    Always good food and experience. Although the prices have increased a lot, that is true everywhere. 801 Fish didn’t lower the quality of the food. It’s still high quality food and service.

    801 Fish never disappoints. The beet salad with blood orange was one of the best I’ve had. Swordfish stuffed with crab over Parmesan Risotto was to die for. And the desserts!! Wow. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Our evening at 801 Fish was outstanding. We started with a couple of great cocktails at the bar. Our server Martel was kind, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. The crabcakes, salad, sea bass and branzino were well prepared and presented; delicious. A great wine list and crème brûlée complimented the meal perfectly. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

    801 Fish is overpriced. I assume it's overpriced because of the location and also because of the freshness of the fish. The food itself is ok. The shrimp & shishito tempura was mostly breading, no seasoning, and overcooked. The brussels sprouts were good, the mussels were delicious. The sauce the mussels came in was nice and well-seasoned. The drinks were good but definitely not necessary to be $16 - $18 dollars for an 8oz cup that was mostly ice or a huge ice cube. The entrees were good. The Blue Snapper and the Hailbut were tasty, slightly overcooked. The garnish was nice as well. to pay $40- $50 for a smedium-size fish was overpriced. Our server, Robin was great. She had great knowledge of the dishes and made good recommendations based on the menu. She was attentive and made sure we were doing well throughout our meal. She was friendly and made pleasant conversation. Our food came out in good timing, and the hostess was nice. I am grateful they validate parking. They do have valet service. The restaurant itself is a nice place. Loved the decor and the ambiance. The music was a nice touch. This is my second time coming to 801 Fish and I can say its an ok experience.

    Wonderful experience! We were at 801 Fish for my husband's birthday. Environment is elengant and pleasant. Food was excellent, service was perfect. Dessert was offered as birthday gift, presented in a delightful way. We definitively will be back and recommend 801 Fish

    Food and wine were excellent. Service was really slow and inattentive even though we were seated early and the tables were empty., Worst of all.., a FRUIT FLY was buzzing around. For the money this dinner cost … and it was freezing outside… unbelievable. We were swatting the #%** thing throughout dinner with no acknowledgment from wait staff.

    801 Fish is a place to go if you love seafood and are willing to spend some cash on it, because it's not cheap, like any good food is. The service is also very prompt and unobtrusive.

    801 Fish did not disappoint. I had the Whole Fried Branzino and wife had the Alasksn Halibut both were outstanding. We had a few apps but the jumbo rock crab claw was the best. The service was on point and the gentleman who brought the food out was amazing, telling us all about our apps and meals we were about to enjoy! Fives stars all around!

    We have an excellent experience for my wife's birthday. As usual, the seafood options are outstanding; there is also an extensive list of wines by the glass with a good ratio of cost and quality. It is a very good option to go during weekdays.

    This is a beautiful restaurant, food is overall good. We had a problem with wine on the menu not available and some food items that were listed on the website not available as well. Their red wine by the glass is very limited, and 1 of those items were not available. Overall, it wasn't a great experience

    Double date for dinner. The seafood and service was great. They made our Saturday night special. Located in clayton next to the ritz . No issues with parking which made our night less stressfull .

    Truly outstanding meal, from the hot app Baked Maryland Crab Gratin, to the Gilled Caesar salad, and finally the Swordfish Involtini and Lobster Risotto. Celebrating our wedding anniversary, our server Aaron could not have been more personable, attentive, and informative. His thorough knowledge of each dish was extraordinary, and his welcoming personality made for a most delightful dining experience. Lastly, his acknowledgement of our anniversary celebration made our celebration most special.

    On a cool, blustery Sunday evening we decided on an early dinner at 801Fish. We made a reservation for 6:45pm which, when we arrived to a nearly empty restaurant, was clearly unnecessary. We were tucked into a table at the far end of the floor, across from the kitchen. One other table was occupied along with a couple at the bar. We ordered from the prix fixe menu that was available for $50 apiece. As it happened, I was in St Louis for a surgical procedure the following day at the famed Washington University Barnes Jewish Medical Center. This was my last meal before fasting for 18 hours. I looked for a fresh, light seafood meal that would not cause issues with my surgical procedure. To say the least, I was extremely dissatisfied. Our service was extraordinary slow, with a random waiter stopping by to grind pepper. No bread or rolls were ever offered. I was served a lobster bisque that tasted like it had been cooked in a discarded Campbell Soup can with a strange grainy piece of lobster claw meat. The undercooked scallops were surrounded by mystery vegetables that were fried in a week old olive oil that left a red fringe on the plate including the scallops. Remarkably, when I mentioned to the waiter, politely, that I thought the scallops were undercooked he whipped out a bright flashlight and after examining the seafood he pronounced that he didn’t see any “transparent or translucent” flesh. Thoroughly embarrassed to have a flashlight bringing unwanted attention to my table, I thanked the waiter who strode off into the practically empty room. I could not have any sugary foods before the surgery so I inquired of the waiter if I could have fruit for dessert. He replied that there were “no substitutions”. With that my dinner was over. My partner suggested that we give the scallops to our dog. And so we did. Our pup was quite pleased. It was clear they were fit for Fido.

    Wonderful dinner with friends. Our server, Bear, was fabulous. We started with oysters and shrimp cocktail, and then had some great entrees. Notable dishes were the Halibit and the lobster bites. Soooo good!
