Sat outside on the patio last night and it was a beautiful evening! Our server, Julia, is excellent! We had a perfectly prepared ribeye, pork chop was delicious, lobster bites are soooo good. Very accommodating to special preparation requests. Love 801 Chophouse!
Service was great. Food was awesome!
Atmosphere was on the darker side.
Food was awesome! Best I had the entire time I was in town.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at 801 and at any restaurant in recent memory. The service was atrocious - the waiter who apparently was also the bartender asked what we wanted to drink, and when we asked for water, he seemed wholly put out and never engaged again. He asked for our order, which was delivered by someone else, and he brought us our check. The service was so bad, I actually gave the server at Chili’s at Lambert airport the next morning double what I left for the uninterested server at 801. This is the first time I’ve left less than 15% for a server since I was in college.
My wife’s steak was good, my own was dry and tough. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked. The best part of the meal was an order of onion rings.
We’ve been quasi regulars at 801 for about 5 or 6 years, looking forward to our dinners here whenever we visit St. Louis. It’s always been a fabulous experience and it is next door to our regular hotel.
There are far too many options nearby for us to return.
Food was just okay
Absolutely loved our experience at 801 Chophouse! We were so impressed with the level of service, quality of the food and timing when being served. No long waiting in between courses. Will be back soon!
Amazing service and the absolute best food! Loved celebrating our anniversary there!
I have never had a bad dining experience at 801. The waiters were amazing! Not to mention the managers stopped by several times just to check in.
It is one of my favorite dining experiences. Not to mention it was a rough work week, the laughter of our waiter made it that much better!
Thank you for providing such amazing service..
The staff was amazing and hands down the best steak and prime rib any of us have had!
Birthday Celebration for my husband
The food was fantastic. However, my husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary (included this detail in reservation), and it was never acknowledged which was very disappointing.
Excellent, attentive service. Delicious steaks.
Sandy the waitress was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive and professional. I had a great experience. The sea bass lobster risotto and lobster bisque was amazing! Would recommend
The food was delicious! The Sunday supper menu is a great value! Our server on the other hand was fair. He lacked friendliness.
Treated our son to a birthday dinner. It’s my favorite steakhouse in St. Louis and one of my favorites anywhere. Was a great meal with fantastic service. And even a nice touch printing Happy Birthday wishes right on the menu.
Great food as always. Service was excellent. Waiter brought us an extra dessert as well. Can’t wait to come back later this month.
Waitress was rude, steak was cooked incorrectly and they didn’t validate our parking so we had to pay.
Fantastic from the minute we walked in! Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. He complemented a delicious dessert for our anniversary too.
I enjoyed my evening at Chophouse, the food was great and the service excellent.
Best service & best cut of meat I have ever had. Had the Wagyu tenderloin and it was worth every penny!
The steaks at 801 Chophouse are fantastic! Had the rib-eye, with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was very good! The chocolate cake is delicious. Make sure you ask to be seated with Julia as your server, she is phenomenal.
We had our daughter’s birthday dinner, Our server, Diana did an awesome job, knows the menu pretty well.
Steak was salty, but still good. I've never had a steak that's $57-good, but that's fine. Cream corn was like eating a stick of butter coated in salt. Beer and wine were great. Dessert was great. I'll be back.
Very nice. Moving nephew into Wash U. Great “last” meal together.
Waiter suggested he get his steak med rare plus. That’s how he ordered it. It was very rare when it was served. Had to send it back.
Outstanding quality of meat. Great atmosphere. Professional staff. Definitely recommend.
Food is too salty… salt is incorporated into food AND sprinkled on top.
Outstanding food and service. The prime rib melted in your mouth.
Food was good/great but not awesome. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable. We would eat there again. But hopefully in a different booth.
Amazing ambiance amazing food it’s always a great experience at this establishment.
Very nice & upscale restaurant! It’s was my Birthday and they where very welcoming even valet
Great place, love it every time we dine there. Never disappointed!
Our server Bob was very knowledgeable about the menu and particular cuts of beef. He was charming and attentive. Josh, the restaurant manager, even came to check on us. The food was absolutely amazing. It was a delightful evening and experience.
In town for business and elected to take the team to dinner. Suffice it to say the experience was fine but the food quality did not match the price point. The Delmonico somehow lacked flavor and much more chew than you would expect. The scalloped potatoes were okay but a bit overcooked. The chocolate cake was delicious. The poke bowl was short on poke… an okay restaurant but you’d likely do better at a chain like Ruth Chris. I’ll give it another try next time in town.
The last time I ate there, was about a month ago the food was really delicious and the service was outstanding. This time Sunday 8/15 the food was not as good. It was good but not as good. Service definitely wasn’t up to part. I will try it again.
For the prices to be so high end the food was not worth it yet alone the service . I didn’t like anything that was put in front of my face and I was disappointed due to it being my birthday dinner . My family did not enjoy the food . We spent 840 dollars on that when we could have went to LongHorn SteakHouse for a better meal .
Highly recommend. Food was great. Service was phenomenal
This place IS AMAZING! Ambiance is perfect, great music playing in the background, conversation level is great…no screaming required. Big windows afford a great panoramic view of the surrounding neighborhood. Food was incredible! Service was a perfect balance of “do you need anything else” and “leave me alone”. The absolute best restaurant experience I’ve had in years!
