More than being just a restaurant, we want to offer our establishment as a neighborhood hub to the Wilmington community. A place that people will feel comfortable coming in wearing a t-shirt and jeans or business attire after a long day in the office.
So delicious! The atmosphere was great, our server was fabulous. My baby had a great time and enjoyed the food. So hard to find good gluten free restaurants, and 8th and Union certainly did not disappoint! The mimosas are fabulous!
The appetizers were ok but our meals were lackluster to downright bad. Even the lemonade was not good. Wait staff seemed indifferent. Wanted to like our meal much more than we did.
Quiet for an afternoon (1:30) lunch. Pleasant staff
The food was really good. We started dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday night and they were out of several items, which seemed odd. Service was slow. The prices felt high, especially given the less-than-stellar service.
Excellent gluten free options!!! Very nice place!
Great place for Happy Hour! The bar attender Joe is such an awesome guy! So very accommodating and also recommends good drinks and food. I love this place for their Buck a Shuck!
Went there for Sunday brunch to celebrate my sister's birthday. What a disappointment. The bartender was extremely rude to several in our party. Despite our reservation for 6 people, no table was ready when we arrived and the tables that were shoved together were of different sizes. Bloody Mary bar?? They have a nerve calling it that. For toppings just lemons, limes and a few olives. No pickles, celery, cucumber, peppers, bacon, shrimp. Then let's talk about the food. We waited nearly 30 minutes once we placed our orders and when the food arrived it was cold. For the eggs benedict they seem to use bearnaise sauce rather than hollandaise -- can you imagine eggs benedict without hollandaise sauce? Then the manager -- or rather the fill-in manager -- came over to ask how everything was and we told him. He listened politely but really made a lot of excuses -- cooks called in sick, short staffed, etc. We will NOT be returning ever again. Terrible experience.
I was very disappointed. We went for Father's Day brunch. Our food took one and a half hours to get to us. We were told it is because the kitchen staff is new. Our server was lovely but didn't seem to know much about items on the menu. The food when we finally got it was very good, but the overall experience was disappointing and I likely will not eat there again. At least they did the right thing and comped our entrees.
I was disappointed with my visit this time. It appeared that they were VERY understaffed and that the staff were new. Our meals took very long to come out from the kitchen and when they arrived, they were cold. The manager did come around and apologize for the experience. Nearly every other time that I have visited had been a great experience.
Quite expensive for "just ok" burgers and drinks. We had a party of 5 and just were not impressed enough to pay those prices for a mediocre menu. We will not be back.
Service was great, good time was had by all. Burgers were very good
Great cocktails. Great food. Friendly staff. Half price drinks at happy hour and half price burgers on Mondays. Fun spot for families or couples or groups of friends.
I would not recommend the chicken and waffles meal and the food took a very long time to come out. Other then that the look of the restaurant and the service was great! The parking lot is very small.
Great brunch!! Service was friendly and food was delicious.
I appreciate all the gluten free items. It’s got a great bar!
We had a wonderful experience on a Wednesday girls monthly dinner. Chris our server was so friendly and knowledgeable and made our evening that much more enjoyable. We will surely be back.
Surprisingly, this is one of the better burgers in town, which you wouldn’t expect from an Asian fusion restaurant. Service is usually excellent and you can’t beat the half price happy hour!
Food was great Stefan was awesome. Would def be back.
I was blown away by the atmosphere and food. The portions were what I thought full sized but they weren't and I left stuffed... And I'm a big guy. I had the pork crustini and the Denver steak. I will definitely be back!
Everything was very nice.. we had a great time! We will definitely go back again!
Delightful GF lunch. Enjoyed the jerk chicken and pulled pork tacos. And then GF French fries, always a treat.
Lovely place. Our server Joanna was very welcoming and stayed on top of everything. It was a privilege for us to be waited on by her!!! The food was awesome, my son loved the Buttermilk chicken sandwich, while I enjoyed jerk chicken tacos!!! Definitely will recommend to a friend, as well as make a return trip with my family!!!
Our Bartender Erin was amazing. So nice to talk too and knowledgeable mixologist.
Great selection of beers. Very extensive and eclectic menu offerings. We enjoyed everything that we ordered: buffalo cauliflower; Denver steak was cooked to order; salmon; fish & chips all quite tasty. The server did a nice job, very professional and well informed. However, it took forever for the entrees to come out, and when they did, some sides were missing. Condiments were in short supply and again, it took a lot of time to receive malt vinegar and ketchup. So very good food, long waits.
Great food and love that you cater to celiac (gluten free) as both my daughter and I have d=celiac disease. Only thing that would be better is to have more deserts for people with celiac. Ice cream was great though!
Fabulous place which us very GF friendly!! Food was delicious and pace was good. Stefano was very informative and attentive! Wish it were closer!
A group of friends and I went for brunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere was casual and fun, and the bloody Mary bar was excellent and affordable! I personally wouldn't recommend the brie and crab omelet, but everyone else enjoyed their breakfast foods.
Eclectic decor like bar stools made of reclaimed wood, and a couple of communal tables (in addition to traditional seating options) in a cozy setting. Every thing on the menu is labeled based on whether it can be made gluten free, vegetarian, and/or vegan. The menu is as eclectic as the decor (from pho to fish and chips to tacos). The staff was friendly and attentive, yet laid back. Great place for a date night!
I'm guessing they were understaffed on Saturday. I waited at the door for several minutes before anyone acknowledged me. It took awhile to get a table even though I had a reservation. Once seated the server was attentive, but things did go slow. Overall pleasant experience. Good food. Nice staff but maybe not enough of them?
Awesome brunch and great for those who are celiac or gluten intolerant. Definitely a safe place.
Fantastic spot if you’re gluten free. Servers are very knowledgeable about Celiac’s disease.
Sadly I was not impressed by the food. It was a cool place but not worth the money for wise. However they did have some good beers on tap.
Good food, but bad service. We waited an hour and a half just for our food to arrive. And coffee’s came in after an 45 mins
We for lunch and wasn’t to busy. Service was great and the food was good. Monday is half price burgers so that was a nice surprise. They have a good tap and cocktail list
Great gluten free food!
Parked in the lot. Seated right away. Great waiter-Chris-very attentive. Both had the scallops-great dish always.
Our server was great very friendly food was good, we did the valentines special. The empanadas were superb, steak and scallops were of high quality, and the creme brûlée was excellent. We tried the tequila flight, I feel they could change some of the tequilas In that one was very harsh. Overall it was a great choice for our valentines!
Our second time there because we loved the food so much the first time. Great place to go with the family including our 10 month old granddaughter!!
I was at 8th & Union Kitchen for my birthday with my sons. Our meal was very good and our server, Stephano, was wonderful. He even comp'd me a drink for my birthday. Thank you for a lovely dining experience.
Dependably good. Parking sometimes an issue. Live music good. Earthy feel.
