My husband steak was supposed to be well done but was bloody when he cut into it a was not seasoned at all. My steak was burnt an hard tasted like charcoal. The salads was good an the waiter was very nice but the food was horrible.

Although the restaurant made it right, with complementary, dessert and wine, the steak originally came out undercooked. The lobster, although good, came out, cold as well. The service provided Dave, once again was outstanding!

The steak i ordered was too salty, I also order mushrooms & garlic potatoes which they both were amazingly delicious. The cookies were Good but they weren’t fresh. My boyfriend loved the carrot cake. My server was vey attentive to my boyfriend but 3 times she came to the table and only acknowledged my boyfriend and not me. Other than that we had an okay time…

We had excellent service--the team went above and beyond! Extensive selection of steaks which was great but also interesting and flavorful seafood options. We were on a time schedule due to evening tickets but the wait staff were both efficient and gave us time to enjoy the meal and conversation fully. Really wonderful evening!

My experience at 801 Chophouse was exceptional. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere had a classic steakhouse vibe, and the steaks were outstanding. To start, I highly recommend trying the fried lobster and the thick fried calamari. Both were delicious and set the tone for the rest of the meal. The carpaccio was decent, but the fried lobster and calamari were the real standouts. When it comes to the steaks, you can't go wrong with any of the options. We tried the wet-aged bone-in filet, the Delmonico Ribeye, the Saratoga ribeye, and the A5 Snow Wagyu. Each steak was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. No sauces were needed, but they do offer some amazing sauces. I highly recommend trying the special Nates sauce on the side, which is shrimp with a cheese butter sauce. The lobster mac and garlic mashed potatoes were outstanding side dishes. They perfectly complemented the steaks and added an extra layer of deliciousness to the meal. Lastly, don't pass on the desserts. The house-made chocolate and Grand Marnier soufflé was out of this world. Even the hot out of the oven cookies were delicious. The desserts were the perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note.

We’ve had a lot of wagyu in various spots, but Japanese A5 wagyu doesn’t need to be smothered in butter. There is such a high fat content that it doesn’t benefit from more. In fact, the butter overpowered the flavor. Now the positive: the dry aged ribeye was cooked to perfection. A crispy crust on the exterior, red and cool interior. The flavor has just the right amount of aged funk. Great job!

The ambience of the restaurant is classic steakhouse style with low light and dark paneled wood decor. It's a high-end environment without the elitist attitude. The 'meat presentation' was fantastic (and educational). Learning the difference between wet aged and dry aged steaks was fascinating. The servers' knowledge of the menu and the preparation of the food was impressive. The service was superior w/out being overbearing. Our servers were attentive and responsive. This level of service was at every level from our hostess to the managers who stopped by to ensure our experience was meeting our expectations. The food was top tier and cooked with precision and with a highly flavorful profile. The presentation was relatively basic, but what may have been lacking in presentation style, the taste of the food more than made up for it. A great place for a celebration, special occasion or a just because experience.

I had the snow beef and sunflower feed beef. Both were unbelievable and Mike Cook has been our waiter the last several times. I couldn’t ask for anyone better he recommended the sunflower feed beef and it was great.

My reservation was early (at 4:00 PM), and I expected to be the only one there. I wanted to just sit for a while, and 801 did not disappoint. My server, Marcia, was one of the two best that 801 has, and the whole experience was fantastic.

The food was excellent. The bartender and our waiter Gustavo were observed talking and staring at my dinner companion. She looked over to them and they let out a laughing noise and stopped. She asked to speak with the restaurant manager who was conveniently unavailable. I handled by not tipping on a $330 bill.
