8th & Union Kitchen is a Contemporary American Gastropub that It is located in Wilmington’s Little Italy neighborhood. The menu showcases some american favorites such as, Filet Mignon, Grilled Salmon, Fish & Chips and Crab Cakes. We also feature interesting dishes like, Pho (a Vietnamese noodle soup), Chicken Pad Thai and our own version of Pork Fried Rice. There's also a great selection of items to share including Pork Belly Sliders, Raw Oysters, Chili BBQ Wings and Steamed Dumplings.

The beverage program offers traditional, house, and Tiki cocktails that are crafted by hand. There are 14 draft beers focused on crafts with a moderately priced small distribution wine selection.

More than being just a restaurant, we want to offer our establishment as a neighborhood hub to the Wilmington community. A place that people will feel comfortable coming in wearing a t-shirt and jeans or business attire after a long day in the office.

What a wonderful gem! They had great wine, great food options well constructed - - our server was knowledgeable on the menu and the ambiance was great - - very cozy!

Food ok. Service very poor. Was not busy. Maybe server new? Set a bad tone for the entire meal

Just about everything on the menu could be made gluten free.

The food left much to be desired. Brisket was dry, tacos had way too much cilantro. The crab cake sandwich was the highlight along with the fried rice.

Usually the service is great. But we had a waiter who was apparently new, or at least overwhelmed so another waiter (the big guy) had to bring our drinks after 10-15 minutes of sitting there. And slow throughout the meal. But we will go back We love the place.

Very quiet on a Friday night, but it was nice to be able to have a drink or two and being able to hear the person I'm with.

We had to keep pushing our reservation later in the night because of my daughter's graduation going longer. They were kind and flexible! The wait staff was wonderful and attentive. The food ...salmon.. was amazing! The other meals were steak, also very good.
I highly recommend...this place let's you relax !

Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Nice choices a la carte. Bloody Mary bar was the best I've ever experience! More choices of mixes and garnishes!
My wife had steak and eggs. Steak was okay. I had the chicken and waffles - nice!
Will return to experience happy hour...

I wouldn't recommend ordering scallops. Not prepared properly and over priced. However drinks were excellent and gluten free ice cream was amazing.

This is not a good destination for a quiet pleasant meal, which is what I had wanted. It features a bar, which is noisy. I had to send several items back to be warmed up. Also, my sandwich was supposed to have avocado on it, and the amount was tiny.

We were disappointed and expected a higher-quality restaurant. We waited for our wine to be brought. The tables were not cleared when we were finished .

I enjoyed the food !!!! Also, the prices were pretty reasonable !! However our server was not good, had to wait a long time just for her to get water and cutlery for us. But the server for next table was amiable. So I would say that overall service must be good !!

Had a wonderful brunch on Easter Sunday. Two piece combo playing which was great--not too loud, could talk easily. Unfortunately they took a rather long lunch break so they were not playing the majority of the time we were there.

The restaurant has the right mix of sophistication (menu, food quality) and casualness (friendly staff/waiters). And it is a gem in the area for Gluten Free. Nowhere else like it.

Been before for sandwiches etc and was awesome. Tried the entrees on a date night this time & we were left underwhelmed. Will go back but not to spend that much. We'll stick with the burgers/sandwiches next time. Service was spot on and perfectly timed though which was a definite plus.

The live music was a pleasant surprise. It was truly background music. Loud enough to be heard, but soft enough you didn't have to talk loud/over it. An excellent variety on the brunch menu and nice Bloody Mary bar, but would have been helpful to have a small tasting cup to sample the mix before you made a drink with it!

Menu was interesting: tavern fare with an Asian twist. Menu had many choices. My wife had a burger cooked perfectly med rare. I had mushroom pho with pork belly. How often can you get that combination at a gastropub. Meals were great. Good quality ingredients and creative preparation. Above average beer selection. Service was average but sincere. We liked the atmosphere and the vibe. Will definitely return.

I have not been to this restaurant in a long time. I took a shot with my family because my mom likes to eat dinner early and my sister has a gluten intolerance. We ate at 2:30/3:30 and sat right in front of the fireplace. It was great! Our waiter was friendly, helpful and humorous; everything that you want in a waiter or waitress. I was so impressed by the menu, especially the gluten free dishes. I cannot wait to return!

Half price burgers are delicious, especially the aioli topping which onions and shallots fries are excellent and I'm always wishing for more! Have had three different varieties of wine and all were poor. Recommend updating the wine selections by the glass. Service was timely and polite. We will be back!

Such a treat to have a restaurant that does gluten free deliciously. The gluten free vegan family member were just as happy as the burger and hand crafted cocktail members of the family. A new favorite.
