Everything, from the 5 minute wait for the hostess to stop chatting with the cooks, to the horrendous raw steak covered in what appeared to be Heinz gravy was awful. I can honestly say I’ve never had such a bad experience dining out. But at least the waiter completely blew us off, leaving his co-worker to have to cover our table.
Seriously horrid and expensive birthday dinner.
Terrible service. Understaffed. We waited 30 minutes to order. Wait staff was hardly present. Had to ask for everything. Food was only average.
Terrible food in terrible service absolutely the most disgusting meal we have ever had in Beavercreek the shrimp cocktail to start with was not clean properly the salads were mushy the steak was cold and rare and the trout was absolutely disgusting . Such poor service I brought it up to the waitress attention that the shrimp cocktail was not good and her response was oh I’m sorry your dinner should be arriving soon three people $300 I would’ve paid $600 if the food was decent but it was absolutely terrible I’ve been coming to Beaver Creek for years and tried so many restaurants and they’re all great But whoever reads this please don’t go to the Hyatt restaurant it’s absolutely subpar don’t waste your money
Stephanie was amazing!! Food is super yummy & you can’t beat watching people come down the mountain.
It was great lunch spot!
Great lunch at the ski area
Service, atmosphere and food were great! Really enjoyed the veggie burger!
Lamb was extremely under-cooked and almost had the flavor of lighter fluid.
No one touched our table for at least 25 minutes. It then took another 15 to get our first drinks. The food arrived cold, twice. The chef was throwing a fit in the kitchen and it was visible to everyone. Food runners were just standing around the window twiddling their thumbs and chatting. The only decent employees in the restaurant were the bussers, who did an excellent job and were very polite. The manager was inept and unable to handle a half empty restaurant. Terrible.
What a wonderful dining experience!!! Service was excellent, the food was amazing. Loved the mountain side atmosphere. My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly! Would highly recommend.
Waiter Was fantastic... cauliflower steak was out of this world!!! Wine perfect. The expensive snow crab was tasteless and seemed frozen. ThAt being said it was the only disappointment.
Great service however low value given price and food quality. Steak was exceptional however trout and salmon dishes were fair.
Recognizing this is Beaver Creek, this establishment is quite pricey for what you get. Appetizer plates, associated silverware, and empty glasses were left on the table for the entire meal. Food was ok but not great. Over $200 for two adults and two kids (who split a kids meal) with one cocktail and one glass of wine. Will not return unless it’s the lunch menu. Disappointed.
A delicious dinner with excellent service by Rachel.
Great outdoor seating by the slope at the base! We came in for lunch on a beautiful day after our morning runs on the mountain.
Friendly service and food is decent. I ordered tomato soup and lobster tail salad, my husband had the Smoked Brisket Chili and Black Diamond (Kobe) burger. We enjoyed it.
It’s a nice place to chill, have a glass of wine and people watching (coming down the slope) while enjoying a meal here.
Food was delicious. Service was slow.
Very good CO trout with wild rice. Nice platting and service was prompt and accurate.
We had a good family dinner at 8100 Mountainside. The kids buffet is a great touch and also a great value. Adult prices are a bit steep, but what you would expect in Beaver Creek. We would definitely go back and the trout is amazing!
Well unfortunately we didn’t make it to the drinks and appetizers we ordered as we waited for more than 30 minutes and nothing came. We never saw our server again to check and no one else checked in. The toughest part was that there were SO many staff members around chatting with each other and we were one of two tables in the dining room. Sat down at 5:45, left at 6:25 and only served water and bread.
The ribeye skillet with Brussels sprouts mushrooms rice and mash potatoes was outstanding! Two fed 6 adults. Service was superb! Loved the ambience!
Excellent meal, great wait staff. I order the elk and it amazing, a portion large enough to share. The desserts looked great but we were too full to enjoy.
Good kids buffet.
Wendy who was our bartender did an outstanding job. We had a great meal and time.
Great spot to get off the slopes and away from craziness of Powder 8 or Mid mountain restaurant. Kids meal price was 1/2 the price of kids meal prices mid mountain. Lobster salad was fantastic. Wood burning fire place added a nice touch and smell. Good views of the slopes.
Beautiful setting sitting outside looking at the miuntains
Good food and good atmosphere.
Food was tasteless, service was very slow, options from set menu very limited. A poor overpriced event. Should stick to a la Carte menu. Not a repeat for New Year’s Eve!
The starter salad came out with the entrees. The rice was under cooked and the food was barely warm after waiting 30 minutes. Will not be going back.
Food was okay, but not what I expected from an upscale restaurant. My wife and I split the elk chop, and our adult kids both had the salmon. The server wasn’t very helpful with the menu. FYI - you can’t see the Thursday night fireworks from inside the restaurant. You have to go outside.
Average food with terrible service. Same as it ever was.
The food was over priced, served cold , small portions and not prepared with much originality.
I had two things that required an awful lot of work. The Caesar salad is made this way: put a dollop on Caesar dressing on a plate, then put some large pieces of Romaine lettuce on top. Then put 2-3 croutons on the side, then put some white anchovies (not the good, dark anchovies) on the plate. Then let the customer figure out how to cut up and toss their own salad on a dinner plate. Really, really stupid way to serve a salad! Next, I got the "whole fish" special ($40). It was served in a deep pan that was not flat and was the width of a fish, in fairness, a big fish. Every time I tried to get at the fish, the pan would swivel on the table. I finally stole a napkin from another table and put the pan on that to keep it from spinning. There was no way to get at the underside of the fish...the pan was too deep and shallow to allow it to be flopped-over. The side orders were served on separate plates...very hard to access because of the huge spinning pan containing the fish. Bottom-line: not a good dining experience at all. Bland sides, high price. I know all the restaurants in BC, and this is the LAST one I would go to. Check that: I'd not go. I'd eat at home if this were my only choice.
Our server Andres was awesome and very personable!
I was pretty disappointed in my dining experience at 8100. The food was mediocre for it being so pricey, and our server was horrible. I get that it was busy, due to it being the night of the tree lighting ceremony and everyone wanted to dine at 6:30, but he did not handle it well. He had come over after we had been sitting for at least 5 minutes, dropped off the cocktail and wine list, said sorry I'm your server, I'm serving like the whole restaurant and then did not return to us for the rest of the night. He passed us off to his server assistant, Eduardo, which was fine, but he did not apologize and say sorry this is Eduardo he will take care of you, nothing. Eduardo came over and apologized for him and then proceeded to take care of us. What made it awkward, was we were a two top, sat in between two other two tops, both of which were commenting to us on how he never came back and the server assistant took care of us, but he came back and took care of the tables on either side of us. He never even acknowledged our presence the whole rest of the night. Not sure why. A simple apology would have been nice. Maybe that really awkward experience took away from the enjoyment of the actual meal, but either way I was really not impressed. I have dined at many Hyatt restaurants and I have never had service like that. I have not gone back the rest of my stay because I was put off.
I used to love coming here so much! I would still say it’s a favorite. The latest menu doesn’t offer my husband or I very good options. No chicken entre. The prime rib bites were too salty and gave me indigestion. The staff were overwhelmed. I’d understand that bc it was thanksgiving weekend bowers we were there in April and the service was the same. I even asked for a candle for my husband’s cake and they forgot that. Maybe not enough staff?
We have eaten at his restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner while hotel guests. Overall excellent experience. Staff are very attentive and pleasant.
This was on place I choose to eat at during our anniversaryweekend we spent in Beaver Creek. The filet was mediocre, it had a microwave flavor. My wife ordered her salmon extra rare. It came out completly cooked so I sat and waited fofor hers to he prepared the way she asked. Very disappointed.
Two of our meals were very salty. Two others were overcooked and unable to be eaten. The wait staff was awesome but I feel she was putting out fires caused by the chief all night. Our reservation was for 7:00 we got out just after 9:00. Needless to say, they did not charge us for the meal, just drinks.
We went during restaurant week and so I’m not sure if the food was just not as good due to it being discounted but was sadly disappointed with the meal.
Normally really like this restaurant...went there with another couple for dinner on Saturday on me and my wife recommendation, just so happens it was restuarant week, and they had a brisket special which we all ordered. The meat was nothing but fat and was impossible to even chew...I really feel they mail it in on this offering...little embarrassed we told them how great the food was there..
