It was pouring down rain and when I arrived I was informed by the valet that he didn’t drive a stick shift and asked me to valet across the street at 801 Fish. So I pulled around to that valet and was told the same thing and that I had to park in the garage up the street. It was also very windy and by the time I reached the door of the restaurant I was pretty wet. I was surprised that such a high-end restaurant would not have valets that can park all cars.
We got oysters to share amongst the three of us and one fork with no one in sight to ask for more. We had to order our entrees twice because our waiter took two of the three orders while we were waiting for the last person to show up and then forgot. We had to ask someone to track down one of our side dishes. In all, the was good but at $100 plus tip per person; I expected a lot better service.
Delicious steaks, but the boursin mashed potatoes are the star.
Went in for a late valentines dinner. The food was amazing as always and our server Danny was outstanding.
Bread and lobster corn chowder was yummy. Salad was eh. Cocktail shrimp was good. Wasn't a fan of the salad, cocktail king crab or the oysters, so pretty bummed about that. Don't think their food is up to par with other comparable restaurants.
Fabulous food and service as usual. Always impressed with their consistency.. Especially enjoyed dining in one of the private dining rooms as we were with two persons hard of hearing.
My husband and I are just not fond of how they prepare their steaks. They are overly peppered and seared with such a thick burnt crust that you can’t taste the actual steak at all. (I got the filet and he got the ribeye.) The sides were good but nothing amazing. It’s just a shame to ruin a good cut of meat the way they do. Probably won’t return.
I want to share our evening at this establishment. Amazing would be how I begin. We arrived a little early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. The kettle-one slightly dirty, super cold martini was close to the best ever I’ve consumed! We were summoned to our table where Josh would be taking care of our dining experience. This is our first visit so we wanted the entire presentation of the steaks available both on and not on the menu. Don’t pass up this part. Once we chose the 12 oz filet medium rare to share ,the mushrooms, and the hash browns, the staff favorite, we chatted for a bit but just long enough to glance over the extensive wine list. We pick a favorite of ours the Bella Glos Pinot. $75 which is very very reasonable for this bottle. The food was presented to us in about 15 minutes and the carnage ensued. Probably one of the top 5 meals we have consumed in my 55 years!!! Then to finish with a slice of carrot cake to share... Wow!! We are out of town travelers but will be back for this establishment soon. Enjoy and ask for Josh as your server...
Service and food were top notch. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it.
Best steak I’ve ever had! I had the bone in ribeye, cooked “medium”. I love the fact that the only ingredients used were salt and pepper. While expensive, $64.00, it was definitely worth it. We knew going in it would be expensive. The sides were somewhat expensive, but generous helpings.
Great service great food. My wife’s steak was pretty rare. She orders medium rare everywhere we go this was much more on the rare side. Other than that everything was great. Surprised that a steak house like this would have trouble getting meat temp right.
The food was very good, yet expensive. The restaurant was very loud, and all of the booths basically circled the bar, which was quite noisy. Most of the tables that were away from the bar were for larger parties.
Service was awesome. Food was perfectly prepared. It was a little noisier than I remember.
This restaurant was really great! The food, service, and atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be back
We had a wonderful waitress who made it a great Valentine dinner. Food was excellent. Valet gets low marks, however. See you again soon..
