets to keep us cozy. The clan chowder was one of the best we had while in Maine. My husband had scallops and I had short ribs. Delicious. Plentiful portions, too. Great cocktails, wine and blueberry sorbet. All around a beautiful experience. Will come back next trip.
Loved everything. Fall colors were beautiful, the heaters really helped and they had fresh clean blankets of we needed.
We very much enjoyed the COVID outdoor dining experience. Our waiter Andrew, was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly without being too intrusive. We would highly recommend for a date night!
Excellent, delicious food. Excellent service by Esther. We are from NJ and ate here last year and we will again the next time we come. Thank you for a great experience during a difficult time !
This restaurant provided an incredible alternative during these challenging times. We ate in a private setting on the river with our own personal heater. It was a little chilly but the staff did outstanding given the circumstances. Our meal was absolutely fantastic and the service was equally as good. My wife and I enjoyed an incredible night out, which has been incredibly challenging during this pandemic. I applaud the entire staff at this restaurant for going out of their way to create a personalized experience for their guests. We were so grateful to be able to enjoy our evening out safely. Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
