It was fabulous! Great service and even better food. I highly recommend this restaurant,
Anniversary dinner. Excellent steaks. Server Sam is our favorite!
The restaurant experience was great but it took over a 1/2 hour for the valet to find my car
Food and service was excellent. We eat here frequently on trips up to the Chicago area. My wife and I split the porterhouse and it was exceptional. Our Green Coat was Dave. He did a great job and will make sure to ask for him again on future stops for dinner.
We had our daughters 21st birthday dinner here on Sunday. Food was amazing, from appetizers to finish. Cocktails were fantastic and the suggested wine pairing...perfect. Service was absolutely outstanding, we had a perfect evening celebrating our daughter.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Thank you for the outstanding dining experience.
Had a great girls weekend. Sat at the bar before dinner and had amazing service. Sat down for dinner and had such a delicious meal!
It’s always a nice evening. The staff go out of their way to welcome us even though we are never extravagant on orders. For us, it’s a combination of great food and staff that keeps us returning.
I thought the food was really great. We came in there to celebrate a birthday. They sat us together, 4 people, at a way too small table. We were scrambled all together, no space for appetizers, all the drinks, and then the menus. We were brought out bread, that again was way too small to share in between 4 people but ok. The server was very knowledgeable but was not truly paying attention to us. She would rush and would not take any time especially if we had additional questions. Even more so since we did come to celebrate a birthday and no one paid additional attention to that. Nevertheless, the food quality was great and we will come back. But one also should know that valet parking does start until 5:30pm. We had reservations at 4:45pm.
After being seated in the bar rather than the main dining room we asked for a server after sitting for twenty minutes. Our server had our table along with a private party. This caused us to wait for ordering, wait for our food, and then eventually our check. I have much higher expectations from 801 and they were not met on this occasion.
Beautiful service and food was phenomenal
Wonderful staff all working together like symphony! The kitchen perfectly fired all entrees, excellent!
Great prime rib. Wonderful bartenders.
801 Chop house was an enjoyable experience. We each had the Sunday dinner and it was fantastic!
Our server was phenomenal and very personable. Even the food runners had a great attitude and make conversation. The experience was amazing and the food was even better.
We LOVE 801 Chop! Our service was excellent. There is obviously a lot of time, care, and consideration that is put in to the menu and the explanation of specials and offerings is thorough, yet not overwhelming. We enjoyed lobster bisque, filets of various sizes, lobster macaroni and cheese, hash browns and to top it off, the pastry chef brought out a creme brûlée to complete our anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit!
Amazing food and service. All staff members were extremely polite and accommodating.
Good and service was amazing!
The food and service definitely exceeded our expectations
Ate outside. Brandy etal gave great service. Friends joined us mid/meal. Ordered strictly Vegetarian fare. They enjoyed the food greatly. Wait staff took our guests arrival in stride. Only two complaints: our table has an uneven top which caused me to spill my port on my friend, her purse and me & there doesn’t seem to be any way to adequately illuminate either the individual tables or the patio. A positively Stygian darkness had descended by 9:00.
great happy hour service was very good food super
Valet was prompt and easy. Service was excellent - allowed enough time between courses and drinks to make our meal flow. A great choice of steaks to choose from - USDA Prime to Australian Wagyu. We did not have any appetizers, but there were plenty of good ones to choose from. We did have salads - Wedge was great and the Chop salad was, as well. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Sides were generous. Desserts were big enough to share, as well. Overall, a great experience.
Took advantage of the Sunday Night Supper set price menu for my birthday. Will be back!
Service was ok but guy was a super salesman. Took us forever to get served. Bathrooms smell like Sewage.
Overall very expensive and just not that good
Celebrated our 5th anniversary here and will definitely be back! Everyone wished us happy anniversary and the menus and dessert plate said it too! Portions were huge and delicious! They even gave us dessert free for our anniversary!
Sat outside on the patio last night and it was a beautiful evening! Our server, Julia, is excellent! We had a perfectly prepared ribeye, pork chop was delicious, lobster bites are soooo good. Very accommodating to special preparation requests. Love 801 Chophouse!
The food here is incredible and the service is always impeccable.
Bob was a great server. Really good timing for three courses and wines. I was dining alone, so the loud noise level only bothered me when I was trying to place my order.
Service was great. Food was awesome!
Atmosphere was on the darker side.
Food was awesome! Best I had the entire time I was in town.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at 801 and at any restaurant in recent memory. The service was atrocious - the waiter who apparently was also the bartender asked what we wanted to drink, and when we asked for water, he seemed wholly put out and never engaged again. He asked for our order, which was delivered by someone else, and he brought us our check. The service was so bad, I actually gave the server at Chili’s at Lambert airport the next morning double what I left for the uninterested server at 801. This is the first time I’ve left less than 15% for a server since I was in college.
My wife’s steak was good, my own was dry and tough. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked. The best part of the meal was an order of onion rings.
We’ve been quasi regulars at 801 for about 5 or 6 years, looking forward to our dinners here whenever we visit St. Louis. It’s always been a fabulous experience and it is next door to our regular hotel.
There are far too many options nearby for us to return.
Food was just okay
Absolutely loved our experience at 801 Chophouse! We were so impressed with the level of service, quality of the food and timing when being served. No long waiting in between courses. Will be back soon!
Amazing service and the absolute best food! Loved celebrating our anniversary there!
I have never had a bad dining experience at 801. The waiters were amazing! Not to mention the managers stopped by several times just to check in.
It is one of my favorite dining experiences. Not to mention it was a rough work week, the laughter of our waiter made it that much better!
Thank you for providing such amazing service..
The staff was amazing and hands down the best steak and prime rib any of us have had!
I've been to 801 Omaha many times and it one of the best steaks ever as well as the service. St. Louis was terrible. This meal cost $700 and it was lousy quality of meat. Waiter was annoyed when we didn't positively respond to the meal. Thankfully we did not opt for the $50 an ounce steak! There were 3 of us in our party and not one person finished there steak. When asked about the meal none of us could respond. We all agreed we would have been better off anywhere else. You must understand we are not disagreeable people and we frequent steakhouses around the country being on a tour but this was a terrible meal. I own a restaurant myself so I value my customers opinions based on facts and not some extraneous situations but this was not a meal indicative of what you would expect from 801. We don't mind spending the money for good food which is why we go to top notch places but this was so low level that we had to respond truthfully.
Birthday Celebration for my husband
The food was fantastic. However, my husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary (included this detail in reservation), and it was never acknowledged which was very disappointing.
